My local Aldi had the GF ravioli and GF pizza dough for about a hot minute before it sold out. Other than that, nothing. They haven't even brought back the GF mac n cheese.
Last year, the GF cheesecakes showed up in late May in my area, so there might still be some hope there.
My roommate hasnāt gotten the cheesecake before because the only two stores near Austin absolutely suck for gluten free food.
Iām at the point of asking my brother to pick me up one as soon as his store has them, and my sister and I can go grab it when we go to handle some errands in that area.
Iām also wondering whatās up with this monthās total lack of a GF drop! I discovered my gluten sensitivity last April and went absolutely ham at Aldi in May. Been looking forward to it ever since š
Mine just had the eggrolls and the usual stuff. Two weeks ago, they had english muffins, but they were out of the cinnamon raisin.
I was so disappointed because we finally got aldi a few months ago, and I was looking forward to getting all the stuff I've read about.
I bought the pizza dough, because everyone was raving about it. It was okay, but not delicious. I bought the plain and cinnamon raisin English muffins, but that was a week ago, so Iām not exactly holding out hope.
A couple weeks ago they had the frozen ravioli, fresh tortellini, and frozen pot stickers. They also had frozen English muffins. Still havenāt seen the cheesecake yet so keeping my fingers crossed. I always buy a couple and vacuum seal the individual pieces so I can have a little treat throughout the year š¤£
They should have a little gluten free area built into a store or 2 in larger metro areas. Just a dedicated space with a freezer, cooler, and some shelves loaded with their hard to find, rarely released gf products. It would be really nice for us and they're likely to have more sales/customers who are looking for gluten free in larger metros. If if goes well, they could add them into more stores.
I agree. I hate how the stores all decided to put the gluten-free items in the same section as the non gluten-free items. I frequently accidentally grab a regular item in error.
Of course not trying to argue with your opinion, just curious how long have you been gf? I only ask because that ravioli is the only kind Iāve ever had (GF for 14 years) and Iām curious if you know any better gf ravioli brands (if so please pmo) or if youāre comparing it to non-gf ravioli? I wish you luck and I hate that you didnāt enjoy itš
I have been gf for almost five years. The Aldi ravioli normally isnāt bad, I think the bag I got was rotten or something because it didnāt look or taste right. My favorite brand is capelloās but it is really expensive so I only eat it on special occasions
I want the GF General Tos Chicken so freaking bad!! My Aldi did not have it. But it also did not have any of the other things many people have been posting about on here. But I also have 3 Aldi's near me and have had the SAME experience at all of them. It's so frustrating. š
Itās a year round thing at most stores. Itās not in the bunker freezers like the one time only stuff - itās with the regular breaded chicken parts in the main freezer. However, it sells out quite often.
Hey, I don't even like that General Tso's! Check Walmart or Kroger for REAL GOOD FOODS GENERAL TSO'S CHICKEN! It's real chicken breast pieces and I buy at least 4-5 bags a month. It's so good!!!
I remember trying the Aldi Live G Free version when I was diagnosed years ago and I was so upset because it was like chicken patty nuggets and it wasn't even good.
Real Good Foods is where it's at! I'm telling you is delicious! My sons are 18 and 21, not GF and they love it too. They have single frozen dinners but I buy the bags and fix a big pot of rice!! š¤¤
Good luck!! If by chance your store doesn't carry it, all you have to do is request it!! It's $6 a bag and it feeds the three of us! Plus it's available year round.
Last time I went for the May celiac deals I got the egg rolls and the General Tso's and they were both disgusting. I dislike their pasta as well, the raviolis are good when I can find them so it's not worth the 40 minute trip to be disappointed everytime and wasting the gas. I will have to look for the real good foods version.
There was a ton of gluten free stuff at Walmart. I go to Aldi's to get the basics, check out any new stuff or things that go fast, but I get most of the gluten free stuff at Walmart.
Yeah Walmart has gotten really good for GF. And they cycle through things so it's not uncommon to find old things on clearance and new things to try. Also if you use Ibotta they will have Walmart rebates for GF stuff a lot. Right now (or at least last week when I went) they had $1. 50 off scharr bread which brought it down to like $4.50 each. You could get up to 4l5 at once. But they usually have scharr, canyon bakehouse, goodie girl, things like that on the Ibotta app for Walmart.
I saw photos of the ravioli, maybe English muffins, and for sure the pizza dough on one of my gluten free fb groups, but I havenāt seen any of these in person this year.
I haven't had any of that from Aldi's (yet), but Brazi Bites makes pizza bites that are really satisfying. I've found them in several regular grocery stores (US), and I think they have a locater on their webpage. Their garlic asiago cheese bread is incredible, too.
The came mid to late April and were gone in a heartbeat. I figured they'd restock for May but nope. I feel Aldi in general has been underestimating the demand for GF. Maybe it's difficulty with suppliers but they seem to have been slowly reducing their GF selection. It can't be lack of sales because the stuff flies off the shelf and is always out of stock.
This is the second year in a row that my ALDI has had a disappointing May in terms of Celiac Awareness Month! This is the second time I've gone this month and there hasn't been anything special!
