I find great deals all the time. I live in LA though where there’s a trillion people though (lots of bad consequences to this lol), which makes it a buying / selling wonderland. But everything listed above also is key (cash ready, immediate pickup, etc.)
Right? I look on market place in my area once every few months, all I see is equipment and weight going for like 95% of retail. These steals much be handed down from on high or something. Congrats on OP for living the dream though!
You guys need to tell me how you're getting all of these great deals because all I get in my area are people trying to sell chewed up urethane plates, rusted out dumbbells, and CAP plates for more than retail....
Definitely gotta have the cash ready, the ability to pick up asap and be lucky. I was able to get a few things after asking if the seller had anything else for sale that wasn’t posted. They usually do.
Being religious in checking market place, and having cash ready to go.
I check 5 or 6 times a day and still miss things.
We got over a million subs here. There's bound to be one or two of those snagging a deal daily.

That's my experience as well. All I see are people selling used gear for 80-120% of retail.
It's all over the place. The good deals are gone in a day or less. The posts asking hundreds of dollars to move their rusty garbage stay up all year.
