Dude 5 guys is ridiculous and their burgers are expensive as shit and 1/4 of the quality. Only time I’d go if I’m hankering for the Cajun fries where they dump copious amounts of fries in that little brown bag
They’re not 1/4 the quality, they’re just 4x as expensive. If 5 guys prices were the same as In-N-Out, they would outsell them I bet. They’re fucking delicious but who wants to pay $30 for a burger, fries and a drink?
Had the worst food poisoning from an under cooked burger at 5 guys about 7 years ago now.
Sometimes I think about going back but it's just not worth it.
Shake shack is really overrated. It’s so one note. I’m not some foodie but I know there should be some contrast in the texture and flavors. It’s just rich and soft.
Shake Shack i got to check on the website if they have special promos like every friday is free fries with $10 purchase.
Or Uber One buy 1 get 1 free burger.
So Id buy 2 fries get third free and the buy 1 get 1 separate order from uber.
I had shake shack the first time last night and it was pretty gross. It all seemed to be cooked correctly and was fresh, but i dont dont get it. The bun was weirdly soft and doughy and the whole thing kinda smelled like ham water. Freddy’s frozen custard and steakburgers is multiple tiers above it.
5 guys is great just expensive.
I went to a shake shack to see what the hype was about, didn’t eat , since we ate already but it just seemed too “hip” for me, my son pointed out the place looked like it was trying to be all upscale and took the charm away from it being a burger joint.
If you are ever near a freddys give that a try. Same concept, better executed, very 50s style.
https://www.freddys.com/order/finder
Id imagine the original shake shacks were good and the chains just suck now. Kinda like if you go to the original del taco in barstow compared to anywhere else. Freddys still felt like an original, at least the one i went to. Really good fries and fry sauce too.
Thats because you arent using the app, if you're going to fast food places that utilize an app for deals & you pay full price. you have no right to complain
Is McDonalds paying your bills? This is really defensive on their behalf.
I don't frequent McDonald's. Haven't since their prices continued to climb to heights their quality doesn't match.
Even with whatever deals you get on their app, it's still way too much for what they're serving up.
Its not defensive its just common sense in this day and age I can get a meal from Mcdonalds for $5-6 with the app while most other fast food places will run me twice that amount. I'm literally just trying to help you lmao
Yeah but that’s the thing you shouldn’t have to use an app that tracks your location and personal data just to get a couple bucks off a burger to make them the price they should already be. I use apps at some places but it’s still bullshit and I hate that it’s come to this.
A lot more convenience using the app, just have to give a code instead of a whole order. Can customize things however you’d like without having to repeat yourself at the speaker. I don’t care what McDonald’s does with my data, none of it is gonna affect me in any kind of way.
I didn't need the help man and that last bit about having no right to complain came off rude. If I want a cheeseburger I'm going to In N Out. For the price point and the quality McDonald's doesn't compare. It used to be a contender when it was cheaper and the portions were bigger but not anymore.
It was just notable for me that we bought a delicious shrimp crab salad sandwich on soft Japanese milk bread for less than $12 at Disneyland and the presentation and quality was well above what we expected. While in comparison, without their app I guess, for $12 at McDonald's you can get a burger that looks like someone sat on it.
No matter where I go to lunch, it’s going to be $15 dollars or more unless I eat something unfulfilling or i don’t want, like a veggie sandwich. I got a simple BLT from a basic market&deli and it was $14 for just the sandwich. Drink and chips would make it $20.
So a quarter pounder, 10 piece nuggets and a large drink for $7.68 through the app is a great deal in comparison.
I used to think the McDs app was great but then I got tired of having to pick the same trash deals every time. And what if I want fries? Well then I have to either pay way too much for fries or pick the fries deal and pay way too much for burgers. Now I only go there for the $1.29 any size fries deal cuz I know their burgers aren’t worth any price they are going to charge.
I completely understand that. It will be a cold day in hell before I pay $5 for a little box of fries that isn’t even filled up. Same goes for paying $8 for a McDonald’s burger. It’s a matter of principle.
