I don’t know where OP is located but here in Middle Europe raspberry season starts in about a month

They’re not even blooming yet? OP is 10a (semi tropical) so I’d expect them to be further along than mine, and mine are green and half grown. Another possibility: most raspberries require a certain number of chill hours. The only one I’ve heard of that does well in places like Florida is the mysore, which is an invasive black raspberry that’s not as nice as the native one. Plenty of blackberries do well that far south though.

Green is most likely this year's cane, while the brown sprouted last year. Raspberries are a bit like strawberries in that they spread by runners, but those runners are underground.
