I can't see any green there so I'm not sure it will root at all, without chlorophyll.

lolthrash

There’s green through the middle of three of the leaves, but not loads https://preview.redd.it/uzkhn8wd7g7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40ed3a9627f214997535143f1abcf13a9fe3e509

OK I see it now. Not much! Just stick the cutting in a bottle/jar of water and see if it roots at all. I would put it in a bright window (but not scorching) as that patch of green is going to have to work hard.

Mysterious-Bug3390

You can cut off all of it that's only white, and try re rooting the bits with green, but with that little green and that much damage it's pretty far gone already.

Miso_J

With that much white, it may not be successful. That’s probably why it was “burning” so easily. Probably wasn’t actually burning, but with the lack of chlorophyll it isn’t really producing energy to sustain the plant.

lolthrash

There’s some green, do you think there’s a way to make it work? Was wondering about individual cuttings of just the leaves with green in them? Not sure though

Miso_J

Cut off one with some green and make sure you leave an area of the main stem that has a node (the little bumps) attached because thats where it’ll root. Put it in a cup of water in a window and cross your fingers!

lolthrash

Great thanks for the advice

Uberguy5

You’ll have to chop the top part back to the leaf that last had chlorophyll in it. This will activate a node and hopefully that node will give you more balanced variegation.

It's not getting burned. Its dying from not enough light. Doubt there's even enough green on the stem to make anything of this.

bunnylicious81

I used to have one of those. https://preview.redd.it/l2aq1rgtdg7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4eddc828f5c07ac04ac489d74852744d61e8a692 when the 3rd leaf was still white, I decided to cut and toss them out because it would just keep pushing out albino leaves. I cut above the last Albo leaf with green coloring. The new leaf after that was normal Albo green-white again.

lolthrash

Awesome I’ll give that a try, thank you!

Ninjaboi91

This a doomed plant. There isnt enough green to keep it alive. As beautiful as it is, it is pretty much certain to be a temporary spectacle.

oa_pa

Very pretty. But dead as disco. The plant has no energy and no way to produce any. Enjoy while it lasts.

Phil_DeRon

Plenty of soft light, good fertilization, fungus free bacteria free sterile soil. Take care of it like a transplant patient. Good luck

BugsXxx

White is hard for the plant to grow it’s just gonna take some time to grow roots but it’s surely won’t die if your put it in water or anything of your choosing!

Nunakababwe

If it could somewhat stay that way, something stabilising/hardening material it looks like a piece of art or nips for a home.