Dude…no way…unless you want a cheeseburger meal you can’t get meals under $8-$10.00 In The App…1/4 meal medium walk in is $9.29 in Phoenix INO is cheaper than a McDonald’s meal…
You shouldn’t be required to give away your data and lose storage space on your phone in order to not get overcharged.
With that said, I use their app all the time haha. I’ve never experienced anything more convenient. I park, spend 30 seconds ordering and one minute waiting, all in the comfort of my car, walk in, grab my food and walk back. As someone who was around before the internet was a household staple (Compuserve) I still marvel over today’s technology.
Thats the dumbest fucking thing ive ever heard.
I gotta download an app to order food at a place with a god damn drive thru? Get fucked, just wont go..thats some dumb fucking ignorant shit
Yeah sac is pretty much becoming the Bay Area now, even Kaiser and Sutter pays the same rates. Plus side is if you move to plumas lake, you can get a brand new house 3500 square ft for around 550k
Combo cheeseburger meal went up about 15 cents in the L.A. area after the minimum wage increase, so basically nothing. In-N-Out was already starting new employees over $20 an hour so not much an effect.
In-N-Out is cheap for what you get.
https://preview.redd.it/masbrjf49v7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22d1c2ed21c35fb048b77016026b83b015068e20
Cali South East LA is there w you
McDonalds is still more expensive.
Quarter pounder medium combo runs $14 at my nearest location and doesn’t taste half as good as In n Out nor values their employees.
It’s hilarious and a little sad watching some people try and blame this completely on wages when literally all other costs went up as well. You really think increased cost of goods, rent, utilities, and other expenses didn’t play a large part in price increases?
Yea still significantly cheaper than any other burger joint, and better too. Innnout strives to keep costs as low as possible without going out of business
I mean, considering how well they've done to keep prices down and quality up before, I guess that after a while, the camel's back broke and they had to raise prices.
I belive it is still cheaper than McDonald's though.
They've kept prices down because they don't participate in corporate greed as much as other fast food companies. In n Out is still private, so they don't answer to shareholders.
Oh man, don’t get me started with the burger joints that flip their little tablet around and say “it’s going to ask you a few questions”
The only answers to choose
15% 18% 20% custom
I’m glad in and out doesn’t do this and lay pressure on folks for just wanting to pay for a burger and not feel obligated to subsidize wages. They pay fairly well at In-N-Out which is win win. Love it!
Man… you’re not alone. I swear every time I walk outside the front door, $50 bucks just flies out my pocket with me like a dog that sees another dog running.
4x4 this week was over $10, I remember they were like $5-6 when I started ordering them. Still best deal in my town when the bars charge $20+ for a hoity toity smash burger
I tried this chain recently for the first time. Left me scratching my head. They were about on the same level as say McDonald’s or Wendy’s. I am baffled why such a cult following. Maybe I went on a bad day?
Have faith brother,
Double double extra toasted, grilled and regular onions, and extra cheese if you pleaseeee
Get 2 house spread sauce
10 ketchups add black pepper to it
Dump your fries out into the box or bag.
Put all sauce in each side
Go to town right in the parking lot or inside (do not take it home unless you live 5 minutes away, even with that it’s hard to resist the freshness)
Good god I can't afford this 1 dollar increase. I have set a hard budget of $11 for a meal and now will be left to eat the scraps of others. This is unacceptable.
Here's the question though.... two double-doubles, or one, say, Red Robin burger, which comes with bottomless fries?
Though at RR you have to get it to-go, or else you'll have to tip, and then it costs more - and it's tough to get "bottomless" fries to-go.
The best burger value right now is probably the Chilis $10.99 one - comes with fries and unlimited chips/salsa. I had it recently and thought it was good. But I literally drove past a Chilis this week to go to in n out. Cheeseburger and fries $7.xx, no soda
Off topic but if Innout can afford to sell burgers at this price, doesn't that mean that we're being lied to about all the other corporations needing to charge 10+ a burger?
