ParalyticChroniton

I bought a high condition post-WWII FN1922. It is a .32acp issued to the 1946 Berlin Police, American Sector, and has a large 'A' (American Sector) below the 12-point chrysanthemum stamp of the Berlin police. This 'mum' marking is often incorrectly presumed to be pre-war Japanese. It is not.

Caedus_Vao

Well, that is interesting. Any idea how many were handed out? Did the Americans issue a whole slew of sidearms in their sector, or standardize on a few? Occupation-issue weapons are fascinating to me. I've got a few Austrian Gendarmerie-marked SMLE's, obviously you want your locals using stuff you control the supply of.

ParalyticChroniton

I know of no published record of the number of pistols issued in the American sector. No pistols marked for other sectors (French or Russian) have been found. I am unaware of any other .32 issued to immediate post-war police in Occupied Berlin. The 3 most common .32 sidearms became unavailable at the end of the war: * Sauer Modell 38's (out of business and located in Russian zone), * Walther PP/PPK's (out of business until re-start in 1953-54 across the river in France), * Mauser HSc's (out of business, factory stripped for French reparations and demolished). The French scarfed up every .32 available after the war; they added a big lanyard loop on the left side and often parkerized them and issued them to the French Police: Mauser HSc's; FN 1910's & 1922's; Sauer 38H's (but, oddly, I've never seen a post-war 'French Sauer 1930/Behörden, or even a picture of one), Walther PP's & PPK's - all of them were modified and used by French Police (with no caliber restrictions). Lugers, High Powers, and P38's - the common wartime 9mm's - were restricted in Germany by treaty obligations, leaving common .32's as the only choice for Berlin, and FN as the last large Allied manufacturer of that caliber.

Caedus_Vao

Fascinating. Thank you.

tablinum

I apologize-- ...I find myself running out of different ways to say "what an amazing moment of history frozen in an object; I appreciate you sharing these." I hope you'll take it as understood.

Caedus_Vao

Sheffield steel for Dad and my uncle. Wedding gifts for people not getting wed, what a wild world we live in. I hate to say this, but I am getting sick of spending money. Which is neat, because a friend just told me that there's a Charnwood 7.62 No. 4 Mk. 2 conversion with my name on it coming stateside soon.

kato_koch

Knives? I have lots of old Sheffield made tools, good stuff.

Caedus_Vao

Knives, indeed. Had to trawl the internet for some nice old pen knives in excellent shape. The new stuff just doesn't have the same draw.

tablinum

Classy move. Old trumps new in this case.

Caedus_Vao

Uncle got a bitchin' old fixed quill knife (with sheath/cover) made by Joseph Rodgers some time in the 1820's. It's got all the appropriate marks, great shape. Just won a George Wolstenholm 3-blade for Dad, full wooden scales, no bolsters.

Sparrowflop

Anyone break me out of a stunlock on pump shotguns? I intend to mixmaster grips, stocks, and just mess around with it. Unsure on if I want 12 or 20. One thing I want to try is the Mesa or Ergo adapter with a recoil buffer, so the crossbolt safety of the 870 is a small benefit otherwise moot. 590 - solid classic, not threaded for chokes, plastic trigger guard is less sexy but Iwon't be beating this. Same price as the 870 locally, $440 870 - modern Remarms version. Cheap, not the tactical (it's more, oddly). Worried about quality. Like the crossbolt safety. Does come threaded for chokes. $440 590s - mini shells are cool. But expensive. The opsol adapter is $20. And low recoil 12 gauge shell is probably better and cheaper. 590a1 - really cool. Not sure I'll get value from the heavy barrel or metal trigger group. 590 Shockwave - honestly I would sbs this for fun, otherwise it's the same as the 590, but small. I would probably get this one in 20, if at all.

kato_koch

For one unless you're a hunter I'll tell you to get a 12ga. [Hate](https://youtu.be/fKIwj1TQmFs?si=p-MbO_7qr1wb03Jd) on me all you want but I'll always prefer the 870. If I were getting a Mossberg I'd just get a Maverick 88 and go from there. The 590 is not nice enough to justify the price jump in my opinion. Shoot it from the hip and its basically a shockwave. I own both and am admittedly biased because the 870 was my first but I prefer the 870 stock design and how I can pull them apart and reassemble in seconds without tools. Might just be the well loved ones I own but the triggers on my 870s are pretty good too.

