3 years old this July! My life is crazy 🤪

Are they littermates? I’ve heard advice (for dogs in general) not to get littermates because they can fight more, but I find it hard to believe to be true about goldens!

They are! And I don’t think so. The boy definitely listens more and is less stubborn. My girl cleo always gets her way! Im not sure if it’s more so my fault because I spoil her or she’s just more stubborn, either way they’ve are the best! One is more golden and the other more retriever. The girl lives for balls and fetching and the boy lives to cuddle!

That was March 2021. Hemangiosarcoma. He passed last month, April 2024. Also Hemangiosarcoma. It's brutal. Littermates

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry 😭 my girls are both under 2 but health issues is a big fear of mine. I’m sorry you had to endure that, I’m sure you gave them the best lives ever 💕

I lost my Catahoula in February to hemangiosarcoma. It’s an awful thing because it’s so sudden. He was given 1-3 days when he was diagnosed and I got a month with him. I knew it was coming but it didn’t hurt any less.

She was 14 days between diagnosis and passing. We started aggressive screening of him, caught it last Sept, started chemo in Oct. We got 7 months. Of mostly good time. But some not great time. Nothing really terrible. University vet oncology clinic. Only way to do this. Local vets don't do enough of this to be good at it.

My guy got lymphoma at 6. Was able to buy 4 more years for 50k. I felt like we were buying human level chemotherapy without insurance.

7 months for 12k, I feel your pain

My gosh. Hemangiosarcoma. I wish I had known about it before it happened to me, too. How far apart were they in age? I lost my girl at 11.5 and just got a new baby. I want to get her a friend eventually but don’t want to lose them at the same time 😭😭

Got sassy at 8 weeks (her 1 year gotcha day is tomorrow!). A few weeks ago, the breeder posted on FB they had a 1 year old to find a home for. When I inquired, they said he was from the same litter and was one that they kept for future breeding. But ended up with more dogs than they needed and decided to rehome him. We brought him home a few weeks ago and they are just the best buddies!! But they are sooo different personalities. *
