Short title - Shounen Jump or other manga magazine, work had to go through editor beforehand
Long title - Syosetsu or other web novel publishing site, anyone gets to publish their stuff
It's probably because authors who use the long format are trying to get as much attention as possible, so there's a good chance that the story it's just some generic rehash of something popular.
I'm not saying that's the case for all of them
Well, it’s not always true, it’s just generally feels that way.
There’s plenty of mid-level anime that’s got short name (short name being 3 words or less). Demon Slayer has nothing spectacular about it besides the artwork. Solo Leveling is kinda a generic power fantasy when you take a step back to analyze (the fights are really good tho). Aho-girl, Monster Girl Doctor, and Date A Live are all mid. Devilman Crybaby feels like it’s gore + porn (I had a hard time sitting thru this one). Goblin slayer is kinda interesting, but some characters can be very 1-dimensional at times. Absolute duo is also just fanservice with minimal story features. Not to mention Rent A Girlfriend is a dumpster fire.
This also applies to 2000's rock (generallizing bacause I forgot the genre) music:
It's Not A Fashion Statement, It's A Fucking Deathwish - My Chemical Romance.
Lying is The Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off - Panic! At The Disco
Tell That Mick He Just Made My List of Things to Do Today - Fall Out Boy
I Threw Glass at My Friend's Eyes and Now I'm on Probation - Destroy Boys.
These are a few I know so far. Anyone want to add?
I've Got A Dark Alley And A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth - Fall Out Boy
There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet - Panic! At The Disco (My Favorite, Lol)
Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us - My Chemical Romance
If You Wanted A Song Written About You All You Had To Do Was Ask - Mayday Parade
If You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is - Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows
I was Reincarnated as a lvl 1 Refrigerator to Slay the lvl 100 Demon Lord, but the lvl 100 Demon Lord is actually my little sister and now we’re Engaged and living in the Countryside in Peace with my lvl 99 cheat skill, and I need to Slay the lvl 1000 hero before the lvl 500 Demon Priestess awakens
"Long ago, in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting master of darkness..."
"Unleashed a unspeakable evil"
"But a FOOLISH Samurai warrior, wielding a magic sword, stepped forth to oppose me"
"Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time, and flung him into the future where my evil is law!"
"Now the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is AKU!!!"
WA-CHA
Idk why but for some reason it feels like the shorter a title is, the better the anime/manga is.

So that's why people are still fond of K-On! to this day!
If they are not putting the effort in a good name, they're not putting the effort on a good story
Anime titles in 2030 will just be the fucking script.
Title drops and recap episodes will be one in the same
the title will be a link to the light novel

If the title is longer than 6 words or unless it's Snafu (My teen rom-com), my eyes glaze over.
More like average LN adaptation for anime
Would read/watch.
In this day and age, this title is considered short.

Ngl I'd read it that if the writing is good
Imagine having to manually type that out everytime in rule34
KiHeDeLo season 2 when?
KiHeDeLo season 2 when?
I had a stroke reading that title
the tiny sentence is "why the fuck are you still reading this" if anyone wonders
