>Hey. A seven string Jackson guitar. Replaced the bridge pickup with a different Duncan.
>I am selling because I need money.
>Sounds great
>$100
Lol how tf are they not gonna mention the paint job?
Forget the terrible paint job, I wouldn't buy this because the guy has treated it like crap.
Hmmmm, where should I take a photo of my guitar to show it off, I know, on a concrete road.
I mean I have spray painted quite a few at this point. I think I did my 4th one a couple months ago.
The first one was rough but that's because I was learning. It was still better than this though.
This last one legitimately looks like a factory finish. The reflection is more mirror-like than about half of my other guitars. Spray paint isn't bad, it's HOW you spray paint.
I had a friend that did the same thing to his SG copy, using some spray paint that was designed to create globs of paint. He proudly showed it to me and I had to pretend to be impressed. I remember thinking, "That's going to look like shit after you try to play it" but I kept my mouth shut.
I wound up not seeing much of him after that due to breaking up with my girlfriend at the time (she got custody of him LOL), so I never got to see the fallout. I still wonder how it ended up looking after being played.
When I was a kid (maybe 10?).. at my older brother’s urging, I asked for a Les Paul flame top for Christmas. I was a big Zeppelin fan already so I knew what I was asking for and didn’t expect to get something that expensive.
I got a $99 black Cort with a bolt-on neck that played awful. I was super disappointed (not proud of that now).. and I ended up trashing it. Really wish I had that now.. it had a proper lawsuit headstock and appeared to have a mahogany neck.. probably just needed a proper setup and maybe some simple fretwork.. but that was beyond the capabilities of a pre-internet kid.
I’m feeling the same here. I feel like this is probably less of an artistic statement and more like frustration over a crappy cheap guitar.
Yeah if this was $20-40 bucks I'd snap it up. CitriStrip would eat that spray paint almost instantly (keep it away from plastic) but wouldn't be able to touch the poly. Someone could have this completely cleaned up for like $25 bucks and 15min.
$150 is delusional though even without the custom paint.
I reckon it was a kid who.thought spray painting it silver would make it cooler and had no idea you had to actually plan that shit out in advance.
Source: I did exactly this to my BMX as an 11 year old 👀
I've never seen a guitar I've actually wanted to smash on stage before. Normally I feel like it's a waste of a guitar, but this thing needs to be put out of its misery.
Well, for $209 you can get it new from Musician Friend / [ebay](https://www.ebay.com/itm/134322249396?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=GGOHKbcGTmC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=huXL1amcTqu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
No need to invest time and/or money in restoring it.
Trying to hide a stolen guitar?
Or its absolutely trashed under that paint
I don’t think this helped
I would agree, but we didn't see it before though
That was my first thought

Who doesn't know what model pickup they put in?
I can fix her.
Get therapy.
It's an easily fixed problem...with gasoline and a match.
Just because it's for sale doesn't mean they'll sell it successfully. That's a crime against guitars.

Don’t
I’ll trade a broken squire Strat, a chrome hubcap, and a paper bag full of fresh gold spray paint for it
You ain't opened that bag have you?
Nah it’s sealed with one of those twisty wire ties
Why’s your face gold?
My what? …. Uhh …. No reason
Dude, you would be getting robbed.

Guitar gets a 10 grit sanding, as a treat.
To be fair it looks like it needs it lol
Half a grit sanding
Soooo... the pavement its laying on?
Tell me about it. Never ceases to amaze me what people will lay their guitar on for a photo and then expect people to buy it.
Yes, but it's relic'ed. . .
just how brain dead does someone have to be to spray paint a musical instrument??? wtf??? looks ridiculous, is rediculous
Drugs
When you want the aerosol but might as well use the paint too.
And you steal guitars to fund your supply

You haven't seen the video of the guy washing his guitar. Check the comments on that one. "Oh, it's perfectly OK to wash a guitar." Said no one ever.
"No lowballing. I know what I got."

It was one time, but that time has passed haha

Good friend. I probably would've told him it looked like he tried to use it as a butt plug but I can understand why you went the nice route

It’s great for silver sun pickups covers
Lazy guy - silver some pickups
I don’t have time to invest in such repair; I would use that time to play a new guitar.

Lol just put it down on all this rubble to take a picture of both sides. What the fuck even.
This the most metal thing you can do.
There is a special place in Hell for this person!
look at where the fret wear is lol
lol just lays it on the ground with rocks and dirt…😂
Careful trying to buy something like that!! Could be a trap! Might hit you in the head with it and steal your coins
Drugs are a hell of a drug
Replace the neck and maybe the bridge and you got potential for a cool guitar
This guitar is like $200 brand new
Never mind. Make it a cool wall hanger or sm then 😂
That's cool. How much? If you can get the paint off without much hassle that could be a bargain.
$150. It's like a $200 guitar brand new
Ah. Then they're definitely smoking crack... Or huffing paint.

Offer them $50. I get the feeling they probably need it and will accept quickly and enthusiastically
Rare silver ibaneze. Pick up only. Price firm
I hope they’re selling it cheap because I got mine brand new for 150, shipped.
I reckon it was a kid who.thought spray painting it silver would make it cooler and had no idea you had to actually plan that shit out in advance. Source: I did exactly this to my BMX as an 11 year old 👀
$10
offer 30 and call it a day.
It's so awfully digusting that it has it's charme, laying it on a wet fucking beach like that lol
That's a Craigslist rebuild, but they lost the receipts....
Would ya just look at it…
7-string? Steve Vai's cleaning out his music room.
They’ve been playing that a pentatonic
Meth…it’s a hell of a drug.
Stolen, classic bike move
It’s stolen I’m sure
OUCH!!! Would take it apart and see if could strip off the paint. Tough project but may end up worth the effort.
I'd grab it for $25 or less..
Is he's asking $100, he'll take $50
No lowballers
Must have been really trippin or just a complete tool to do that!
Painful.
I've never seen a guitar I've actually wanted to smash on stage before. Normally I feel like it's a waste of a guitar, but this thing needs to be put out of its misery.
Yeah but 7 string!
Is there paint on the strings lol?
It's the new Krylon Coated strings
😂🤣
💀💀💀
That\`s purty. Purty bad. Could keep you up at night if kept in your house.
It came from space. A bad place in space.
Drugs are a hell of a thing
