No matter what negative thing is happening in my life, once I’m on the course, I escape it all and focus on golf and golf alone.

Edit and no-one who gets divorced is leaving a happy marriage. He was probably miserable while also dealing with Liv v PGA stuff whilst also having a young daughter. Now he’s got a massive weight off his shoulders and his whole life in front of him.
That’s fine when it comes to playing. But it makes everything else harder - sleeping, eating healthy, you’re training, having the drive to try new things, find new coaches, work with the media, etc. an alive sportsman can’t just turn up on the Thursdays
If they've filed for divorce the shit stuff is probably well and truly done. I doubt they woke up the other day and had a huge Barney and said fuck it, we're getting divorced. They have likely been discussing and working on their marriage for some time and already agreed to divorce, figure it all out and just now decided to make it official.
Yeah I imagine they've been separated for a while. This is just paperwork. Do people actually think they woke up together in the morning and they filed for divorce later that day?
Shane Warne was the greatest spin bowler cricket has ever seen. He was also a party animal who smoked, shagged strippers and dated Liz Hurley. At one point his wife publicly called out his infidelity on the eve of a huge series and moved out with the kids. He had his best results ever against england. Crazy.

First time I shot in the 80’s was an afternoon where a fight with my other half escalated to the point where I just left the house and drove aimlessly to cool off rather than let things continue to escalate… then I happened to see a golf course I’d never played before, pulled in and tee’d off 5 mins later. Shot an 86 between reading angry texts spamming my phone. I was so busy being upset that I didn’t think about anything golf related.. just played. By the time I was done, I was happy to have shot 86, she was calmed down, and everything worked out. Drama can be good for the golf game if you’re typically too stuck in your own head
