I'd carefully go with "likely". Just for fun i tried to cycle the action with spent (expanded) shells as i had no dummies. And to my surprise it fed them without any hickup from the magazine tube into the chamber... But plastic is flexible, so I don't know.
Beretta 1301 Comp, my first shotgun. It's awesome! Retro fitted with the always-down Comp Pro Lifter. I love this thing. And out of all other semiauto shotguns I handled (Benelli and Winchester) this one felt "right" instantly. So the decision to go for the Beretta was pretty straight forward.
Mainly going to use it for plates (5 plates @ 15m, as fast as possible from low ready position. So far I'm at 2,7 sec average) and of course clays (Skeet).
The 1301's are, I would argue, the best semi-auto on the market right now. Smooth and easy to shoot, reliable as shit, good ergonomics, and good looking to boot. I'm well past 1000 rounds on mine of everything from slug to birdshot and I haven't had a single failure, I've only cleaned it once and it was as simple as wiping off the bolt/chamber and running a brush down the barrel.
It'll serve you well. I highly recommend a magazine extension if you are allowed it.
Pretty much this! And there's a lot of accessories to be had.
I'll be getting the flush fitting Toni extension, I'm limited to 10 rounds in the magazine, so a 9+1 is 100% safe & legal. And it looks super nice! I like the flush fitting extensions.
I like them! And it cycles even light bird shot rounds like a champion! I was torn between a nice over/under but after I handled the 1301 for the first time I fell in love with it.
What I wanted was a somewhat "classic" shotgun with bead sights and the long-ish barrel. So for me the tactical didn't appeal. I guess it boils down to what you want from it. The picatinny rail for the 1301 is easy to retrofit (receiver has threads from factory) and not expensive, so puting a red dot sight on the Comp or Comp Pro is not an issue. I think the deciding factor is barrel lenght & irons.
And as far as I'm aware the tactical has a shorter loading port. I have not handled it yet, but the Comp & Comp Pro are easy to load with the big loading port.
I thought those were full brass shotshells for a second
Same. First reaction was "Oh this dude's fancy as shit."
Mag tech sells them for ~$40 for 25 hulls! Having swag ain’t cheap
I'll get some one day after I pick up an 1887. They seem pretty baller.
No, haha. Zala (Lithuanian ammo) uses golden shells for some reason. Maybe they're extra special, I don't know.
Me too. Couldn't help but think how heavy it would be. Lol
I was wondering if a semi would even cycle them

Excellent choice I must say 👌
Berettas are always nice 👍🏻
i have never owned a shotgun and after i saw garand thumb doing that video, It seems like its the way to go
Shotguns are awesome! Try to get into clay shooting, I didn't think it would be so much fun!!

Yes! And they'r not too expensive. :-)
The shotgun is really nice! That ammo though... that's real pretty. I now want some.
Zala ammunition from Lithuania. So far seems to work very well, 350 rounds in. No duds, no malfunctions.
Nice. Beretta is a good brand. My favorite for a time.
Glückwunsch

I hope you get a 25/25 in skeet w that bad boy
I too hope for a solid 25 (though at my experience level I'd be happy with slightly less hits lol)
Nice! I really started to appreciate the Beretta gas guns this year. Bought an A400 recently, but had to send it back due to a barrel issue.
I like them! And it cycles even light bird shot rounds like a champion! I was torn between a nice over/under but after I handled the 1301 for the first time I fell in love with it.
Good on you, not taking the smooth-brain approach to buying a shotgun, and getting a turkish gun.
My shop has one of these and I can’t decide wether to get this model or order a tactical model online. Any thoughts?

Good to know if I’m paying pretty much the same price for both
Thought you were going back to WW1 with those “brass” shells
To be honest I as torn between a trench gun and this one...
I bought a trench gun mossberg 590 retro. Love it and now I want this!!!
Nice! Have a Supernova
