I saw the Duo or Dont'o with Smosh when it came out because I'm a huge Smosh fan, but then I never saw another episode again until last year, when I became a bona-fide Mythical Beast. The first episode I saw this time was "Can We Follow Instructions in Portuguese?" And I was sold.
I have no idea which episode we watched first but it was shortly after the first time I ever saw them, or even heard of them, when they were guests in the Slow Mo Guys Champagne Saber video.
I recall commercial kings and all their music videos as being my start but I’m not exactly sure the specific video. I’ve seen pretty much everything they’ve ever put out since the beginning.
ive been a VERY casual fan since 2016 but the video that started my hyperfixation on them was the colonoscopy !! so i consider myself a new mythical beast.
since the brolonoscopy i think ive binged watched 70% of their videos, podcasts, im a 3rd degree member etc. phew talk about obsessed! i love being unemployed.
My first was their 500th episode where they ate 500 beans and cheese balls, and then threw 500 bouncy balls down the stairs. Been a mythical beast since 2014
Been watching GMM from day one, because of the show before. I missed the first chia Lincoln episode, but I was watching it by the second, maybe 3rd episode. I had seen their other videos before, and really liked their stuff. I can’t remember my exact first, non, GMM video though. I do know it was around 2008. I feel like it was corn hole, because I had recently moved to Indiana at that time, and I kept seeing neighbors playing “some sort of bean bag game”, which my boyfriend informed me was “corn hole”. That somehow led me to stumble upon that video.
I also like to watch GMM in the morning, with coffee or tea. Always been a nice way to start the day.
I’m pretty sure it was the Ghost Pepper challenge, was a a dumb YouTube challenge kick one night and theirs popped up. Been following off and on since 2014 ;)
Will it deep fry! I remember the thumbnail of Rhett in the deep fried sunglasses kept coming up in my recommended videos but I was avoiding it cause it looked dumb lol once I finally watched it, I realized how funny they were and watched since!
I avoided them for years because of the thumbnails honestly, but during the beginning of quarantine the one where they guess the celebrity cry was suggested to me so I gave it a chance. Their reaction to Nicolas Cage sold me.
S1 E39 Best Chip Ever from March 2, 2012
Found it in late 2013, meant more to my mental health than I even realized at the time. I binged every episode over a few days, basically non stop. Easily the healthiest depressive episode I've ever had.
First official episode was when my brother was watching the one where they showed a bunch of odd uses for Coke. Then later the one I clicked on and watched that got me hooked was the April Fools episode where they were silent for 15min. Ever since then I’ve been a daily watcher.
I clearly remember.
Where in the world with dominoes pizza. I was like where do they get all that weird pizza from. I was sure they were really from dominos. I didn't know about Josh or any of that.
The Game of Thrones food episode. I think I had seen clips before, but wasn't won over until I saw that.
It was actually Jordan's "Stab you in the baby" line that got me. I'm not a fan of CCR at all, but he was great in this character
The first one I watched was when the coined the term "it's boggsed!" I believe it was the first episode where they tried candy from the past to see if it should come back. The bogs episode may have been the 2nd episode of those though now that I think back. I thought it was hilarious and started watching more.of their stuff and have been hooked since, that was 6 or 7 years ago.
It’s been too long, I really can’t remember! It was before Will It Taco, I know that. It was probably an episode from season 2, whenever they still had the green walls in the background!
Edit: I’ve been going through their videos chronologically and found I started watching before the Mythical Show, which came out 11 years ago. I definitely recognize titles of videos from before then, so I’d safely say it was season 2 or 3 I started watching.
I think I watched a few episodes when they first started because season 1 was so nostalgic to me for some reason when I watched it few years back. But the first episode that got me to become a daily watcher was when they tried all of Buffalo Wild Wings flavors.
I just pop it on first thing in the morning while I’m brushing my teeth. Good way to start the day.
It's kinda nice. But very weird, they just go on and live their lives meanwhile they're my coffee buddies/morning get right entertainment, or rather, internettainment as Link has said haha.
Must be strange to be an Internet/celebrity
Saw them on jimmy Fallon doing "Will it Hot Dog" back in 2017 and I was hooked, looked them up the next day (got caught up) and have been watching every day since.
Their “Do you have OCD?” from like 10 years ago, back when their song came out. I was genuinely interested if I did and then fell down a GMM rabbit hole. Been watching ever since
My fiance and I started watching GMM in the begining of quarantine in 2020, but the first episode we watched then was a few years old - where they had to guess if the vintage recipe was real or fake.
Also, one of the first episodes we watched was the fanfic one, which had us rolling on the floor. We watched every single episode ever since 🙂
I think putting things through a britta filter. I remember thinking “these guys in lab coats are kinda funny” and then two years later I rediscovered them
I think my sister showed me the texting video where they were texting with their eyes closed first! I loved it and saw Will It Taco, and then I was hooked :) I don’t watch almost any food videos now by them, but when they do a game or challenge, I still love watching
pretty sure it was the episode where they had edible playdoh made out of different foods, i used to rewatch that episode all the time it was my favorite
It was the Ghost pepper challenge for me. But I found out about them through the Epic Rap Battle of History, TMNT vs Renaissance, then binged a lot of their R&L videos before coming across GMM
I’d seen bits and pieces for years but the first time I sat down to watch one was the Goldfish taste test - I wanted to see how salt and vinegar did lol
The first video I saw was “20 Worst Tattoos Ever,” which YouTube says was 12 years ago. It’s GMM season 1. They were at True Blue Tattoo in Austin, and I now live in Austin. Last year, I was researching tattoo shops and realized that I live shockingly close to where Rhett and Link got their butt tattoos. A fun little coincidence.
