He is a great example of how you balance your family time and a profession. Summer and spring breaks, family doesn't need to be at the tournament all day but are there when you end your day.
While I agree with you, but I certainly can’t relate or say how I would do shit given the income he has.
It’s illegal for you not to provide education your children. I’m sure he’s taking care of it
Just to be clear - you can actively look at what the standards are for every public school in the nation, and *spoiler alert* none of them are pushing agendas.
Now, if you’re talking about private Christian schools on the other hand…
> not pushing agendas.
That rules out 99% of private schools.
I went to 2 growing up. One parochial, one secular. Both existed to push agendas on the students, and both operated at the behest of the largest donors.
This dude lost his mother in a car accident the night before his first child was born. He had other family in the vehicle, too. Thankfully, they're okay. I can't blame him for holding onto the important things as hard as he does.
the craziest part is HE ran into his moms car when he was taking his wife to the emergency room trying to rush her there.
Not cool finau, NOT cool. look it up.
Imagine winning $1.2M for playing 72 holes of golf and having that be a relatively bad day.
Not hating, Finau is one of my favorite golfers, but man what a life.
Exactly my thought. Finau is one of the most likeable players on the tour but one should not feel bad for him for not winning any majors, on the contrary, he has a gorgeous family and still earns almost a mill every tournament. Most people would be happy if they only had a family like his and he plays well enough to fund a lifestyle way over what most of his fans could only dream of.
i know right dude is literally a professional golfer who dictates his own schedule. he probably sees his kids way more than any 9-5er certainly more than any reporter going around chasing golfers.
He seems like legitimately a great guy. I have 2 separate friends who have dealt with Tony in business deals. Both have said he is extremely nice and very easy to deal with.
Didn't really know him before Tiger's last win at Augusta but I've been a fan ever since. He's such a good dude. I really hope to see him win a major someday
No? You get credit for stuff like that?
Listen, when somebody says a woman is "stunning" she's not what comes to mind to most of the male population. She's probably a lovely woman, wife and mother though.
I mean the giant check for getting 30th is nice too right?
If i could choose any profession it would okayish to amazing golfer because the okayish ones still do exceptionally well.
Damn, some days I feel really smart for avoiding being locked down with a woman that doesn’t love me anymore and living vicariously through kids lives, and other times, like when I see this shit, I feel like a fucking idiot for staying single.
I love everything about the Finaus. That segment where he talked about visiting his mother’s grave with his family a couple weeks ago hit me super hard. He’s a full on Teddy bear on the inside but a stud on the outside.
As a relatively new golfer, can someone explain to me the obsession with golfers' personal lives? Every other sport I've played, no one cares, but every conversation I've had while golfing has turned into a discussion of people's girlfriends, children, etc.
Not saying I disapprove or anything, but just wanted to see ppl's thoughts
Honestly this is why he’s never going to reach his full potential, and I think he knows it and he’s ok with it. I absolutely would be too. He’s got the skill to be a Rory or Rahm but that takes a lot of sacrifice that he’s not willing to do. I still think he’s gonna crack into the major champion category though. Even if he doesn’t he’s won a handful of times while making tens of millions of dollars and keeping his big family happy and together. You can’t root against this guy.
Eh also lived in the more “traditional wife” time period. I think big Tony will get one eventually. Should have just chipped instead of putting from the fairway and he had a chance.
Winning is winning. Having a family is having a family. You can find joy in both however there is no correlation here, this is dumb. Scottie wins and has a family.
Nicest player on tour
Yes, he is. I walked 18 with him during a practice round and also got to meet his wife and kids.
Peter Malnati would like to have a word
![gif](giphy|qKV8U3Gl3bWVi)
Nicest contender on tour, hows that?
I don't disagree with you but tbf only one of them has a W this year
fair enough, but one has never made the cut in a major and is 37 and Tony has top 5s in all four majors, and regularly contending every tourny hes in.
No I 100% agree, Tony's a major winner coming soon I hope. Just a funny fact
He’s so real. His family too. His wife always has her mother with her herding the kids. I think he has 5.