Sparrowflop

Actually, just figured out the shockwave does use some model specific parts, so wouldn't do what I really want. I was initially not considering an 870, but the modern reviews are fairly decent, and it's running the same cost as a 590. most of the stupid stuff I want to mess around with can be found on either model.

kato_koch

While the poor rep isn't entirely unfounded, I do think there's a lot of people who just want to ride the *rustington* train and talk shit online. Mossberg isn't a high end maker too, despite what the Internet wants to tell you.

Sparrowflop

I think it's becoming a 'meet in the middle' issue, where people are slowly tricking out that Mossberg quality isn't what it used to be, as Remington quality is coming up from the bottom. Neither are, probably, ever going to be 1970s quality anymore.

kato_koch

I've heard Remington was best before the DuPont acquisition, but I have a mid 90s Wingmaster and its about as good as they get. The checkering was machine cut but it was actually cut and not stamped. Has aged [very well](https://i.imgur.com/vitspsy.jpeg). I put about 3000 rounds through it last summer and you can't tell- it could outlive me even if I keep shooting it regularly.

Sparrowflop

Why are you running 3k rounds in a summer on a pump? Most people doing a lot of clay stuff seem to run semi-auto, or an over-under. Hopefully you're not single handedly destroying the entire population of north american waterfowl. I think I've settled on a Mossberg at this point. Nobody locally has an 870 with shorter barrel like I want for this project. There's one 'tactical express' which combines cheaper components than the regular 870 with a 3 round magazine for some ungodly reason, and while I _like_ it, I don't think I want to buy it, upgrade the mag to something reasonable, etc.

kato_koch

Mossberg makes sense for a tactical rig. You aren't the only person who is surprised I'm still shooting the 870, but I've had it for almost 20 years and I'm pretty good with it now. I'm creeping close to a 25/25 in trap. Wouldn't complain if I had a Citori or A400 for clays but I don't feel any burning need, and you can imagine how confident I am in the field hunting with it after clay season wraps up. Shot a deer with it in November, that was cool. Mine also has a 30" barrel so its not awful for clays too. I grew up in a pump action family. Dad has an Ithaca, my brother has a Mossberg. I'm the one who diverged into double guns and the concept of owning more than one.

Sparrowflop

I'm not surprised you're shooting it, I was just curious about the pure round count.

kato_koch

Trap season, hitting the range weekly, lots of clays because I love it and will always do another round.

Ornery_Secretary_850

Good enough for the USMC.

Ornery_Secretary_850

I'm the opposite. My first pump was a Mossberg and I'm so used to the thumb safety nothing else makes sense for me now.

BobbyWasabiMk2

Vang Comp 590A1

Sparrowflop

I wouldn't mind one, but the package is about 800 bucks on top of the gun itself. I looked them up last night. I think you can buy one direct for 1k or 1200, but still, that's quite a bit.

Remarkable_Aside1381

Hoping for a 24 hour approval for the bushwhacker I submitted, I got dumb shit planned for it. Also gonna try the super 42 and H3 buffer in the KAC to hopefully tame the ejection a bit more when it’s suppressed. I also grabbed a S&W Model 10-5, 1969-1970 production. So I now have: Model 1905 4th change Model 1905 3rd change knock-off M&P knock off Model 10 I feel like I need a proper M&P and a Model 10 knockoff to round out that specific subcollection

Karrtis

Are suppressor turn arounds really like that right now? Makes me envious of other states.

Remarkable_Aside1381

I got one in March in 23 hours. Another in 6 days

rocketboy2319

I went the Trust route so sitting at ~1 month on 2x from March. Decided to just buy a few more to go for a batch approval.

rocketboy2319

With the Polonium and Sparrow still in jail from March, and a Form 1 SBS from Sunday still pending, I decided to snag a OCL Titanium and Pol K to scratch more NFA itch and maybe snag a batch approval. I'm hosting our range swap meet tomorrow for maybe the 4th year now? Selling off some spare parts and pieces to fund the NFA binge. Missed the last one due to work but supposedly was a little bit of a let down. Might bring a benchrest project Savage Target I snagged for $100 from another swap meet in 2022 and see if I can flip it to recoup the cost. I prefer more dynamic shooting so the bench is usually where I am sighting-in or running Milsurp. Don't even know what caliber it's in; caliper check at the muzzle measured at .224 and a 223 chamber plunk/bolt close test worked fine but still not 100% certain and haven't had time to send it.

kato_koch

Winchester 37A Youth Model .410. It'll be a good one for when Kato 2.0 is ready to carry a real shotgun in the woods and for me to miss clays on the trap field. I was offered a look at an estate and nothing really caught my eye until I realized the little single shot wasn't a 20ga like I initially thought, and next thing you know I'm making a deal. So now I have a .410. Cool.