Oh god $10 double double meals
Just kidding those are still the best bang for your bucks when you’re comparing that to the garbage some other fast food places are charging you for more
Yep, and people will still vote for the clown and blame capitalism and greedy corporations. The elites have mastered the art of deception for stupid people
So if it's not greedy corporations, why has nearly every corporation posted record profits while the rest of us haven't seen an increase in real wages? Your argument sucks and you should be ashamed.
Lmao there it is! Amazing how a “progressive”administration gets in power and now there’s record profits for companies and not for everyone else. Almost like forcing the closure of small businesses during the plandemic only strengthened the big corps with deep pockets who lead your politicians around on leashes. $100 billion to Ukraine! That’ll help! 😂
Please point out specifically what policy Biden himself has enacted that has resulted in this. I have all day, so I'll wait. But, ultimately I know you can't do it 🙃 When your political agenda is stronger than your brain, you'll say anything stupid, I guess.
Still cheaper than most other fast food. I went to Carl's Jr. the other day (I'm in San Diego) and I got a 5 piece chicken tenders with one order of onion rings and it was $15.
Same prices here in Santa Rosa. But for like $7 I got a bangin ass double double for lunch yesterday and was full for a few hours. Still much better than the competition for sure imo
Lmao this happens every time someone posts a picture or video of “OMG such and such place is SO cheap”, like bro… when you discover something is cheap KEEP IT TO YOUR DAMN SELF. OR THIS WILL HAPPEN.
That’s NOT just the Bay Area FYI that’s all California locations has NOTHING to do with that. Just make sure to think the Democrats if you are one don’t complain because your governor is the one to blame.
It blows my mind how a business like in-n-out can pay a living wage (and a lot of times even more. Ex. In n out manager 100k McDonalds 48k) , serve “fresh” & “real” food, hardly raise their prices ever, and they still make a handsome profit. Meanwhile McDonalds, taco bell, jack in the box, etc are doubling their prices while paying the bare minimum while serving chemicals to their
Customers and they bitch about “inflation” and “it’s hard to find anyone who wants to work anymore”.
Crazy is that it’s $6 for a double double and also a double cheeseburger at McDonald’s. One comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and special sauce and the other just meat and cheese… oh and a couple of onions with a spritz of ketchup .
There's a McDonald's right next to my in n out and if it isn't busy I'll dip next door for fries and coke 😁
Besides, little man goes nuts when he sees the happy meal box
The price increase at In-N-Out is not due to the Store closure.
Instead, it’s necessary to maintain paying Associates a premium above minimum wage. Additionally, inflation and the high cost of food contribute to the increased prices, which ultimately affects consumers.
source: INO Associate
In none of these arguments I see how corporate profits drop and ceo pay drops.
I work for a billion dollar company. We pay our ceo 20 something million a year. We lost as a company 300 something million last year. But we’re still in business and I’m supposed to work more. And give up more.
Blame the BLM movement. Ever since then, their community has been acting out.
You still have boatloads of great black people. It’s just the bad bunch that makes any ethnicity look bad.
Congrats. You wanted $20 minimum wage throughout. This is the outcome. Soon the same whiners will be asking for $30 an hour. An 8th grader could have predicted this.
Cost of goods, rent, utilities, and insurance all increased, followed by wages. That is just inflation. You’re wanting to shift the narrative to blame it completely on workers because you’ve been indoctrinated to think that narrowly, likely by a specific media outlet.
They thought they’d get paid more money and prices would be the same. Thats not how it works. Companies have to make more profit so they raise their prices. It’s an endless one up competition that you’ll never win.
Still the best burger even with the price increased. I had that for dinner tonight! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Better than Shake Shack or 5 Guys for the price.
Dude 5 guys is ridiculous and their burgers are expensive as shit and 1/4 of the quality. Only time I’d go if I’m hankering for the Cajun fries where they dump copious amounts of fries in that little brown bag
They nerfed the amount of fries they give you 😔
Unpopular opinion, but 5 guys burgers are disgusting. They have no flavor to me and way too much grease
Freeze indeed when you unfold the foil, its like they aren’t even sorry
Like why wrap the burger in foil right off the grill and then when I get it the bread is always soggy...
