Based on his track record during paid DLC fiasco, I think that he's not the best man for a job.
Don't get me wrong, realising that you have made a horrible mistake and working to fix it ASAP is a good quality.
It's just that it's harder to unlaunch nuclear missiles then steam functionality.
I mean if Gabe Newell put the world on Valve Time everyone would die because nothing would ever deliver in time and there'd be total world peace. Technically correct.
For me, nothing quite beats space stations, space ships or secret labs or compounds. Half-Life 2 was cool, but happening in a regular city didn't quite have that same mystique as Half-Life 1 had inside Black Mesa research facility.