FuckingSeaWarrior

I realized last night I've got four projects in various stages of completion. The one that's been occupying a lot of my attention lately is building out a Flux MP17. I got two of the 21-round mags in recently, and my TLR VIR II is arriving tomorrow. Goal for this one is to build out a night vision-friendly "Better than a CCW" away-from-home gun. Next steps are more mags, a dot, mags, a threaded barrel with a can, a used P320, mags, and maybe a micro rig that'll go in a backpack. We'll see. The Mini Fix At Home is paused pending me finding a scope I like. I really like the grid- based reticle on a specific Primary Arms 4-16, but I'm also waiting to see if they drop it in anything other than an SLx. Plus once that's done the big expense of a can comes into play, and I need to research more into which one is going to give me the quietest performance with subs. Third project is Fudd Bait, the Norinco 1911 I'm upgrading over time. Extended slide release fits fine, next step is getting files to fit an extended beavertail safety and get the slide milled for a dot. And finally, the NODs-friendly AR build is just about done. Just need to assemble the lower, so I'll probably swing by the local freedom emporium to get a few bits and bobs.

>Alt text: SOLD Rare Remington 11-87 Shotgun With Greenleaf Camo, Sale Price $5430.00 Out of all the stupid crazy hammer prices I've seen on gunbroker, the bonkers money that some basic shotguns go for just because of some factory camo is the most insane to me. Anyway, brb I'm going to go cerakote a bunch of 11-87s in Greanleaf camo.

kato_koch

Wild!! Can you imagine how dumb you'd feel if you missed the first gobbler you take a crack at with that thing?

ENclip

Haha but that's implying they are going to actually use it. Probably will sit in a wooden gun display cabinet until the guy decides to sell it to some other nutjob for $6000.

Delta_Nemesis

Bought a desk pad, should be nice to hide the cheap wood desk top that has been slowly more and more scuffed over the years. Probably gonna be the last thing I buy for frivolous things for a while. Also, watched the Fallout show, and and I enjoyed it. Not perfect, but it gets the darkness and the quirky or odd aspects of the series pretty well, and as I expected Walton Goggins is phenomenal in the show. The other leads are solid as well.

Solar991

A couple of hundred small metric bolts for the Vz project. Which I'm pretty sure got misdelivered, considering that my mail box didn't have a package in it, but did have someone else's mail. Looks like the mailman dyslexia'd a number between me and a neighbor. So I need to wait for that to pan out, hopefully tomorrow. Also, my buddy [finally printed the space cowboy kit](https://imgur.com/MaiUL87) for my Wrangler. It still needs some clean up and post processing, but that should be here next week. I may end up spending the money to get it fancier printed like I had the Vz prototypes, but at that size it would cost a strong fraction of what the gun did. Add the optic, space cowboy, and the grips and you nearly equal the base value of the Wrangler.

Golemofsteel

I might have bought two VZ 61 parts kits just because you're making some pretty neat accessories. Figured I could keep one stock and make the other a modernized tiny subgun

BobbyWasabiMk2

After watching Roy Harrell's video on .40 Short & Wack out of a 10mm, I've been buggin to take my 10mm Ronin out and shoot .40 out of it. But I've been lazy about getting in range time. I have been getting the urge for another 1911 though lately, preferably 9mm. But I do have 150rds of .45acp that is just begging to golden rule me into a a 1911 chambered in the soul killing .45. u/Heekma's posts have just been egging that desire for a 1911 in me.

SakanaToDoubutsu

I feel like you'll see a mild resurgence in the 40 S&W if companies are explicitly advertising direct interchangeability between the 40 and the 10mm Auto.

Caedus_Vao

I would say so. And it's not a bad tack to take, on their part.

heekma

Do eeet, lol. For about 20 or so years I would only own 1911s in .45. After 2020 I switched to 9mm and I'm never going back to .45. I'm a bit biased toward Colt, but Springfield is making great 1911s in the same price range as well.