He is a great example of how you balance your family time and a profession. Summer and spring breaks, family doesn't need to be at the tournament all day but are there when you end your day.
Im pretty sure they travel with him year round
Should be in school.
While I agree with you, but I certainly can’t relate or say how I would do shit given the income he has. It’s illegal for you not to provide education your children. I’m sure he’s taking care of it
Interaction with those who may not think or have different opinions, and how to deal with them.

Right, and ANYTHING is better than public schools.
Not sure where you live as I’m sure that has a lot to do with an opinion like this. But Nah, this ain’t it.
I was being only slightly hyperbolic. State, area, district dependent, as long as it’s about learning basics and not pushing agendas.
Just to be clear - you can actively look at what the standards are for every public school in the nation, and *spoiler alert* none of them are pushing agendas. Now, if you’re talking about private Christian schools on the other hand…

Correct, and 99% of public schools.
No one can look at this photo without smiling: https://golf.com/news/tony-finau-heartwarming-viral-video-kids/?amp=1
Getting on that Phillip Rivers level.
Charles Rogers, less down time.
This dude lost his mother in a car accident the night before his first child was born. He had other family in the vehicle, too. Thankfully, they're okay. I can't blame him for holding onto the important things as hard as he does.
Damn that's incredibly sad.
the craziest part is HE ran into his moms car when he was taking his wife to the emergency room trying to rush her there. Not cool finau, NOT cool. look it up.
I’ve seen lots of bad jokes on the internet, this one’s up there
its an honor to be on a sux list.
It’s an honor to be on the shitty joke list I guess right?
My favorite player on the tour

Fuck that reporter that suggested him having 5 kids was a "distraction". It's his everything.
[удалено]
needs new motivation, lets start with a hotter wife. but what can i say, i guess he just likes hitting things fat. *da-dum, tss*
coming from the guy who’s never seen a naked woman
i once saw a guy naked. does that count?
Calling yourself a guy is a stretch
you cant read lol
i know right dude is literally a professional golfer who dictates his own schedule. he probably sees his kids way more than any 9-5er certainly more than any reporter going around chasing golfers.
What a terrible reporter
When I saw that I thought to myself that for Tony, golf is probably the distraction to what he values most with his time.
I want him to win a major so bad.
#HOW! BAD! IS! IT!?
He seems like legitimately a great guy. I have 2 separate friends who have dealt with Tony in business deals. Both have said he is extremely nice and very easy to deal with.
Didn't really know him before Tiger's last win at Augusta but I've been a fan ever since. He's such a good dude. I really hope to see him win a major someday
Great for him. Right attitude. When I walk off the course it’s usually after carding a 140. I want nothing to do with anyone. Just a dark room
That’s great man But please win this week I need it
Turned my Dad into a Finau fan after I made him watch the episode he was in on Full Swing
I saw his wife at augusta she was stunning
Ehhhhh....to each their own
Can we give him credit for not marrying a bleach blonde Insta-thot like so many of his peers opted for?
No? You get credit for stuff like that? Listen, when somebody says a woman is "stunning" she's not what comes to mind to most of the male population. She's probably a lovely woman, wife and mother though.
Found the incel!
Why does making a fairly objective comment make me an incel lol Reddit...man...you follow the tinder subreddit....might wanna check yourself haha
yeah going through someone’s reddit profile as ammunition is really gonna show you’re not an incel lol
yeah I would’ve deleted that comment too lol
Because you stated a purely subjective opinion
Looks pretty good for popping out 5 kids if you ask me
Pretty good = stunning. Got it.
“This meal is great!” “Great? I mean, it’s fine. It’s tasty. No five-star Michelin dinner, though. *That* would be great.”
Better looking than rorys wife imo. Even my wife looks better and I make 80K a year
That's something non-winners say!... I'm kidding.. Love this
I mean the giant check for getting 30th is nice too right? If i could choose any profession it would okayish to amazing golfer because the okayish ones still do exceptionally well.
His Wife’s IG is adorable and chalked full of heartwarming family moments, highly recommend a follow. Beautiful family, love the Finaus
Damn, some days I feel really smart for avoiding being locked down with a woman that doesn’t love me anymore and living vicariously through kids lives, and other times, like when I see this shit, I feel like a fucking idiot for staying single.
