Honestly I never noticed a difference. I mean I've seen every podcast, every video. For a few years now it's been almost every week, this comparison blows me away I don't even remember ethan on the left.
Yep. When the "look at the difference" posts started coming when he had merely lost 15lbs or something, I thought it was nonsense and he looked the same still. But now that the difference is actually 60 lbs or so, difference is clear. If nobody posted a picture, I'd have said his face didn't change that much. But you definitely see it if you go back and check some '21-22 pods, difference is pretty notable.
Someone needs to make a vid where it shows what his face looks like in every stream over the last year so we can see the evolution! (I don’t mean evolution in a fat shaming kind of way, just a change type of way lol)

As someone who used to be 330lbs and is now 195 lbs, let me tell you this shit is NOT EASY. it requires focus, dedication, and changing how you think. The only thing I want for Ethan now is to do some strength training. Maybe ask Hasan for help starting. I have no doubt Ethan could become jacked af, he clearly has the mental fortitude to make progress.
I don't think he's at all interested in getting jacked. I think he just wanted to lose some weight for health reasons. He's been offered gym help from tons of people and he always declines it in the nicest way he can.
I used to be close to obese, and I ended up pretty damn skinny. Like a little lightpole. And I always get the "you should get jacked now" recommendations. But it just isn't for me! Not all of us are into that physique I guess. More power to them, of course.

I have gestational diabetes and it's changed my thinking of expecting every meal to be delicious to looking at food as more of a fuel thing than a pleasure thing. Most of the time. I still have treats occasionally.

This is the drug that Ethan is most likely taking. There’s nothing wrong with anyone taking any medication to better their health.

Ugh this is inspiring me to lose weight. I was underweight at the start of the pandemic, like 89 pounds (I’m 5 feet tall) and I have gained 50-60 pounds in the past 2 years, since I started living with my boyfriend. I think I got into his eating habits (a lot of Taco Bell) and he is a chubby guy who has dated chubby girls and I felt like he wouldn’t care about my weight, which is true he doesn’t, but I realize I do. I also think since I’m in my early thirties my metabolism has changed, I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted to and not exercise and have a good body. But now I’m overweight (I’m about 145) the biggest I’ve ever been and I don’t feel sexy or comfortable in my body, all these clothes I have and loved don’t fit at all, I’m uncomfortable in shorts and revealing things and I never used to be.
I don’t have an exercise routine but my job is quite physical, still I want to get on the treadmill at a gym and just walk for hours. I also have to cut down on fast food and such. It’s hard! I’ve always been insecure about my looks but my face not my body, I always felt like it looked good.
I get what Ethan meant when he said he didn’t feel happy with how he looked when he was at his biggest and was up at night thinking about it. I feel that way too and really have to get my act together. It’s nice to know it’s possible because sometimes it feels impossible.
Howie was talking about Ozempic on his podcast and Ethan didn’t seem to even have much knowledge about it. He doesn’t exercise, but weight loss is basically 90% diet which he does still talk about. He says he’s consistent and it seems he eats the same breakfast every day and no snacking. I think he just got to the point where his stomach shrunk/body got used to the calorie deficit. I also think the Wellbutrin makes a huge difference. It’s used as ADHD medication so it’s going to suppress overeating from a dopamine standpoint.

Just count your calories and eat under your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) to lose weight over time. Same thing if you're underweight, just eat ***over*** your TDEE and you will gain weight.

Howie was talking about Ozempic on his podcast and Ethan didn’t seem to even have much knowledge about it. He doesn’t exercise, but weight loss is basically 90% diet which he does still talk about. He says he’s consistent and it seems he eats the same breakfast every day and no snacking. I think he just got to the point where his stomach shrunk/body got used to the calorie deficit. I also think the Wellbutrin makes a huge difference. It’s used as ADHD medication so it’s going to suppress overeating from a dopamine standpoint.
I’m pretty sure he’s still hitting that treadmill so more exercise than before but yeah it’s mostly diet for sure
I dont even know when it happened but he went from talking regularly about how he plateaued on the weightloss and all those weird diets to now everyone noticing how he looks hella skinnt. Maybe he stopped talking about it and put in the work but it feels so sudden :o

Yeah im glad he can feel and look good, makes for a better show! I dont really know much about ozempic other than the one time they mentioned it. Any idea why theres so much stigma about it?
good job, Ethan!! also want to say it's not a bad thing to take weight loss medication if he feels that's what he needs to do, and considering the struggles he's vocalized about food, it's understandable. but also 100% his choice to explain whether he is or isn't taking it. if he isn't, it's all the more difficult to do what he's done and keep the weight off, which will be the ongoing struggle, so props to him either way.
I'll admit I thought Ethan was a lost cause when he was nearing his peak weight. He's made crazy progress in a short amount of time and we love to see it.
Used to really dislike Ethan, but good for him getting it together. Hopefully some of his other medical problems are also remedied with his recent weight loss journey. He's got another kid on the way so his life is on a massive upswing right now.

You dont need any of those to lose weight and I dont remember him mentioning having any of those things either. Just count your calories and eat under your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) to lose weight over time. Same thing if you're underweight, just eat ***over*** your TDEE and you will gain weight.

He was walking on the treadmill and I am almost certain he said in a recent episode he’s stopped exercising. He’s just counting calories now.
I read that as he’s no longer making a great effort to exercise, not that he has stopped entirely. He has mentioned watching anime and playing video games while on the treadmill, so I could see if he finishes a game or show his motivation to go on the treadmill goes down too.
