All of these kind of tests, and they get harder, are all about conserving your speed and using the full limits of the track.
Generally don’t slam on the brakes fully and lift the accelerator fully and then swap those, brake as little as needed to scrub just enough speed to get round the corner or series of corners and don’t just slam on the power but apply it just enough so that you don’t go straight off the track.
Doesn’t matter what test those will get you most of the way there!
If you’re not running off wide you’re not trying to go fast enough and will never get golds. Go as far out wide as you can without resetting it and cut the inside of the corners as much as you can without also resetting it.
There’s more to do and many different racing lines but as a general rule that’s what your after.
GT tests are a great teacher of how to drive and the changes of cars and number of corners and sections of tracks etc are all brilliant and always read all the advice if you’re new.
1-You need to reduce your braking in the second corner
2-while turning dont put max throttle, it'll reduce your speed
3-while steering, make sure the the throttle is low as your turning more, and if your turning a bit, increase the throttle, and do so respectively
It gives your Right thumb something to do. Right Thumb to Square (Gear Up) Right Thumb to X (gear down) being able to gear down fast and engine breaking going into corners is nice, early shifts for gas savings, controlling your gears to minimize tire spin and Maximize traction will help save tires. I learned how use a manual transmission asap when I started GT Sport.

For me personally it was not hard at all. I use L1/R1 to up/down shift, but use whatever is comfortable for you. It is definitely more immersive and engaging rather than just accelerating and breaking.
Turn 2 break just a little less. If you are breaking then just slamming the gas it’s not as efficient as just carrying the speed with less breaking

Aye I was doing this today, now I’m at super 4 with all gold previously, am tryna get the platinum

Stability control applies the brakes to prevent oversteer. It's slowing you down. Turn it off.
Manual transmission
Manual generally is faster if you have to shift a lot. In this case, it wouldn't have done the difference.

I echo this, I’ve just learnt to use MT and I’ve got faster and it’s more fun as there is more to think about!
Depends on the person. Ain't no witchcraft but if you just can't deal with it, you're going to have a harder time than others.
Itll be difficult at first for sure but it's a lot more fun in manual. It's faster too

The PS1 to PS3 layouts were more natural for shifting than the PS4 layout.
