Any of the stripped versions or remixes TBH. I’ve never understood why some people like them.

throwthetulipsaway

Hazey stripped is BRILLIANT

Massive-Inflation720

I LOVE HAZEY STRIPPED “YOU KNOW YOURE SO JUICED YOU SAID YOUD KICK THE BOOZEEE” that line is EVERYTHING

mrbimbojenkins

literally one of my top 3 GA songs fr. a lot of "stripped" songs for artists just seem like a slower acoustic version, but Hazey-Stripped is a totally different vibe from the first song and could honestly be its own song if they didn't have the same lyrics lol

PaleBlueDot3324

I actually think Hazey stripped is terrible compared to original Hazey (the later of which is perfect). I don't understand why everyone loves the stripped version.

religion_wya

Black Mambo stripped is so fire though. Has a completely different vibe from the official one

HibiscusRefresher

Came here to say this. I love the black mambo stripped

fruitygucci

cocoa hooves stripped is one of my faves! no hate to the original of course, I just enjoy having the same song in a different style that also goes with my taste :)

SomethingsInTheFloor

i cant stand lose control but ga fans always get mad at me when i say it 😔

Plastic-Programmer36

I get the dislike if thats not your style, but I LOVE it.

Dappledolly

I don’t wanna talk is in my opinion their WORST song ever. I genuinely cannot get behind it and don’t understand why so many people say it’s “underrated” 😭

remy_sucks

I actually agree. it’s really fun if you’re in the mood, but going off their other songs and their otherwise brilliant lyricism, it kinda sucks.

darkerpoole

I hated it at first but it grew on me for sure. Still on the bottom of my list of GA songs but I no longer skip.

HannaIsnthere234556

why do you hate it? its such a vibe #

rocketdede

i love i don’t wanna talk it’s like my top song. my fav line is ‘you fell in love but you don’t know how’

shivermekenzers

Creatures in Heaven 🤣

Beneficial-Analyst21

i like it but it feels a bit too basic? it lacks emotional depth, if that makes sense. it’s in my playlist but i don’t particularly ‘feel’ anything when i listen to it.

NYCScarletSpider

I feel so much when it comes to that song. I refuse to look at the genius annotations for it, but the production combined with the lyrics just make for such vivid possibilities.

niles_deerqueer

It was the first time in a while I felt anything from their new single

Soy_un_oiseau

I’ll upvote you because you answered the question but I’ll downvote you in my heart. I immediately loved that song. Reminds me of past and current relationships

shivermekenzers

Thanks for the upvote! To each their own 🤷🏻‍♀️

ltg8r

Heat Waves. It’s not anywhere close to their even average songs but everyone who got into GA the past five years adores it.

NYCScarletSpider

I would say Heat Waves is middle of the road and just gets stomped on because of how popular it got. It isn’t peak GA, but it isn’t terrible and matched the sonic style of Dreamland.

niles_deerqueer

It’s soooo repetitive though

NYCScarletSpider

In what way? There’s two nice verses, three choruses, and one bridge. 🤷‍♂️ just fine to me

niles_deerqueer

I’m pretty sure each chorus consists of him saying the same lyrics, especially the last one

NYCScarletSpider

that’s what a chorus is… 😭

niles_deerqueer

No??? Not all choruses have the artist repeating the lines twice. For example, The Other Side of Paradise has a long string of lyrics as the chorus, it doesn’t just repeat two lines twice. The Other Side of Paradise: “Bye bye baby blue I wish you could see the wicked truth Caught up in a rush, it's killing you Screaming at the sun, you blow into Curled up in a grip when we were us Fingers in a fist like you might run I settle for a ghost I never knew Superparadise I held on to But I settle for a ghost” Heat Waves: “Sometimes, all I think about is you Late nights in the middle of June Heat waves been fakin' me out Can't make you happier now Sometimes, all I think about is you Late nights in the middle of June Heat waves been fakin' me out Can't make you happier now” He repeats these lines 8 times in the entire song

NYCScarletSpider

Okay, I gotcha now. You meant the chorus itself is repetitive, which I can understand. Personally I think the structure of lines and production supports it to where the repetition doesn’t disrupt the flow of the song, but to each their own.

niles_deerqueer

I didn’t like Dreamland the album in general until this year but I really like it now

terrierhead

The video is pandemic art. So is the Dreamland video.

yamyambaby

I personally love Heat Waves because I can emotionally connect with it. Yeah it’s one of their more pop-y songs but the lyrics were what really drove it home for me.

yazzy-yay

idc how popular it got, heat waves slaps

KidultingPenguin

I love heat waves in principle because the second I heard it on that Netflix show I needed to find this band and I’ve loved everything I’ve heard since. But I can’t hear it anymore lol. They defo have so much nicer music.