For new products....I was able to get one pizza dough, 2 things of ravioli, and a box of the egg rolls and that's it.
Ope there were English muffins...but not my cup of tea. I'm done trying more bread products that are more than likely not even up to my very low standards for GF bread. Lol but yeah, they rly didn't have anything new at the two stores I went to the other day. š
My Aldi usually only carries gf stuff at the beginning of the year when the New Yearās resolutions are on full force. People usually drop off by month 3 and thatās when a lot of stores drop gf stuff š. It sucks
Iāve seen comments about Aldi gluten free goods in May on Facebook. Many people buy a huge amount of them for their freezers thus leaving little or nothing for others.
It's not just you. I'm in NC and I was hoping and praying for anything new. I've been there 5 times in the past 2 weeks just for odds and ends and once because I was just excited. I didn't ask but there was nothing special there. Just a loaf of gf bread and some general tso's chicken... Nothing new. And to add insult to injury it seemed like they were out of the mac and cheese/noodles they normally carry :'(
I have seen a few of the item recently and will probably have some more later. I donāt think they are doing a lot of releases at the same time. They havenāt had the pizza bites in a few years and I wish they would bring them back. Such a good deal.
Two years ago, they had (rebranded to LiveGFree) Maninis heat and serve dinners and they were the most incredible things ever. I have no local places that carry them and they didn't bring them back last year. I even reached out and asked Aldi and they said they weren't bringing them back.
Now this year, they dropped a few things one week in late April and absolutely nothing so far for May. I'm so disappointed too.
Iām wondering now if the lack of gluten free items is because the āgluten free trendā is pretty much over. Now it is plant-based and low carb, if I recall correctly.
We should write Aldi and say. Dear Aldi what happened to our gluten free stuff. I only saw egg rolls one week. That was it. Once itās gone thatās it. I donāt even have the chicken anymore.
Here in Pittsburgh, we have several Aldi locations. The one on the southside had a few new things. The one in Shadyside/East Liberty didn't have any. I think it varies by store.
I had the same experience. The employee looked at me like I was insane. All they used to be my primary grocery store but the one by us has really gone downhill since covid. I rarely go anymore
Where I live I have an Aldi and the only free from is milk and that is it and nothing else at all. Aldi Suckās! Mark My word!!! If u want any free from go to Asda to there award winning Free From Fresh fridge produce and free from dry produce they have got everything u can imagine even Assad have there own free from gluten self-rising flour and free from plain flour too. You should take a trip to your local Asda to fine out for yourself to see
My Aldi rarely has even the few items people rave about here.
Mine too š
Same here. I usually only find the basic Live Active brand pasta and bread.
My local Aldi had the GF ravioli and GF pizza dough for about a hot minute before it sold out. Other than that, nothing. They haven't even brought back the GF mac n cheese. Last year, the GF cheesecakes showed up in late May in my area, so there might still be some hope there.
I managed to snag the ravioli and pizza crusts as well as the fresh pasta (tortellini and fusilli). I guess I hit them on the right day.
Iām bummed they cancelled the mac n cheese. They also stopped carrying their coco crispy rice cereal at the stores by me.
Their shells and cheese were my favorite. I'm so upset they cancelled it!
My roommate hasnāt gotten the cheesecake before because the only two stores near Austin absolutely suck for gluten free food. Iām at the point of asking my brother to pick me up one as soon as his store has them, and my sister and I can go grab it when we go to handle some errands in that area.
I found both those once. Gone now but they were very good if anyone finds them.
Omg same! I got 1 pizza dough and it was amazing! I went back last night to get more and it was all gone š
Very very little this year š And I know I didn't miss anything because I check their website every week to see what new stuff will be coming!
Same! They usually have a lot of new GF items for Celiac awareness month!! Nothing new out at my store either
WHERE IS MY YEARLY CHEESECAKEā¼ļø
BRING ME MY CHEESECAKE!!!!
fr Iāve been going to the store next to my job every day
Iām also wondering whatās up with this monthās total lack of a GF drop! I discovered my gluten sensitivity last April and went absolutely ham at Aldi in May. Been looking forward to it ever since š
Mine has less GF options than usual š„²
Same! Theyāve been out of just the regular pasta I always get for over a week š”
Mine just had the eggrolls and the usual stuff. Two weeks ago, they had english muffins, but they were out of the cinnamon raisin. I was so disappointed because we finally got aldi a few months ago, and I was looking forward to getting all the stuff I've read about.
EGGROLLS?!?! I need these. Feel Good Foods changed their recipe, and theyāre not worth buying anymore.
They had chicken and vegetable. I haven't tried them yet so I don't know how they taste.
I didn't think the flavor was very good. It was a nice crunch though
I bought the pizza dough, because everyone was raving about it. It was okay, but not delicious. I bought the plain and cinnamon raisin English muffins, but that was a week ago, so Iām not exactly holding out hope.
I thought the pizza dough was good for the price/ convenience. Definitely not my best gf pizza but I would get more if they actually had it.
I agree about the price. Tbh, also with the convenience I was really tired the night I baked mine. Just had to pat it out and throw on some toppings.

