Just as we forgive others. If I can forgive someone for a harmless mistake or give them a benefit of doubt, I am just as deserving for some grace towards myself. It takes practice and you might not get it all the time, but self compassion is like a muscle, do it repeatedly with intention and eventually it’ll come naturally!

How can I forgive myself?

Understand mistakes you've made in the past, learn from that and move on, there's whole life waiting in front of you.
