Most dehumidifier units have options for pump drainage as well as drip/hose drainage.

I've never seen a dehumidifier that can't do this, assuming you can gravity drain. If you can't, some come with a built in pump or you could just put an external condensate pump on it.

I have a GE 50 pint unit that I like and have had running for about a year. It has a drain hose hookup (like many of the units do) that I have a garden hose connected to that then drains into the sump. (It's technically considered a portable dehumidifier, but at a weight of around 75 pounds, it's not something you can easily move up and down stairs.) I have somewhat mixed feelings on smart devices, but in this instance, it's a very good feature to have as dehumidifiers can use quite a bit of energy and some of the smart features can save you quite a bit on your energy bills. There are whole home units from companies like AprilAire. These are often far more effective if you have humidity issues on multiple levels of the home and are far more energy efficient in such circumstances.

I've had two Winix units running continuously for 13 years. They have a pump that comes on when the drain pan gets full; the drainage tube is about 1/4 inch wide. The only problem I've had was twice when the tube outlet got blocked with scum and the pan overflowed; easily fixed by poking a pencil in there, at the advice of customer support.

Lots of options out there. The main thing I'd consider is if you'll need to pump the condensate up to a drain or if the unit can gravity drain somewhere. Models with a pump tend to be a bit more expensive, so if you don't need it you can save a few bucks. Nearly every dehumidifier I've seen has a gravity drain option. Usually they have standard garden hose connection, but not always.

I bought one that had a tube to a tank and just ran the tube to my sump pump. Then I never had to empty it. You could do the same with a floor drain if you had one.

Yeah, i made one for my mom...30 years ago...several pumps and dehumidifiers later...cut a sump into your basement..(2x2 works), place your dehumidifier on a base...vent it into the sump, discharge the sump either into your waste field, or sewer line if your local codes allow it
