Back when I lived on the East Coast, this used be the most convenient place to organize my happy hours for office and grab a drink with my coworkers on a monthly basis.
BJ is a decent chain restaurant. It's on par or slightly better than all of the chain, but far from anything to rave about.
What I do appreciate about it, is that it has a huge food menu and they brew a good variety of beers and carries other liquors and beers too. You have options and are bound to find something you like there.
Jeremiah Red was a personal favorite of the beers they brew.
I mean, nothing really sets it apart. It’s a good place and they have some tasty food. But it’s pretty much a typical bar with a variety of food and drink options. They do have pazookies which are cookies baked in a cast iron skillet. Those are pretty amazing. Otherwise, it’s just a good place to hang out and watch some sports/have a drink.
It is a chain (a handful in DFW where I lived before GR). Food is solid, didn’t blow me away but went back several times. Pazookie is killer. They make their own beer which is good!
The real nice thing about BJ’s is the menu is huge, you can take anyone there and they should have something to order.
The beer is contract brewed and shipped to the stores. They don't brew on-site and the tanks are decoration.
Edit: Trying to think of a way to reword that so I sound like less of a prick, but I can't...so I guess I am a prick? Hmmm... fuel for my therapist.
Not bad, a good sports bar but not crazy loud when I’ve been before in other places. Decent food, reasonable prices, good place to go to with family or a group of friends, kid friendly. Worth a trip to see if you like it for sure.
If you like red ale, theirs is really freaking good and it’s really hard to find red ale these days.
I highly recommend their fried chicken sandwiches. They are usually really good.
The pizza is also really good.
The custom sodas are super delicious. They make a cherry soda and it’s so good, but so are the other flavors.
Pazookies are over priced bc it’s their thing. We still always split one.
FYI they will be selling a Pazookie membership on Oct 3. It’s $4.99 a mo and allows one free Pazookie per day, no other purchase required. For those of you who want to see how fast you can pack on the pounds for winter, this is a deal for you.
You don't need a ticket, you just go in like it's a normal restaurant. The soft open means the trainers are going to be showing the actual employees how to do there job. The actual Grand opening is Oct. 2.
lmao needing a ticket to get into BJ's. Been to a few CA locations, you're not missing out on anything fancy.
You don’t need something “fancy” to simply enjoy a restaurant
Bro its Applebees but with signature beers

Gonna hit up Applebee's afterwards? Trash chain food.
I don't. I am curious. Anything that says it apart from any other bar or is it just shiny and new?
There was one in Lansing. It ate like a slightly higher shelf Applebee's

Not quite gated, but definitely an HOA
Mid quality chain targeting midwestern sports bar crowd. Nothing really impressive, especially in a town of a multitude of other beer options.

Sounds good. I might have to check it out eventually.
For sure. Not a place you need to rush to, but worth checking out.

They own the brewery where it is made. So it is theirs, it just is not brewed on-site
Hello fellow DFW-er! Agreed, the pazookie is the best part.
I thinks it’s just another chain sports bar. Like yard house

You also get a free pazookie if you sign up for their rewards program. Not gonna lie, those pazookies look damn near delectable.
Omg I would have loved to go. I’m from CA and this is my daughter’s favorite restaurant lol
I think I got a BJ’s ticket before I got married, but it expired once we tied the knot. Sorry you just teed it up I couldn’t resist 🤷♂️

It was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Arizona. I'm glad to see it expand here!
That space would be better as a parking lot.
Pizza sucks but other food is DAHM good
