Wrong. This is not true. Max is 100. You get a 98 max if you don't have someone on site with food safe.
It used to be possible to get a 102. It's not possible anymore.
You used to get 3 points added to your score back in the day for having staff Serv-Safe certified. You would see scores over 100 (mostly in grocery stores). They took that bonus away so I don’t know how the heck you get a 100. I’ve seen some 99.5 scores but not that.
We got a 99.5 while we employed the inspection person's daughter and they came in for lunch once a week.
That was why we couldn't keep our "store and pours" in the ice, because "it was against health code" even though they were in containers that were specifically designed to keep the store and pours or of the ice.

If you want a tl;dr they have always had high scores. Notes 1) Need new gaskets (they've been ordered but are on back order 2) There is no continuous pressure backflow prevention devices. Parts were ordered 3) Tiles need replacing at mop sink so its easier to clean.
The first two are repeats so they definitely could lose points but probably didn't as they were being addressed. If this is all they found, and the owner is taking it seriously and fixing it, they deserve the 100.
Just a little south of the Palladium in High Point. Absolutely the best Mediterranean food around here. It’s always slammed but somehow never a huge wait. Highly recommend.
I hope you do! I’ve made it a point to go to almost every Mediterranean style restaurant around here. A close tie to this one would be Jerusalem market downtown, sadly it’s a little pricey nowadays. In my opinion, the most bland one around is Mythos. Their lack of salt in the food is downright repulsive.
i worked at the Harris Teeter starbucks on guilford college. idk how, but we somehow got a sanitation score of 100. i’m pretty sure the people just kinda looked around and said “yeah good enough”
100’s happen. Usually depends on the health inspector. I’ve worked at places where the inspector would never give a 100 because he always believed a place had room for improvement, the highest he would give was a 98.5.
La Cocina outside of Mountain City, Tennessee, an Italian fine dining establishment has a letter posted on their website from the health inspectors department congratulating them on their 20th 100 rating in a row. Not kidding, one of the best places I've ever eaten. Check out the letter, go eat there. It's perfect. Just stunning.
It's tough to get, though. I worked as a manager at HT in the 90s and if you had a garbage can lid off in the deli, whether there was garbage or not you'd lose an automatic 2 pts
I remember being told when I worked in restauranta that you actually start with a score higher than 100 and would always get knocked down by a few minor things.
I’ve been a few times and had the exact opposite experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food is also really good, though I don’t enjoy their side salad.
McDonalds on Guilford College has a 100 score too.

Not true anymore. Used to get the 2 point bonus you're talking about but that ended a while ago. Place I worked had a 102 all the time.
When did that end?
At least 5 years ago, it was well before covid (and when I was still in the restaurant industry)

The food is good but calling themselves “Mediterranean” is a stretch, and good lord the food is expensive. $22 for a gyro platter and fountain drink.

IMO their best side dish is the middle eastern corn salad, and I’m not usually a big corn fan.