I saw someone post that Cheesecake is in the ad for the sale starting the 15th of May
Yes just saw this on my local ad too! (Pennsylvania)
Same. There was one pack of raveoli left and it tasted awful
Of course not trying to argue with your opinion, just curious how long have you been gf? Costco has Capellos ravioli
Sadly I donāt have a Costco
I heard celentano makes a GF ravioli but I havenāt been able to find them let alone taste them
Conte. I buy them at Wegmans.
Taste Republic is pretty good.
I want the GF General Tos Chicken so freaking bad!! My Aldi did not have it. But it also did not have any of the other things many people have been posting about on here. But I also have 3 Aldi's near me and have had the SAME experience at all of them. It's so frustrating. š

That is good to know! I didn't know that, thank you!!

You're welcome! š„°

I know it! I'm pretty much done with Aldi. It's so good! Their nuggets are our favorite too. My boys prefer the tenders and I love the nuggs. ā¤ļø
I can't live unless I spend at least half of my paycheck on cheesecake!!

As a couponer, thank you for the Ibotta tip!
I saw photos of the ravioli, maybe English muffins, and for sure the pizza dough on one of my gluten free fb groups, but I havenāt seen any of these in person this year.
I just want the pizza rolls to come back
Yeah those were so good.
I haven't had any of that from Aldi's (yet), but Brazi Bites makes pizza bites that are really satisfying. I've found them in several regular grocery stores (US), and I think they have a locater on their webpage. Their garlic asiago cheese bread is incredible, too.
the aldi by my parents house was STOCKED with everything i could want. the two aldis by my house, one has gen tso. the other had nothing.
My Aldi had the extra GF items in mid-April. For a week.