BobbyWasabiMk2

The SA Garrison is what’s had my eye for awhile. The Ronin is nice and all, but that two tone finish has me craving a blued 1911.

heekma

I owned a Garrison for a while, mostly I was curious about SA since I hadn't owned one in a few years. I was really impressed with it. Fit and finsh was great, every bit as good as any Colt I've bought in the last ten years or so. For $700 it's a steal in my opinion.

Karrtis

Oh 1911 sage, on a scale of brilliant to moronic, how dumb would buying one of the NOS 1911 kits off apex and a frame from stealth arms be to build my own 1911 be?

heekma

1911 Sage...that's a stretch, lol. I don't think it's a dumb idea, but I think it's probably going to be a frustrating experience, mostly because of the barrel fitting and the sear. Everything else can be fitted with some simple tools, but the sear requires a special jig and the barrel fitting is a lot more complicated than most assume. I would instead look for a good used Springfield, something basic like their military model, and do some work/upgrades on a fully functioning gun instead.

Karrtis

>Everything else can be fitted with some simple tools, but the sear requires a special jig and the barrel fitting is a lot more complicated than most assume. Yeah that's the part where I was assuming "this can't possibly be this simple or else more people would do it" >I would instead look for a good used Springfield, something basic like their military model, and do some work/upgrades on a fully functioning gun instead. I'll keep an eye out, thank you.

heekma

You bet!

PeteTodd

Another Atlas mag tube, 2 recoil springs, a 2 piece front grip screw kit and 2 "hopefully this fixes the kaboom" Sig P320 disconnectors. I also ordered a computer book that was published in 1984. My related work section is going to be insanely large. For the kids I got an A-Frame bracket to build a swing set off the playset I built last summer. I still need lumber and all the swing hardware but if the weather would cooperate I could get this finished in a weekend. We tried a new babysitter last night, mostly because she's cheap and the kids seem to like her. My wife asked me at dinner if I told her anything about how to handle the dog, I said "no, did you tell her anything about our rules besides getting in the pajamas?" She said no. We have a hard rule about no screen time after dinner but that was broken, so my oldest had another rough bedtime, while my youngest "had to" poop after lights out. We'll give her another shot but with more directions next time.

Lb3ntl3y

when dealing with new hires, be it coworkers, baby sitters, or anything else, make sure to explain the rules, expectations, and any nuanced items. makes everyone's life easier, especially when you are paying for it

_HottoDogu_

Apparently 3500 125gr projectiles weighs about 62lbs. I did not think about that when I ordered two cases of them. Felt my stoop shake as my poor postal worker dropped them off yesterday. I felt kinda bad that she didn't knock and ask for help despite me being home. That should be enough for the rest of the year though when combined with what I already have. Definitely need more titegroup and primers though. I'll probably pick up a Hundo in the coming weeks. Last night I managed to load a round with no primer seated that I only caught after seeing loose powder in my catch bin.

PeteTodd

Max orders are generally towards the limit of the "if it fits, it ships" of USPS. And I wouldn't necessarily feel bad, it's in their job description to be able to lift that amount.

_HottoDogu_

I'm shocked at how much weight BMB managed to fit in 2 flat rate box. 🤣 I was home and she's a nice lady, so I would have lent a hand had she asked.

PeteTodd

Most places will get 3500-3600 at 124/5gr. I'm more impressed when the bullets arrive still within the inner box/bag.

Ornery_Secretary_850

It's crazy how much filler they have to use in those flat rate boxes when shipping bullets.

BobbyWasabiMk2

We had one time where a shipment of gold came through. My boss asked for my help to put two bricks of gold onto a pallet, they were taken off to be weighed. I thought that was a weird request to for something as simple as that onstead of doing it himself. One fucking brick weighed around 65lbs, I was not expecting that at all. Not that it’s difficult, but it caught me off guard.

_HottoDogu_

When the object is no bigger than a basket ball, but you need to lift with your legs. Yeah, wasn't expecting that.

NorwegianSteam

Gold is dense as fuck, man.

Ornery_Secretary_850

My wife hates it when I order bullets. They can pack a surprising amount of weight in a small package. She always retrieves the mail because I'm fucking crippled. Those packages from American Reloading are the ones she really hates. As far as case gauges, I've been using the EGW models. They make a specific large ogive 9mm model that works for me because I size all my lead bullets to .357 and that chokes a standard gauge.

