UGHHH you just brought back the worst memory of a colony cat with a botfly fly larva in her neck that I had to trap and take to the vet π
Hoping I can bleach that memory back out of my brain!!
From a nature standpoint it's interesting and amazing in its own right.
From any other less intellectual reason so gross, drown it in alcohol and burn it. (Hopefully) With our harming the host.
Exactly! Thankfully, the vet was able to remove it (kitty was NOT happy and had to be sedated for the whole process), and while she was indoors healing (the flushed out wound was huge ughhh π) I was able to properly socialize her and adopt her out! So she had a happy ending, at least. Botfly larva was murdered in alcohol, probably no fire tho

I have a small parrot and fear that a hog would eat him. That and landlords said no snakes, I can have any animal but snakes they did let me have a dozen tarantulas so that was nice. But I love these little goober hogs from a distance. Your little girl is beyond adorable and she is so pretty!
This is my goober Skipper he is snake-like he is a long boy! He is just a type of green hognose π

Thank you, you are so sweet. Skipper is an extremely rare morph. He is a birb hognose morph called Pineapple conure. And he gets into everything and is my little iPad kid constantly trying to eat my phone and my fingers.
I had a Jenday conure when I was quite a bit younger, and he definitely had a taste for fingers too, I think him and Skipper would have bonded over mutual love for eating fingers lol
He's a really pretty boy, and he looks healthy and happy too, I can tell you take amazing care of him :) π«Άπ»
Jendays are so pretty! I had to put Skipper on a diet because he was eating too many seeds. Now we bonded a bit more seeds are just treats and not bribes. I never gave him a seed bowl so he could eat himself silly. He is constantly licking his seed jar hoping he can crawl inside and go crazy. If you look closely at that picture I posted of him upside down he is LICKING the seed jar!
That's just a friendly "howdy"!
She is very fond of coming up to say hello so it sounds about right for her!

I was about to comment the same thing, my poor boy got stuck in a coconut just like that, doing the exact same thing π no injuries luckily.
