If you focus the crimping where the tail comes off the main body, you might have better luck making it bow down.
Otherwise, try to grab the end of the tail after the bump and turn it clockwise (in picture orientation)making it curl closed.
It should be soft enough that you can take some pliers and bend it closed, but be careful because you make break it if it bends too far.
While it goes down easily, it also goes back up like this just as easily
Clamp it way WAY harder than you think you need to. You want to bend that bitch past where it makes initial contact
