At least Ennoshita makes it off the bench like once or twice but I wanna know more about Narita and Kinoshita. I was hoping to see them play. And the following year with Suga, Daichi, and Asahi gone who steps up? I'm assuming Enoshita becomes a starter but what about Asahi's spot? Does Yamaguchi get off the bench or the other second years finally have a chance? Or, just their luck, another first year comes in benching them all
Yeah he probably took the ace spot but I meant more his place. Assuming the current roster stays the same minus the third years that would leave 2 open starter spots. I figured Ennoishita will take one but immcurious who steps up as a starter
Assuming the second-now-third years take a starter spot and not any 1st year, the most obvious choices would be both Ennoshita and Kinoshita as they are both spikers, just as Daichi and Asahi. It would be hard for either Narita and Yamaguchi to get a starter role when they have to compete against both Hinata and Tsukishima.
My guess would be:
Setter: Kageyama;
Middle Blocker: Hinata, Tsukki;
Outside hitter: Tanaka, Kinoshita (before Asahi);
Opposite hitter: Ennoshita (before Daichi);
Libero: Nishinoya;
Pinch server: Yamaguchi;
Bench: Narita (possibility of becoming a PS).
I’ve always thought it would be
S: kageyama
MBs: narita, tsukishima
OHs: Ennoshita (captain), Tanaka (Ace)
L: Nishinoya
OPP: Hinata (he’d make a great OPP after nationals, commonly discussed)
That also looks like a big possibility, but I'm basing my lineup in >!the description the commentators gave about Hinata's career during the Adlers vs. Jackals game when they said he played MB during highschool, meaning Hinata never changed positions in all those years.!<
fukunaga and just most of nekoma’s younger players in general. there’s something so endearing about his personality and his awful jokes i really wish i could see more of him
Takeda sensei. To be honest, this man is the reason why the club is still standing. I would appreciate it if we could see him in more panels, or him trying to play volleyball casually. Sports don't seem like his strong suit, yet he still gave the club a go. So props to Tekeda sensei
inoka, he had the one match up with hinata way back,but after that he's just a background character
The rest of fukurodani bokuto and akaashi take all the screen time
Issei, he's fun and his personality is quite different. I think he'd be a cool character to develop
Ikejiri, daichis friend from middle school. They had that whole "keep winning for me" moment and (to my knowledge) he never shows up again, liek what's the point he could of been a long running character who follows them to nationals but he just vanish
Edit: he does show up briefly
I agree with Inuoka. I never really understood why he was easily replaced by Lev even though he was an effective MB, he even got to quickly react and adopt to kagehina's quick attack during their first practice match together.
I think whilst inuoka was very effective against the freak quick, the advantage he brings to the team when facing other schools pales in comparison to lev's.
Nekoma is a very defense oriented team yes, but it's simply not feasible for them to out rally every single point. So they'll definitely need to boost up their offense also, which is why I think they favour lev over inuoka!
This! I think he's a really good all-rounder, which feels somewhat rare in the series considering most of the stand-out players have one major thing they're better at than anyone else. It would've been nice to have a bit about how he and Sarukui feel about their roles on the team, considering that Bokuto takes so much of the limelight (not to say it's undeserved, but it can't be all fun to constantly be in his shadow).
Idk man I think nishinoya should get some more time but prolly bias cuz he has to be fav characterblike he is behind the lines doing god's work not very recognised. Without him we aren't winning shit
Honestly Sakusa. As the ace of the number 1 school he is a very intreaguing character and seeing how he compares to ushijima would be very interesting.
Itachiyama as a whole deserved more screen time.
The first years who feel like they got scouted by their school volleyball teams seemingly purely due to their height and nothing else: Koganegawa, Hyakuzawa, and Lev (although Lev does get a decent amount of screentime already). How did they feel about it? Why did they agree? We saw that Hyakuzawa suffered from impostor syndrome, but did the other two face similar challenges as well? (and if not, why?)
Also the senior setter from Shiratorizawa who got second stringed, because I feel like that would've made an interesting contrast to Suga's experience.
Both Akagi and Ojiro. Inarizaki is my overall favorite team in terms of characters, but I feel like we only briefly touch on Aran, and most of that is in his relationship with the twins (which I love), but I always wanted more of his perspective in those flashbacks. With Akagi, I was so impressed with his level of play in the Inarizaki/Karasuno match, but we hardly get anything about him (unlike what we get for Yaku or Nishinoya).
Oikawa. You said more and I think he deserves more and also the whole team. I just wanted to know more about him besides volleyball.
Also Chikara. I love him.
The second year trio who are in bench most of the time

Same thoughts

i hate that they just made narita’s arc a copycat of yamaguchi’s
LoL
Hoshiumi. I think his character as Hinata's counterpart is often overlooked. Also Hirugami, I think his backstory was pretty interesting.
fukunaga and just most of nekoma’s younger players in general. there’s something so endearing about his personality and his awful jokes i really wish i could see more of him
Part of his charm is the small doses hit when they happen.
In the recent movie, I was just watching the referee's reactions to Fukunaga's jokes. It's so funny
Takeda sensei. To be honest, this man is the reason why the club is still standing. I would appreciate it if we could see him in more panels, or him trying to play volleyball casually. Sports don't seem like his strong suit, yet he still gave the club a go. So props to Tekeda sensei
Also his courses. He is a teacher after all
Kita - his character made such an impact on me despite him barely having any screentime in the show
SAME
Ennoshita🖤

Futakuchi
Him and Aone. It would've been nice to see them beyond being just "smart-ass who became captain" and "big, quiet guy who is a terrifying blocker"
Konoha! I find him so charming

Sorry but this right here is FACTS
Ikr like without nishinoya we losing so hard
He’s literally the cornerstone of their whole ass team
Probably an unpopular opinion, but Asahi is literally the ACE of karasuno and they hardly ever give him an ounce of screentime when he should have it.
I was looking for this comment! 100% agree, but I am biased since he's one of my favourite characters
He is my favorite as well lol. I’m also pretty biased towards him😭
kogenegawa
I was abt to say this lol
I love him and his golden retriever energy so much.

Top high school libero is probably yaku, and I'll die on that hill.
Akaashi!
KUNIMI he's so cute
Iizuna *slams table*
Goshiki, he’s so funny!
Daishou!
Natsu, Hinata's sister, she's so cute, I really wanted to see more of her
All of karasuno’s third years. They have a lot of screentime but no one ever appreciates them enough
No because TENDOU deserves SO MUCH MORE 😭 He is so hot and funny and amazing, I wish we saw him more!
i love that he’s just somehow genuinely friends with ushijima
Honestly Sakusa. As the ace of the number 1 school he is a very intreaguing character and seeing how he compares to ushijima would be very interesting. Itachiyama as a whole deserved more screen time.
Ennoshita!
Koganegawa deserved so much more screen time 😭😭

He already has a lot of attention but they could do so much more with his character: Bokuto
The rest of Fukurodani outside of Bokuto and Akaashi
koganegawa. he's a total sunshine, super cute, and a good player (since he got invited to the first year training). he's looks like this >:3
omg i completely forgot: SUNA he just seems so fun and fanfics do him so good
Tanaka

I want to see more Oikawa. 💕
This is really random and chances are no one’s gonna agree, but I think Terushima & his team should’ve stayed longer :))