They’re not 1/4 the quality, they’re just 4x as expensive. If 5 guys prices were the same as In-N-Out, they would outsell them I bet. They’re fucking delicious but who wants to pay $30 for a burger, fries and a drink?
Only tried 5 guys 2 times didn't really get any flavor out of the burger and it was dripping grease. Not my style.
Once was enough for me.
Had the worst food poisoning from an under cooked burger at 5 guys about 7 years ago now. Sometimes I think about going back but it's just not worth it.
Everytime I had a five guys burger it fell apart the second I touched it
Shake shack is really overrated. It’s so one note. I’m not some foodie but I know there should be some contrast in the texture and flavors. It’s just rich and soft.
You described it perfectly. Also the most bland chicken sandwich I've ever had came from them.
Had it for the first time yesterday. Soft is a great way to put it. It was very off-putting.
It was a pretty big deal when they opened one where I lived. I have tried it a few times here or when traveling and it’s just…fine.
I think they are both good representations of what they are. Also Shake Shack fries are dramatically better.
They remind me of old school Carl’s Jr fries that I loved when I was a kid
Both suck. The latter is too pricey the former makes me sick. Just taste weird. Super duper burgers is the bomb.
Shake Shack i got to check on the website if they have special promos like every friday is free fries with $10 purchase. Or Uber One buy 1 get 1 free burger. So Id buy 2 fries get third free and the buy 1 get 1 separate order from uber.
Oh I’m with you on that. Thats why I keep Del Taco and EPL apps on that thang.

Yeah, someone tell me when they reach 5 guy prices
Under 12 bucks for a double double combo still ain’t too bad. But it’s up everywhere now.
True that, think McDonald’s might be more expensive than in and out, which is crazy
I've had food at DISNEYLAND for less than a meal at McDonald's
Thats because you arent using the app, if you're going to fast food places that utilize an app for deals & you pay full price. you have no right to complain
Is McDonalds paying your bills? This is really defensive on their behalf. I don't frequent McDonald's. Haven't since their prices continued to climb to heights their quality doesn't match. Even with whatever deals you get on their app, it's still way too much for what they're serving up.

Lol I’ve used the app, the deals are usually shit, and never what I actually want off the menu

Sadly so true I’ve stopped going to McDonnalds after 50 years.
McDonald’s still has a Big Mac a medium fry and a medium drink for 6.50 near me
went to the one in west sacramento today and i can’t believe a #1 is finally over $10 now
Yeah sac is pretty much becoming the Bay Area now, even Kaiser and Sutter pays the same rates. Plus side is if you move to plumas lake, you can get a brand new house 3500 square ft for around 550k
Yea and everyone from the bay is moving there too
Not from bay but i just moved there from la, and was able to buy a house
I think rates for northern Cali 30 year fixed is little under 6% ? Tempting. Hoping we all get in early before the techy folks come in 😆
They’re already here, don’t you see all the Tesla’s driving around?
Lmao, do they get stuck on the 70? Or 99? 🤣
Combo cheeseburger meal went up about 15 cents in the L.A. area after the minimum wage increase, so basically nothing. In-N-Out was already starting new employees over $20 an hour so not much an effect. In-N-Out is cheap for what you get.
It supposedly had to do with beef prices as well rather than the fast food bill
Still cheaper and tastier than McDonald’s 😋🤤

Same price in the valley...
Together we stand 😂
McDonalds is still more expensive. Quarter pounder medium combo runs $14 at my nearest location and doesn’t taste half as good as In n Out nor values their employees.
I miss when #1 was $5.95
Let's get you to bed grandpa
👴 2012 mah boi
Same price as San Jose for the past 6 months
$5.55 here in Denver as another data point
Thanks!!
It’s hilarious and a little sad watching some people try and blame this completely on wages when literally all other costs went up as well. You really think increased cost of goods, rent, utilities, and other expenses didn’t play a large part in price increases?