I honestly think it was Rub Some Bacon On It. Not even an episode. If it was an episode, it was early AF. I remember when I Am A Thoughtful Guy came out. Weird
My first one was the Best TV Theme Song episode from season one. I didn’t quite know what to make of it then my next recommended video was the first episode they did from VidCon where they talked about the dynamics of sharing hotel rooms and I couldn’t stop laughing. I immediately subscribed and the rest is history.
Mine was Escaping A Straight Jacket, or whatever it was called. Where they pranked Link and made Rhett’s easier to get out of.
I was in my bedroom of my college apartment 11 years ago!
One of their t shirt episodes I think? I went to Harnett Central High School, and towards the end of the year, my science teacher just played some videos of theirs. I could be misremembering, but I think he said that he taught them as well.
Idr the first video i watched. I had been watching a vlogmas series and they mentioned every single day watching GMM and i was like oh cool what’s that? So i looked it up and been here ever since.
I'm an old viewer. Came across their first episode back in the first season (can't remember when in the first season they were at at that point) been a watcher since :D.
I don't remember which episode it was, but I know I started watching in seventh grade. I've been watching daily since I was thirteen! I put it on while I get dressed/do my hair and makeup/make my lunch before work. Then at work I've been working on watching every episode since the start lol
My first was Will it Jello, which a friend sent me. I have been a watcher ever since. I usually watch it while I'm eating lunch that day if that video they posted peaks my interest
My sister first told me about GMM and showed me Will It Ice Cream Sandwich? I fell in love when Link says, "Sidenote: we used cabbage instead of lettuce. 🤓"
I have no idea, but I feel like I loved them right away. I just discovered YouTube, in general, during the Pandemic. Now it's almost all I watch, and GMM/Mythical Kitchen are major staples.
I have no idea what launched me into gmm,but I can say it was a will it episode.
Idk man I think I just saw a thumbnail, clicked on it and blacked out suddenly finding myself having watched like 20 episodes and then next thing I knew I've been watching them for over 2 years and I'm subscribed to almost all the channels.
It was the episode about the Tupac hologram concert. I was looking for the video of the hologram and stumbled on their video instead. And I’ve been watching daily ever since.
I remember watching GMM when they were averaging around 35k views per episode and hoping they could keep it going because I was enjoying it!
I knew them from [Fast Food Folk Song](https://youtu.be/-uwY3sjqYX0?si=18VGn4rjTLxyUeKO) and the [American Idol Song](https://youtu.be/jHJzysAWSq4?si=n_FfkcQy23feQS5U) they did before GMM!
All rising! \o/
No idea what my first actual episode was, but the oldest I distinctly remember was an episode where they discussed commonly mispronounced words, because I remember bringing up “forte” in my history class the next day. This would’ve been 2011/2012 range
It was an episode to see if they could tell which product was gluten free. My husband had been recently diagnosed with celiac, and I had been watching a bunch of YouTube videos about gf food - and the algorithm brought me GMM.
My first video was with 5 Secong of summer because I'm a big 5sos fan. But I'm sure when I watched it, it wasn't new.
But I didn't start watching them regularly, then I watched We tried every Milka flavor with my sister and then it started! (Very on brand for European, lol)
Not a gmm video but first one for me was the Rhett and link road trip songs. After watching that I discovered good morning chia Lincoln and then gmm started not long after. The two most memorable videos from that time for me were Rhett’s Target Fail, and Worst Prank Call Ever.
my first episode was so random. it was christmas break, i had gotten a laptop that used to be my grams, and i booted up YouTube to watch some Dan and Phil, when i saw “the best pencil ever made”
The first episode I watched I think was probably one of the Good Mythical Summer episodes when they had the Try Guys filling in for them. After that I ended up going into the GMM catalog watching more and more.
I watch most mornings as I'm getting ready for work.
When they had Simone Giertz on a few years back. Kinda got hooked and stuck around.
I usually watch as soon as they upload in the morning, getting ready for work and whatnot, but have to wait until later in the day to watch the More.
Their first Illusions episode about 11 years ago. Was doing some online research about Illusions. Thought they were very educational 😅🤣 Decided to see what else they could teach me.
i don’t remember the first episode i watched but i remember the guy who showed me. we don’t talk anymore as we just distanced as we grew up. the first time i watched gmm i was 9 years old. i’ve watched them ever since everyday without fail, even on the weekends or their breaks id go back and watch old episodes… i’m turning 21 years old this year. thank you old friend. thank you gmm for being the only consistent in my life that never fails to make me smile.
Honestly?? I think my first was Will It Taco
An oldie but a goodie!
