Although this isn’t quite an example of it, I’m curious if anybody is aware of another animal so prone to phantom limb syndrome as the domesticated feline. That limbless swat cracks me up every time.
It probably still can be itchy due to it healing or the wrapping, which would explain the cat trying to shake it off initially. The scratching motion from the cone(?) could be relieving some itchiness too.
If genetic hard wiring had a density scale, house cats would be diamond equivalent. Yet their ability to go feral in one generation suggests an extreme malleability. Such mysterious fuzzy conundrums.
The brain cell comment is not funny when the cat is in in pain. The cat is hurting. Obviously, he does not understand what a bandage is. His instinct is to lick where he hurts. I think this is a mean post. Usually this sub is a fan-club of funny and clever entertainment. This post misses the mark.
Get better soon fuzzy buddy..!
Its the count that thoughts.
I see what you there did. Hey you smell toast?

Tuxedo cats are the oranges of the black cats

My cat has been a tripod since he was only a few weeks old, and he still swats at the dog with his nub (he's three now)

Don’t worry he’s not in pain, he’s been prescribed daily painkillers until his bandages and stitches are removed and his scar is completely healed.
100% agree, thanks for speaking up.
Thank you for the solidarity