SwampFoxActual17

Was window shopping cheek riser for my M1a but a Bradly cheek rest/riser for 1/3 of the price new that popped up on one of the MeWe groups and I couldn’t resist. Also shopping for a simple watch but want a mechanical movement.

Golemofsteel

How simple? Seiko 5's are good automatic winding watches. I prefer orient, they're a little nicer and not too much cash, you can find them under 200 bucks or so. You can try to find an old Vostok if you want something whacky and a neat conversation piece.

SwampFoxActual17

Simple like a seiko 5, what’s the deal with Vostok?

Golemofsteel

They're old russian watches with Cyrillic writing. They arent particularly special, but they're neat and just about seiko 5 price, and theyre automatics too

SwampFoxActual17

Any suggestions on where to find one? I just it to work for everyday

Golemofsteel

Ebay will have a bunch, shipping might take a while though. Seiko 5's I just go to whatever shop is your favorite. Amazon usually has a bunch.

SwampFoxActual17

I found one I like, I’ll probably grab It. Thank you!

Donatter

Just bought a benelli lupo with walnut furniture, in 300Win mag, for 1979.07, sexy as fuck, accurate as hell, outstanding adjustability, good ergonomics and surprisingly little recoil considering it’s a magnum. (I honestly prefer/think it’s better than my tikkas) the warranty is also amazing as it has a 10 year mechanical warranty, and the B.E.S.T coating/system it has on the barrel/bolt, got a 20 year one.(which goddamn) Now I’m trying to decide if my next purchase is gunna be a sako 90 hunter in 7mmR/sako 85 in 7mmR(now that dealers in my area are finally getting them in) or save up to get a custom rigby highland stalker in 275

Lb3ntl3y

how does the bolt through on the benelli compare to the custom actions and tikkas?

Donatter

I’ve unfortunately never handled a custom bolt in person, but I’d assume the customs would be better? At least based off rigbys reputation/videos/and that it’s a mouser 98 action(which you just can’t beat in my opinion) But with mine, the benelli feels/looks/seems more durable than a tikka bolt(I have 2 T3 foresters, and one T3 varmit) it’s easier to take apart/put together again as you don’t need any tools to do so, it’s basically a big Lego piece. Far easier to clean/maintain thanks to benelli’s B.E.S.T coating, any dirt, mud, water, even small scratches I’ve wiped away with just a damp washcloth. Though naturally the tikka has a quicker/smoother bolt the vast majority of time. However, I much prefer the shape and weight of the lupo bolt handle over any tikka I’ve handled, tikka’s bolt handles has always felt a little “cheap” almost, like it’s a afterthought to the bolt/action/barrel/etc and bc of that, any tikka I’ve owned, one of the first things I’ve done is take it to a gunsmith to either replace it or heavily reshape it to a butter knife handle. While the lupo’s bolt handle has imo, a more rigid and comfortable position and travel, especially as it is a 60 degree bolt rotation compared to a tikka’s 70 to 90 degree bolt, which ofc means it’s a even heavier bolt lift, but I’ve always preferred that There are three things I dislike about the lupo 1)it’s safety, it has a 2 position thumb safety located just under the bolt, now the reason I dislike it is that the only way to engage it, is to have the rifle cocked, and once the safety’s on, the bolt can’t be manipulated(Ik is common, but I personally don’t like either) 2)the walnut doesn’t come in 7mmR, which is my favorite and preferred round(simple) 3) it has a plastic magazine, I’ve always liked metal better(the reason I’ll never buy a browning, I absolutely hate those mags, they’re ugly as hell)but the lupo’s magazine is both double stack and double feed, which is very nice (These are admittedly just nitpicks) anyway, I’d recommend you getting one in your hands, and play with it a bit before you buy it, after all, I’m just a dude on the internet.

kato_koch

Where are you located? The new Rigby guns are nice but you'd be spending a lot more just to have that name (have handled them IRL). Ps need pics of your Lupo and the walnut stock.

SakanaToDoubutsu

Interesting, I always assumed the Rigby Mausers were a good entry into a bespoke London rifle without going to one of the big three, you don't think they have enough refinement for their price point?

kato_koch

Not if you're buying one brand new. They can lean on their history and posh branding to stay relevant and jack prices up and they know it.

Donatter

Really? I was also looking at a parkwest arms sd-76 dark continent, but I’d love any recommendations you have of custom gun makers I’ll send you a message with some pics of it Oh, and Im in Louisiana

kato_koch

Parkwest is really good, they deliver on craftsmanship.