I meam their menu is pretty simple, logistics is likely going to be simpler.
Yum
Yea still significantly cheaper than any other burger joint, and better too. Innnout strives to keep costs as low as possible without going out of business
I mean, considering how well they've done to keep prices down and quality up before, I guess that after a while, the camel's back broke and they had to raise prices. I belive it is still cheaper than McDonald's though.

When it goes up a few dimes it's not as big of an issue where some places are double the prices of where it was just a few years ago
Still the cheapest place to feed a family of 4
Yawwwwp! Less guilt than grabbing a giant pizza too!
Guys try Super duper in Novato. Pretty good burgers and shakes.
Naw not anywhere near as good tbh
That is like a dollar more than Dallas, TX
Thanks!
[удалено]
Let’s start you a pop up restaurant and make this happen! Where you located? Hahah love the initiative, but the cleanup and prep 🤦🏻♂️
San Jose here, Quarter Pounder meal is 10.29 w/o tax... I'd still take that double double meal for 10.80 any day.
Well worth it!
Bruh this is way way better than any fast food place and it’s still cheaper !
Double double is $5.60 here in south Orange County.
Thanks for data!

Thanks for the data!
It's getting harder to justify going out to eat anymore.
Man… you’re not alone. I swear every time I walk outside the front door, $50 bucks just flies out my pocket with me like a dog that sees another dog running.
Damn over here in IE, it's 5.80
Same prices here in the Central Valley
These prices are cheaper than Sacramento/Elk Grove area.
Thanks for the data 📊
Still cheaper than anywhere else and higher quality food.
Still the best bargain
Remember when Carl's Jr used to make fun of $6 drive thru burgers?
nothing new in the central valley
Thanks for the data
Say it ain’t fookin so
I was going to go to Carl's Jr today// a double western was 9.79. And they're awful. $6 for a good burger is what things are like :-/
Damnnnnn
Bro those prices are great!
IN N OUT is the only burger joint that I get the combo meal. Any place else i just get the burger alone.
Burgers used to be 10 cents. Wtf happened?!
A brand new Ford used to cost $385. wtf happened?!
Labor used to be a one time cost. WTF happened?!
Still a value…
4x4 this week was over $10, I remember they were like $5-6 when I started ordering them. Still best deal in my town when the bars charge $20+ for a hoity toity smash burger
I tried this chain recently for the first time. Left me scratching my head. They were about on the same level as say McDonald’s or Wendy’s. I am baffled why such a cult following. Maybe I went on a bad day?

Yeah, but then you're stuck with InNOut fries...
Ours on the central coast have shot up too, even still the best bang for buck for a good burger around
Dang $6? Delicious burger but habit may take some trips out of me now
Still the lesser of all evils but a meal that would cost my family 30-38 bucks at in n out became like 52-59 in current times
And $85 at Chic-fil-A...
Bring your own drink!
Creeping up. Someday it’s going to be slightly cheaper than the most expensive places
Off topic but if Innout can afford to sell burgers at this price, doesn't that mean that we're being lied to about all the other corporations needing to charge 10+ a burger?
100% yes. You're paying for shareholders to buy their third vacation home this year, not for your burger.
Penny a calorie almost, fucking sick deal on ur calls dawg
I’ll still take 4 doubles animal style and an animal fries $30.74
Oh god $10 double double meals Just kidding those are still the best bang for your bucks when you’re comparing that to the garbage some other fast food places are charging you for more
This is Biden’s America
Yep, and people will still vote for the clown and blame capitalism and greedy corporations. The elites have mastered the art of deception for stupid people

$6 for that smallass burger. i miss when they were 2.50
Lmao this happens every time someone posts a picture or video of “OMG such and such place is SO cheap”, like bro… when you discover something is cheap KEEP IT TO YOUR DAMN SELF. OR THIS WILL HAPPEN.
Have you seen the price of a McDonald’s regular hamburger. In n out raised their prices by dimes not ten x.