reddituser0912333

This is the only true answer here lol, heat waves is like bottom 3 songs for me in all their music — and that was before it blew up

Tia_is_Short

Heat waves is far from my favorite but bottom 3 is crazy😭

daisybear81

Heat wVes is like the “safe” Song but I don’t hate it

ltg8r

I didn’t hate it the first 15 times I heard it. Not even after the third remix. But…there’s a breaking point. And frankly it’s just not representative of Glass Animals. It’s a pop song, not alt rock. I know ZABA isn’t this sub’s jam, but Heat Waves totally betrays the genius of that album. I appreciate that Glass Animals experiment with their music and don’t try to replicate albums that are perfect (ZABA is truly a masterpiece) but…out of their entire catalogue…Heat Waves is just blah.

darkerpoole

By Glass Animals... none. Happy by Pharrel sends me into a fever state.

alfredthesheep777

Their newest song Tears in Space. So much praise for it which i genuinely understand as the lyrics are well written and even the beat and overall rhythm isn’t awful. I just hate it all when it’s put together. The way it’s sung just isn’t really my cup of tea. Objectively, the song is good, but it’s just not my personal taste. Maybe it’ll grow on me. Maybe I’m stuck in their older albums

Massive-Inflation720

I definitely think it grows on you

malevolentbroom335

agree with you. i don’t know what it is but it all just does not click, i especially am not a fan of Dave’s really high pitched voice in the second verse, its very out of place and odd sounding to me. i’m hopeful this won’t be the whole album :/

Sensitive_Fail_727

I agree with you, that falsetto bothered me so much I got a friend to edit it out as the rest of the song is still pretty decent. Let me know if you want the file.

flyingpotato1600

Could you send it to me as well?

malevolentbroom335

oh hell yeah, send it my way

Sensitive_Fail_727

Sent you a chat request with the link

Pantera_Of_Lys

Gooey, I read a review by admittedly some sourpuss who hated ZABA, and he mentioned that Goeey made him feel "quite angry" and that the "diction is smug" because of the "come on little poo bear" line. I lolled at the review and I love ZABA but I sorta see where he is coming from with Goeey and it never was my favorite sounding one from the album to begin with. But I know Goeey is well beloved so please don't hate me.

Massive-Inflation720

I’ll give you a song that everyone hates that i love: melon and the coconut. its soo good and for some reason a lot of people list it as their least favorite on the album 😒

keylime_lacroix

it was always a standout to me. i think it’s so beautiful and feels like a dream. i was surprised to see all the hate

DeepFriedDave69

Probably not everyone but ive heard a lot of people saying good things about the melon and the coconut and I just can’t understand it

GAredditor

It's just so quirky (at risk of sounding strange using quirky) and I like the simplicity of the song and the guitar solos. It just feels like a perfect dreamland bridge between the two halves of the album

Unhappy_Attitude284

I like heatwaves, it’s just so incredibly overplayed that I rarely ever listen to it. I’m glad people like it though. I only really listen to it one time a year.

Cosmic-Nyatsuki

Someone already said Heat Waves so I'm throwing in Airlock. I just don't like the repetitiveness which is saying something because I love Psylla 😭

NYCScarletSpider

It’s just a vibe to me. It’s fun to sing but doesn’t have much substance to it.

niles_deerqueer

Repetitiveness? There’s only like 2 choruses

ashtree01

Tangerine. Just super run of the mill imo then the malls and shopping centers in my area started playing it to death so the repeated exposure kind of killed a song I would have otherwise just said is mid. I genuinely cannot tell you a single lyric from that song outside the chorus, nothing stuck with me at all.

sittingdiastolic

Melon and the Coconut…

Emotional-Link-8302

It's really grown on me through my Dreamland revisits

Beneficial-Analyst21

i don’t think anyone likes M&TC

sittingdiastolic

I’d believe that.

no_instructions

s2e3 sorry

niles_deerqueer

Heat Waves, and I’m talking about how popular it is when thinking of “everyone loves it”

thepantryraid_

Most days I really like pork soda but some days it comes on and I’m like :(

Plastic-Programmer36

Holiest

Different_Letter9835

poplar street tbh, i dont think i've *ever* thought "man i want to listen to poplar st rn"

FIynnItToWinIt

:(

N_IsGoingToHell

D:

niles_deerqueer

Nooo way the guitar and lyrics rock on this

mcfleurish

domestic bliss

undercover_james

Overshadowed by a lot of the other dreamland songs imo

remy_sucks

Totally, it feels a bit too victim-blamey and maybe like it’s only seeing the situation from one perspective. Pretty mid tbh.

soscogaidh

I've always strongly strongly disliked Season 2 Episode 3

Beneficial-Analyst21

you get it i thought i was the only one

stargirlphilly

domestic bliss it’s the only song i cant listen to

Olivia_was_here

Heat waves....

acidicdecays

Airlock and creatures in heaven, I feel like they’re too mainstream pop feeling and I prefer the weird more psychedelic pop sound of the other albums

Strawwb3rry

Creatures in Heaven, though that seems to be a song of mixed reviews at best

normanscardigan

Tangerine--I really wish I liked it. It's just too boring for me, I can't get into it. There's no part that stands out to me. Does anyone have any tips on how to get a new take on it, I really want to enjoy it...the only part I vibe with is the "on repeat" section. :(

hellochoy

Watch the Live On The Internet set! I didn't like the album at all until I saw them perform it live (even through a screen lol). But also it's okay to just not like a song if it doesn't click with you.