They sell out super fast whenever stuff comes in :(

Definitely depends on the market. Go to your local higher end town where being gf is a lifestyle and not a requirement; youāll be surprised.
Mine came like a month ago. Seems like they just did it early this year.
I just got back from aldi...Everything that was gluten free in the freezers were blocked off. I couldn't get anything.
I saw someone else post itāll be next week when they put it all out. š¤·š½āāļø
May I ask why is aldi supposed to get special gluten free items in May?
In previous years Aldi would feature GF items to coincide with Celiac Awareness Month (May). Things that they didnāt have year round.
Yea our Aldi that is usually well stocked had the GF english muffins in April and has had absolutely nothing since.
That shows the demand!!
I wonder if itās an inflation thing
My Aldi never has gluten free stuff other than loafs of bread
It's not just you. I'm in NC and I was hoping and praying for anything new. I've been there 5 times in the past 2 weeks just for odds and ends and once because I was just excited. I didn't ask but there was nothing special there. Just a loaf of gf bread and some general tso's chicken... Nothing new. I thought y'all were crazy talking about aldi having cheesecake. I guess they don't care this year.
Letās all start writing to Aldi to get more GF items on the shelves!
The mac and cheese was a favorite in our house. I can't believe they've discontinued it!
I just got the gf mac and cheese this week. Weird.
It's been out of stock for weeks at my local stores. It's been a year round item for years and suddenly I can't find it. Hopefully it will come back.
I'm so so sad the mac & cheese is gone š
Aldi in my town basically has nothing gluten free at all. Gotta go to Publix or a health food store :/
Iām wondering now if the lack of gluten free items is because the āgluten free trendā is pretty much over. Now it is plant-based and low carb, if I recall correctly.
Yes but that's definitely not fair to us where it's not a trend
I have suspected that this is the case. I've also noticed that my local grocery store is carrying fewer gluten-free items than they used to.
We should write Aldi and say. Dear Aldi what happened to our gluten free stuff. I only saw egg rolls one week. That was it. Once itās gone thatās it. I donāt even have the chicken anymore.
I miss when Aldi did gluten free Pringles. They were amazing then they had to go and change the recipe
I noticed no GF advertising this year. It is usually in May.
Here in Pittsburgh, we have several Aldi locations. The one on the southside had a few new things. The one in Shadyside/East Liberty didn't have any. I think it varies by store.
My local Aldi stopped doing it a few years ago. I still check every year just in case but yeah huge bummer
SPROUTS is the king of GF. The entire store has gluten-free options all the way through it. Plus a gluten-free section.
I had the same experience. The employee looked at me like I was insane. All they used to be my primary grocery store but the one by us has really gone downhill since covid. I rarely go anymore
I normally stock up on their gluten free Mac and cheese an was severely disappointed it wasnāt in stock
It's been out for weeks in my area!
Mine had the stuff a couple weeks ago but I havenāt checked this week. I think they got stuff in early and then didnāt restock.
In England, Aldi only stocks products that are deliberately gluten free in the middle aisle every now and again.
Mine had the frozen English muffins for a week. I went back a week later hoping to get more and there were none.
Why May, specifically? Did this happen last year? I donāt have Aldi.
May is Celiac Awareness Month. I know I found some of the different products last year in May.
Ah, this makes SO much more sense. Thank you.
I've never understood the rave of Aldis. I never find anything there AND have to bag my own š©??? No thanksss
iāve only been to aldi once before! i should go look again :)
Someone tell me those seasoned pretzels they just had are an annual/ regular item??? I wouldāve bought WAY more if I knew they were leaving
Where I live I have an Aldi and the only free from is milk and that is it and nothing else at all. Aldi Suckās! Mark My word!!! May 15th is cheesecake day. That's when they're supposed to get them in stock
