It does not, not even dish soap. Soap (unless it's antibacterial) helps to lift bacteria, dirt, and oils so that the water can wash it away. Using hands as an example for some perspective. It takes 15 seconds of washing your hands(with soap and water) to reduce the bacteria on them by 90%, most people aren't washing their hands that long(if they even wash them or use soap in the first place, or take the time to lather it.. ) Antibacterial soap is just normal soap that helps keep the bacteria that's still on you from replicating after you've washed. It's still more effective than stuff like hand sanitizer, though, since hand sanitizer will only kill specific things.

I don’t know why that got downvoted. A tiny amount of E-coli on your feet is a non-issue. If you’ve cleaned your bottom with soap and rinse the wash cloth or whatever you’re using the risk of contamination with bacteria is minuscule if you use soap. Fungus doesn’t clean off as easily and takes weeks or months to clear up once you’ve gotten it. Jock itch is no joke.

I wish I could, there are way too many strong opinions here. The general consensus is use a separate washcloth and antibacterial soap and then wash whichever you’re less afraid of contaminating the other first. Fwiw I do shampoo, conditioner, face, body, separate cloth for ass, another rinse on my legs, then a scrubber for my feet.

I always wait to do my face till I've completely rinsed. Otherwise I wind up with my conditioner running down my clean face. So I wash feet last, rinse my hair and whole body, then wash my hands, and then very last thing - wash my face.

This is fine as long as you don't have body acne. If you have body acne, you should rinse conditioner and then wash body. Otherwise conditioner can clog the pores.

Feet go last, because I don't want nasty foot stuff anywhere near any of my holes. But, I don't use a washcloth in my ass crack . The skin around the anus is a bit too sensitive, and it doesn't need exfoliation.

I don’t like wash cloths nor any other type of an exfoliation tool. Use a gentle unscented baby soap on genital area, then I wash ears, pits and feet with a mildly scented soap (live Fragonard and L’Erbolario soaps), next legs with a scented body gel, then arms with an unscented oil body wash (the area most prone to eczema in my case), then torso and back with an unscented shower gel as that area is greasier than the other parts of my body. The face gets washed the last.

I use lots of different soaps because my body is very picky on what works where, and I get exhausted just thinking about my own routine. Doesn’t help me motivate to shower.

I am extremely motivated by not having eczema flair ups. Been showering this way for two decades now, so kinda goes automatically at this point. Recommend decanting shower gels pump bottles, makes everything easier and quicker.

Just tried an African net sponge in my shower today. Wow, game changer. My back hasn’t felt this thoroughly clean in ages. In fact, I think I will only use a washcloth on my face first, then the nether regions. I’m using that African net sponge for everything else.

I wash with my hands nowadays (used to use loofahs). Butt is last. Feet don't get directly washed unless there is a special reason to (was walking barefoot, they're visibly dirty, gross floors). I actually used to have pretty sweaty stinky feet when I would scrub them with a loofah 1-2 times a day. If I do wash my feet, I do in this order: Groin, butt. Wash hands. Feet.

If I’m washing my hair, I wash it first. Then I apply conditioner and while that sits, I wash my face, then rinse out the conditioner and wrap my hair in a cotton t shirt. Sometimes a little conditioner gets on my face so I will wash my face with a tiny bit of cleanser (I refuse to change the order of things) Then I soap up starting at my left tit, armpit, arm, then right side, then stomach, back, upper back/shoulder blades (I’m flexible as fuck boi) before doing my legs and finally, my feet. This is all with one washcloth except for my face, although I only use a washcloth on my face like once a week if I need to exfoliate. After all of that, I soap up my cookie then my ass, and kinda move around so my buttcheeks lather each other. Then I use the shower head to clean in between my labia, the forbidden land between cooch and butt, and finally, my ass. Rinse everywhere one more time and I’m done.

I use a clean wash rag each shower that's just for vulva, then butt, in that order. For the rest of my body, I use a mesh sponge from top to bottom. I also use a brush for my back.

My gigantic long, throbbing, thick, and beastly legs.

Shampoo hair (wash ears with the shampoo), rinse, apply the conditioner. I leave that in and wash my face with my wash cloth. Then pits, upper lady bits outside of groin area in front. Legs (shave if I’m going to) add soap to my silicone foot scrubber and use that. Rinse the lady parts with only water. Then clean behind. Finally rinse out hair.

Water is plenty for many ladies when it comes to vulva/genitalia and is actually often the obgyn recommended strategy. Either that or ONLY sensitive unscented bar soap. I use unscented sensitive Dove bar per my doctor if I feel I need it but I've gone phases I only use water and there is zero change in odor.