Margaret_mayhem

Season 2, Episode 3. I couldn’t play it around my ex husband because he couldn’t stand the line about eating mayonnaise straight from the jar. I loved it.

inkwisitive

Cane Shuga. It feels less creative than the rest of HTBAHB for me, like Alt-J covering Cry Me A River or something

Pantera_Of_Lys

Oh really? I adore the chorus especially because this character in the song feels like a real person. And I like the chaos of it and actually think it's pretty creative.

pietydenied

Season 2 Episode 3. One of the few songs I really don't like.

Beneficial-Analyst21

same!! i don’t like that song much either tbh

LotusTheFox

Waterfalls Coming Out Your Mouth

Hot-Prompt5222

this was my introduction to glass animals and is the reason I'm obsessed lol

LotusTheFox

They have so many songs that are better than it, dare i say 80% of their discography is better

ca-ri

That’s not the question but I want to know if I’m the only one who doesn’t like any of the new stuff (from 2024)

Certain_Patient1845

While I'm personally enjoying it, you're not alone in disliking it. It clicks for some, does nothing for others

ross_styx

I don't hate them at all, but I'm not the biggest fan of Cocoa Hooves or TOSOP.

cheerfulflowerss

Heat Waves. Too repetitive for my liking and the chorus just annoys me 😭but it really isn’t terrible!

Certain_Patient1845

I've never been able to get into Golden Antlers or Dust In Your Pockets. They're the only GA songs I genuinely skip. I'm not really sure why, Golden Antlers just kinda bores me and DIYP's vocals irritate me. I can see why others would like them, but they're not for me

Overall-Rice4477

Hazey

Beneficial-Analyst21

listen to the stripped version!

ExtensionFollowing75

Pork Soda. Idk why but I just hate it.

daisybear81

It’s all so incredibly loud 😔 I wish I like it but I just don’t

No_Individual8215

Youth. I don’t find it interesting at all. The chorus is not too bad, but really does not hit it for me. Never have I willingly listened to that song unless I’m listening to HTBAHB (I would practically skip it)

impulsivebumblebee

About to be really hated here, but mamas gun and Agnes. I love the rest of htbahb album and it’s my favorite album but just those two I almost always skip 😭

JelloWheel

TAKE ME TO CHURCH

InnocentTopHat

Waterfalls Coming Out Your Mouth I've always felt like the guitar sounds like a throw away loop from HTBAHB, the lyrics are laughably bad, the tongue in cheek doesn't work, and the production feels oddly flat.

localstreetcat

The Other Side of Paradise. It really wouldn’t be a bad song, but the grunt sound incorporated into the beat is annoying to me and completely ruins the song.

Firm-Sweet8097

That’s what I like about the song 😂

niles_deerqueer

That’s one of the best parts of the song, especially grunting along with it at the end

CornToastie

Tokyo drifting

Over_Measurement1657

take a slice

FIynnItToWinIt

Someone didn’t fuck their way through college

Over_Measurement1657

I alwyas skip that song, sorry! just can't stand that part about sausages. 😐

Beneficial-Analyst21

but that’s like the best part wdym

Roxanne-Annabelle642

This is hilarious because I literally listen to the sausage intro and then skip the rest of the song 😂😂 Not me walking around going “I get that money in 20s 20s 20s, I just like sausage”

foxinthewoods

Anges. Tangerine.

gwummi

Youth, there's something about it that i just hate, but i can't put my finger on it, i guess it's just not really my vibe

FIynnItToWinIt

:(

GAredditor

Youth is my favourite GA song ever haha

TheGodlyFrog

tangerine is genuinely a shit song

Mizzi_The_One

Hazey is the only ZABA song i skip. I just think he sounds whiny in it

Certain_Patient1845

It's the only song outshined by its stripped version

Mizzi_The_One

Amen

Big-Double-199

Cocoa Hooves I don't get why so many people adore this song, imo it's honestly GA's worst song made, the song sounds like it wants to be a stripped back version of another GA song from ZABA and it just falls flat.

Apollo19755

Just wait til your hear cocoa hooves stripped then