It’s a win win Or lose lose I still don’t know.
He really fits the perception I have of mormons after watching the south park episode about them
Sheee…. Don’t need to golf to see your kids Tony! My cousin broke and he with his kids all the time!
Tear
I love everything about the Finaus. That segment where he talked about visiting his mother’s grave with his family a couple weeks ago hit me super hard. He’s a full on Teddy bear on the inside but a stud on the outside.
“Hey Big dog!”
What?
From Full Swing. Finau calls his son Big Dog
No, just mean my username!
Lol
Tony’s the man!!
Always pull hard for him.
This is why Tony is one of my favorite golfers on tour and am always pulling for him every weekend.
Love his swing and his ball trajectory. Poetry in motion.
It’s insane to see in person launches the driver so high.
Is there a link to the actual post?
Dude is a great man !
I mean what’s not to like about Tony? Seems like a great dude.
r/daddit
I don't think there is a more likable guy on tour. Class act, family man, and a hell of golfer. I'll always root for Tony.
My and my fiance both balled during his episode on Full Swing
Impossible to dislike Tony.
My favorite!
He's my guy
I wanna Caddie for Tony. What a beauty.
I wanted him to win so bad. The round him and Rory were paired together, he had multiple looks at an ace. He was on.
Bro will never win a major, gotta hate your family to do that now
……..so Scottie hates his family???
Whoosh
In a way you're both winners but in another, more accurate way, Bryson is the winner
He'll always be a bridesmaid
That, and $1.2 Mil Id feel like a winner too.
Dude seems like an amazing person and father, happy to see him get a couple of good finishes these last 2.
Sweet daddy! 😎
$1.29M is also a win. Finau quickly becoming the #1 fan favorite. Cheers.
Always root for Tony when he is in the hunt.
He always reminds me of one of nicest people in this world.
Hopefully some wins in his future this year!!!
The $1,299,51.00 would make me feel like a winner.
Because it's a social game/pursuit...?
Honestly this is why he’s never going to reach his full potential, and I think he knows it and he’s ok with it. I absolutely would be too. He’s got the skill to be a Rory or Rahm but that takes a lot of sacrifice that he’s not willing to do. I still think he’s gonna crack into the major champion category though. Even if he doesn’t he’s won a handful of times while making tens of millions of dollars and keeping his big family happy and together. You can’t root against this guy.
I would be inclined to agree but in golf you can have both usually
Jack seemed to manage both.
mhm
He was one bad hole away from a possible US Open win last weekend. First time he’s been in major contention in a while. I think he’s doing ok.
Jack Nicklaus has 5 kids. Didn't seem to slow him down.
Eh also lived in the more “traditional wife” time period. I think big Tony will get one eventually. Should have just chipped instead of putting from the fairway and he had a chance.
This is what a loser would say /s
With his total loser-y $42m in lifetime winnings and wholesome family. Not sure how he lives with himself.
Being on pga Tour is a lifetime achievement and a dream for many. This guy is anything but a loser
Having kids is definitely a win. But it’s not winning at golf. He needs to separate the two. Leave the brood at home for majors!
I don’t think his kids caused his triple on 3rd day on 13, which cost him the major.
And that's why he'll never win but enjoy a wonderful happy life outside of golf
Seeing your wife and your kids doesn't give you golf world ranking points Tony.
Sounds like loser talk to me
And what have you won?
Winning is winning. Having a family is having a family. You can find joy in both however there is no correlation here, this is dumb. Scottie wins and has a family.
Translation: I do not know how to close but I am still rich in finance and spirit
Still managed to do all that from golf, something you’ll never do lol
Dafuq are you laughing at it's not like the tour is calling you in anytime soon
Nope they’re not, but I’m not an antisocial loser like you either. I’m (and others probably) are laughing at you if that’s not obvious buddy.
I'm crushed Elliot truly
Hope you get past whatever keeps you bitter my friend, best of luck to you
So cool you could be the bigger person after name-calling and bashing me for no reason, stay classy big El
eh you’re right i take it back, get fucked
