Dark mode saves battery. I use automatic because in the sun I find my screen (15 pro max) gets harder to see on dark mode so I use light mode in the day and dark mode at night. You might want to use dark mode if it saves you battery life.
I think I’m going to do the same thing, keep it on light mode during the day. In Colorado, the sun is so bright during the day I can’t see my display as well until much later in the day, around 7 pm. I just want to make sure my settings are as optimized as possible.
If one day your just taking photos low power mode could help battery life because apparently using the camera drains battery life fast. I recommend adding low power mode to control centre. Also add dark mode
Auto, I like the contrast of black text on a white background on sunny days.
The battery life is horrendous with dark mode too so I couldn’t care less. Still need to charge mid day
Dark mode. OLED means a black pixel can be truly off.
Battery saving is negligible if you mostly do pictures and videos, but it can be noticeable if you read mostly texts, like Reddit.
Mostly dark. Sometimes I’ll go to auto mode for a week or two when I miss light mode. But dark is ultimately king especially during nighttime it’s non negotiable

I added low power mode to the control center this morning and I’ll add dark mode now. Thanks for the help.
Always on display probably uses a lot of battery but I leave it on because I have an expensive phone and I want to use my expensive phone features
Exactly I have the 15 pro I just bought it last week. I love it but coming from an android I’m still figuring out the ins and outs of Apple products
It doesn't use a lot of battery, but your reason for leaving it on works. I have my AOD on because it's the coolest.
I have mine on because it’s useful. when I walk past my phone I can see the time instead of looking at my watch or tapping my screen.
Dark
Dark mode always. It just simply looks better and it also saves battery too.
Dark. Saves battery and looks better. Only use white when outdoors for extended periods of time.
Using auto could further prevent burn in.
Auto, I used to be mainly dark but I’ve come around to light mode

I use Auto, just personal preference though
Dark mode every time and all the time!
Auto.