Ornery_Secretary_850

I sucumbed to the PSA morning email yesterday. Bought a SA XDM Elite Compact OSP. For $370 I couldn't pass it up. It will join my XD45, XDM 45 Tactical, XDM Elite Tactical 9mm, and my Hellcat Pro. I also have a XD45 Compact Tactical that is currently residing at my daughters.

socalnonsage

Finally getting into the 21st carry game with a P365 (in 10-day jail because fuck me harder, California) and a matching RomeoZero Elite to top it... All I need now is a good iwb holster and I'm set. Any recommendations? I don't mind kydex...

NorwegianSteam

I will always fanboy for Stealthgear. I have a couple of the regular sized iwb holsters for a couple different guns, and I can wear them all day without an issue. Sign up for their email and check their deals page, they always have some 25%-40% off deal running. [They're just tits](https://imgur.com/a/ZXLb2wA). ^(sticker sold separately)

Shadowex3

Bought a set of Howard Leight impact sport's. Unfortunately even with gel pads they just don't fit me well, the square shape goes past the bone behind my earlobe and leaves a gap at the corner. Guess I just need something with a different profile.

sephstorm

So i'm considering another purchase. I'd like a 308 for distance shooting. OFC I could use my M17S but shut up. I was considering a modern semi-auto like the SFAR, the M&P10, or recently the PSA 10 but there's no free lunches. The SFAR has issues, the M&P10 would possibly need some upgrades to be where I want it (though I recognize its perfectly capable on its own), the PSA i'm not a fan of the silver barrel. I recognize I could probably fix that on my own but yeah... So anyways I started thinking about a bolt action rifle. I hear they are more accurate anyway and I hear they offer more functionality in other ways. So what are some good options I should think about? I'm looking in the same price range so under 1k-1500 USD. I'd prefer something i'm not going to have to futz with I hear about bedding and other stuff like that, I dont think that is for me.

carsen56

Repost this in the new Monday thread since that’s where everyone is going to be hanging around.

Lb3ntl3y

had to order new order sunglasses cause my last pair got broken, decided to upgrade from a cheap $20 pair to 9 line cause oakleys, kore concepts, and others were bit more might be considered tacticool cause ansi and ballistic rated, but the ranges i go to are normally open during the day and it cuts down on how much i have to bring to a range day

PeteTodd

It's just easier to have Ansi rated sunglasses for me, like you said it's one less thing to worry about.

BobbyWasabiMk2

I gotta get a pair of prescription sunglasses. Driving in Utah is fucking brutal for me sometimes, our trucks have zero tint to the glass and the sun visors do fuck all because they're too short to actually get the coverage I want.

Lb3ntl3y

have you looked at sunvisor extenders to help with getting sorta proper coverage? i know good coverage with a visor and sunglasses on can make a great difference

BobbyWasabiMk2

I'm not spending money to fix a problem with a work truck. I'd rather wear a hat that's out of regulations than buy a visor extension

Lb3ntl3y

make sure you the hat has writing on that says, "yes its out of regs, but no tint nor a proper sunvisor is less safe" though you could bring up a cheap solution to you supervisor and see if they could get approval

BobbyWasabiMk2

Half the guys here wear out of regulation shit, and only half of those guys bother to try to make it look professional or fitting. I’ve got guys walking around with a cap that read “FUCK AROUND AND FIND OUT”, other guys wearing off color jackets or sweaters.

Lb3ntl3y

most of my coworkers and i dont follow the facial hair standards but we cant have anything like fafo or even a moral patchon our gear, you must be lucky

BobbyWasabiMk2

Some rules just aren’t enforced here. For example we’re not supposed to wear non-issued vests, but management here doesn’t bother enforcing it because it saves them money on issuing us gear when most of us prefer to use our own. Morale patches are somewhat common here. My former partner has a USMC patch on his vest, that’s universally pretty acceptable fwiw. But I bave other coworkers with stuff like FAFO, Molon Labe, or skull patches. Our branch aupervisor wears an out of regs t-shirt and a bunch of morale patches. My out of regs is usually just my vest, gun(allegedly we’re not supposed to have a light or optic, but that came from a coworker and the majority of the supervisors run optics and lights, so whatever I guess), and sometimes if it’s cold I’ll wear my old security bomber jacket.
