final chapter (4) is the best one by far. its one of the few films in the franchise that isn’t just a glorified body count but actually has some very memorable / rootable characters
Final Chapter is the best one, Jason X is the silliest one. I too was a late bloomer to the Friday the 13th franchise and Scream got me interested when they spoiled the ending of the first movie that his mom was the killer.
Go with Jason lives Friday the 13th part 6. Fast paced, little bit of jokes and awesome kills. Or if u want carrie fighting out with Jason go with part 7😎
I like 4 - but I grade on the scale of Friday the 13th movies, so I can't say you'll like it more. Spoilers, Jason *is* the killer in this one, so there is that. My favorite type of Jason too - a shadow in the stormy night; what this man has with storms I'll never know lol
People like 6 a lot, but that is a lot more of an action movie in many regards.
I find that the general rule is that the odd numbered entries in the series are poor, and the even numbered entries are good. The exceptions to this rule are Part 3 abd Part 8.
And yes, I consider *Jason X* to be one of the good ones.
I mean no one really ranks the part 1 the best because it wasnt really the best in the series and it was just made more popular due to betsy palmer and kevin bacon but other than that it wasnt the best in the series . I honestly feel the best in the series is Part 4 final chapter or Part 6 Jason Lives . The worst has to be part 9 Jason goes to hell or Part 8 Jason takes Manhattan . The series gets better in part 2 , ups it up in part 3 and pretty much peaks in part 4 .
I only recently did a marathon of the entire series, and my favourite was Part 6 (Jason Lives).

I did like that aspect too. I just didn’t like the characters.
They really are a weak part of the movie. I much prefer characters in part 4, 5, 6 or 9
I love the characters in 4. Especially Crispin Glover’s character.

As you should part X gets a lot of hate but I love it! The liquid nitrogen kill is as simply the best.
