Goddamn Scheels is on fire with some deals today. Just ordered 1k of 223 from them. I need to save money but gundeals is the bane of my bank account’s existence.
Can't stress the affordability part enough, I have a couple X300s, while they are built like tanks, factory switches are better on the streamlight and light performance is better IMO. I am not saying the streamlight will fall apart, I consider them duty rated lights, it's just that if the streamlight was 100% g2g, the x300 is probably 120% in terms of construction (overbuilt). I've heard some people breaking the doors on the TLR 1s but most likely operator error.
Yes l, this exactly. I plunked for an x300 turbo and I 100% agree with your assessment. I love the light but damn, do I hate the switches. Someone has to make switches that work like the tlr1s....

Every pistol light will. I lost a tlr1 in the back of my truck bed for at least a year. It was banging around with all sorts of construction materials and it was rusted shut when I found it. I scrubbed off the rust with some vinegar and soaked the batter compartment. Put batteries in and it's working 100%. I would trust it enough to put it on a gun my life depends on but I would trust any light in that same scenario.

Hornady American Gun 140 gr 6.5 Creedmoor is not bad considering free shipping. I paid $59 plus flat rate shipping of $10 at GunMagWarehouse in mid Oct 2023 for the same ammo. I did order other ammo at the time so cost then and now at Scheels is about the same for the ammo.
True! I got my last one from Amazon, they're like 146 plus tax and I get it the next day where I live so that's pretty fast shipping. I've been holding off and waiting for sale. This saves about 30 bucks

This is the standard for a full sized pistol light that is ***affordable*** and from a good company. It’s the Toyota Camry of pistol lights.

The door will also be mostly protected when it's mounted to a gun, for what it's worth

It boils down to the simple, you get what you pay for idea. Streamlight, surefire get great reviews across the board