For the price it's worth the quality. Fast food isn't exactly healthy but I reckon a double double is healthier than a Big Mac lol (and still cheaper)
The cheeseburger meal is 35 cents more than what I paid in the west San Fernando Valley last week.
Still worth it and cheaper than a big mac
Good quality, good value...and they manage to value their employees.....it CAN be done!!
Didn't know in n outs were still open in the east bay
Leave your house for a change 😂 what an ignorant thing to say
haven’t had ino in a while and im kinda mad the prices look like this. not complaining I will still buy just mad..😫😂
Ever since my beloved 193 closed down I only get INO like once a month. Back then, id go more often bc of how close 193 was to my house 😭😭😭
Well yeah you guys keep voting blue
That’s NOT just the Bay Area FYI that’s all California locations has NOTHING to do with that. Just make sure to think the Democrats if you are one don’t complain because your governor is the one to blame.
Minimum wage hike that involved govt, unions, and non-disclosure agreements
People know why they are just afraid to say it lmao
Thought the price hike was due to the new minimum wage
They are but some people didn’t take economics in school 😂🤣
It blows my mind how a business like in-n-out can pay a living wage (and a lot of times even more. Ex. In n out manager 100k McDonalds 48k) , serve “fresh” & “real” food, hardly raise their prices ever, and they still make a handsome profit. Meanwhile McDonalds, taco bell, jack in the box, etc are doubling their prices while paying the bare minimum while serving chemicals to their Customers and they bitch about “inflation” and “it’s hard to find anyone who wants to work anymore”.
They been up here in L.A ...the #2 with chilicheese fries comes out to 16
Gotta love Utah/Nevada prices
And the burgers are smaller the meat patties used to fill out the bun now they’re like a 1/4 inch on one side from filling out the buns
Still not bad at all
Have to with fast food working thinking it’s a career job wanting to have 20.00 hr+ minimum wage
Just matching inflation rates I bet
I imagine the other nearby burger joints have their doubles starting at 7.99 for the burger only, and 13.99 to make it a meal.
That’s what happens when people scream for minimum wage to be increased
Someone has to pay for the wage increases in Ca.
Not bad, I think your double double is only $.50 more than here just outside of Austin, TX.
Crazy is that it’s $6 for a double double and also a double cheeseburger at McDonald’s. One comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and special sauce and the other just meat and cheese… oh and a couple of onions with a spritz of ketchup .
They closed the Oakland location to artificially inflate the supply and demand /s
Dude idk for me in n out and panda express price wise are SOO GOATED BRO
How much does a quarter pounder cost there?
I’m so glad their fries are ass and I only go for a double double and nothing else. Has always saved me money
There's a McDonald's right next to my in n out and if it isn't busy I'll dip next door for fries and coke 😁 Besides, little man goes nuts when he sees the happy meal box
We can feed like five people for damn near the price of one person at like farmer bros or five guys (haven’t been to a five guys in a while actually)
My usual is a number one and 2 double doubles. Bout 25$
You call that an increase? Order a Big Mac meal from McDonald’s and you’ll spend 2 meals on this menu
Fuck you, I want it that price
That’s a dollar cheaper than mine
Let me find out you’re in Tracy calling it east bay smh
Compared to a Big Mac, I’ll pay that price any day.

Blame the BLM movement. Ever since then, their community has been acting out. You still have boatloads of great black people. It’s just the bad bunch that makes any ethnicity look bad.
They’ll be McDonald’s in a couple years, at least we got to enjoy them in the heyday
Its that $15/hr min wage
That’s ok In n out is ass anyway.
Brooo, you did not go into and in n out sub to say this 🤦🏻♂️
I opened a sub that Reddit suggested and made a comment. 🤷♂️ and yes, in and out is ass. Elevate your taste.
Wait until you find out In N Out has been paying over $20 an hour in California for years. I know it doesn't suit your narrative, but you're wrong 😊
lol loser
They thought they’d get paid more money and prices would be the same. Thats not how it works. Companies have to make more profit so they raise their prices. It’s an endless one up competition that you’ll never win.