Mine too!
Me too!
[удалено]
Same, a spicy food challenge rabbit hole led me to that episode a few years ago.
This is the one I saw for the first time as well
This is one of the videos I use to introduce people to GMM lol
Yup, me too.
Don’t remember what the first GMM episode I watched was (probably will it taco), but I do remember when 2 guys 600 pillows came out…
I saw the Duo or Dont'o with Smosh when it came out because I'm a huge Smosh fan, but then I never saw another episode again until last year, when I became a bona-fide Mythical Beast. The first episode I saw this time was "Can We Follow Instructions in Portuguese?" And I was sold.
Lol I got into Smosh when R&L announced that they bought it and guested on tntl. At this point I’m more of a smosh fan than GMM fan!
I think it was the spicy candy showdown
I have no idea which episode we watched first but it was shortly after the first time I ever saw them, or even heard of them, when they were guests in the Slow Mo Guys Champagne Saber video.
I recall commercial kings and all their music videos as being my start but I’m not exactly sure the specific video. I’ve seen pretty much everything they’ve ever put out since the beginning.

I skipped that one! Not my 🍵 but cute they uh, do so much together lol
My first was their 500th episode where they ate 500 beans and cheese balls, and then threw 500 bouncy balls down the stairs. Been a mythical beast since 2014
the playdoh one!
Same!

I’m pretty sure it was the Ghost Pepper challenge, was a a dumb YouTube challenge kick one night and theirs popped up. Been following off and on since 2014 ;)
Yes that was a good one. Definitely dumb though-good dumb. I think we've been following since the same time. Time flies huh?
Famous last words #1
I wish they'd make another one in that series, they're great lmao. "Why WOULDN'T you be able to mix ammonia and bleach??"
either the old eggs and ham MRE video or them reviewing worlds worst tattoos 🤣
Mine was the one with Never Wet when they poured whine on their pants.
WOAAAAHHH!!! 🤯 -Rhet&Link using neverwet
Weird ways to open a bottle! I remember it like it was yesterday
Also couldn’t tell you the exact episode but some time during S4 or 3 I’m pretty sure, music to match your mood comes to mind
Rhett and Link Channel great American Road Trip still watch it now and then
"What am I swimming in" When Rhett was in a pool with Chase.
One of the ranking board episodes, either most addictive foods or most hated foods, I can’t remember which.
Will it taco I believe
Will it deep fry! I remember the thumbnail of Rhett in the deep fried sunglasses kept coming up in my recommended videos but I was avoiding it cause it looked dumb lol once I finally watched it, I realized how funny they were and watched since!
Name that juice.
I avoided them for years because of the thumbnails honestly, but during the beginning of quarantine the one where they guess the celebrity cry was suggested to me so I gave it a chance. Their reaction to Nicolas Cage sold me.

I feel that
My first was the Ghost Pepper challenge, October of 2013. I have no idea why it popped up in my suggestions on YouTube, but I sure am glad it did 😊
Me too
It was the “strangest candy on earth” video from ab 10 years ago! Still go back and watch it from time to time. Still so happy that I found them
First official episode was when my brother was watching the one where they showed a bunch of odd uses for Coke. Then later the one I clicked on and watched that got me hooked was the April Fools episode where they were silent for 15min. Ever since then I’ve been a daily watcher.
I think best type of pizza about 2-3 years ago
I clearly remember. Where in the world with dominoes pizza. I was like where do they get all that weird pizza from. I was sure they were really from dominos. I didn't know about Josh or any of that.
The Game of Thrones food episode. I think I had seen clips before, but wasn't won over until I saw that. It was actually Jordan's "Stab you in the baby" line that got me. I'm not a fan of CCR at all, but he was great in this character
I don't know the episode. We started watching after they were guests on the podcast Never Not Funny.
The first one I watched was when the coined the term "it's boggsed!" I believe it was the first episode where they tried candy from the past to see if it should come back. The bogs episode may have been the 2nd episode of those though now that I think back. Opening soda bottles with everything except a bottle operner.
I got to see that one. Wonder if they tried the impossible lighter trick? Or just smashed it haha
A lot of the time, I'm still awake at 3AM and watch before bed.
Mine really was the perfect one to start on, Will it Taco is the first one I remember seeing and I was hooked
Nasty food jenga
Sounds familiar. I'm glad they're not eating nasty food anymore- like relying on that- but I'm *thrilled* we have some videos of it!
9 fictional pets that should be real! I think season 4 ?
Bug War. 15 year old me was stunned at seeing Link eat a scorpion.
It’s been too long, I really can’t remember! It was before Will It Taco, I know that. It was probably an episode from season 2, whenever they still had the green walls in the background! I’ve been watching since 2008, been here for all the shoe stuff, chia Lincoln, and it’s been a wonderful ride.

I started with Good Morning Chia Lincoln. I mean I was watching Rhett & Link stuff before that too (Burgazebo/Megatator anyone?)
No idea what my first actual episode was, but the oldest I distinctly remember was an episode where they discussed commonly mispronounced words, because I remember bringing up “forte” in my history class the next day. This would’ve been 2011/2012 range
