No??? Not all choruses have the artist repeating the lines twice. For example, The Other Side of Paradise has a long string of lyrics as the chorus, it doesn’t just repeat two lines twice.

Okay, I gotcha now. You meant the chorus itself is repetitive, which I can understand. Personally I think the structure of lines and production supports it to where the repetition doesn’t disrupt the flow of the song, but to each their own.
I personally love Heat Waves because I can emotionally connect with it. Yeah it’s one of their more pop-y songs but the lyrics were what really drove it home for me.
I love heat waves in principle because the second I heard it on that Netflix show I needed to find this band and I’ve loved everything I’ve heard since. But I can’t hear it anymore lol. They defo have so much nicer music.

But…there’s a breaking point. And frankly it’s just not representative of Glass Animals. It’s a pop song, not alt rock.

Their newest song Tears in Space. So much praise for it which i genuinely understand as the lyrics are well written and even the beat and overall rhythm isn’t awful. I just hate it all when it’s put together. The way it’s sung just isn’t really my cup of tea. Objectively, the song is good, but it’s just not my personal taste. Maybe it’ll grow on me. Maybe I’m stuck in their older albums

Gooey, I read a review by admittedly some sourpuss who hated ZABA, and he mentioned that Goeey made him feel "quite angry" and that the "diction is smug" because of the "come on little poo bear" line. I lolled at the review and I love ZABA but I sorta see where he is coming from with Goeey and it never was my favorite sounding one from the album to begin with.
But I know Goeey is well beloved so please don't hate me.
I’ll give you a song that everyone hates that i love: melon and the coconut. its soo good and for some reason a lot of people list it as their least favorite on the album 😒
It's just so quirky (at risk of sounding strange using quirky) and I like the simplicity of the song and the guitar solos. It just feels like a perfect dreamland bridge between the two halves of the album
I like heatwaves, it’s just so incredibly overplayed that I rarely ever listen to it. I’m glad people like it though. I only really listen to it one time a year.
Tangerine. Just super run of the mill imo then the malls and shopping centers in my area started playing it to death so the repeated exposure kind of killed a song I would have otherwise just said is mid. I genuinely cannot tell you a single lyric from that song outside the chorus, nothing stuck with me at all.
Tangerine--I really wish I liked it. It's just too boring for me, I can't get into it. There's no part that stands out to me.

I've always felt like the guitar sounds like a throw away loop from HTBAHB, the lyrics are laughably bad, the tongue in cheek doesn't work, and the production feels oddly flat.
The Other Side of Paradise. It really wouldn’t be a bad song, but the grunt sound incorporated into the beat is annoying to me and completely ruins the song.
This is hilarious because I literally listen to the sausage intro and then skip the rest of the song 😂😂
