That's an amazing transformation from such simple changes. I would have thought you did a lot more than you actually did. I had to swipe back and noticed that most of what you had originally was still there but it looks really differently overall. Great job!
I cleaned one side of the room before getting paranoid about cleaning with chemicals cuz I’m pregnant so I stopped lol. In the last pic you can see that the grout by the sink is still dirty
Haha. It’s not a good use of space in the house though. Eventually (in like five years) we want to make it into an office and build a smaller bathroom elsewhere.
Lol seriously why isn't this taught?? My mom didn't tell us about this and i only found out a few years ago that particles in the toilet get shot up when you flush, so now i always close it before flushing. So gross
I see so many pics of towels put over the toilet or toothbrushes and all i can think of is poo particles on everything
It is very odd lol. We want to make it into an office down the road. My understanding is this is part of an addition (which started out as a bathroom), which makes it even weirder.
I started using Zep grout cleaner and it was working very well but I stopped after doing just a small area (near the tub) but did not finish because I’m pregnant and paranoid about the chemicals
Beautiful! I’d consider pulling off the existing mirror trim and trimming it out with white wood to match the windows — to bring the sharpness and brightness all the whiteness the rest of the way around the room. Or, I’d stop the dark green paint at the wall where the mirror is (paint the mirror wall white to match the ceiling) so the green has a clean, unfussy, and spacious end point. It’s a little busy in that corner since you’re having to deal with an odd architectural detail.
K I'm gonna get nit picky because literally this is gorgeous.
Iron your outer shower curtain. It's giving college dorm room curtain vibes with that just out of package creasing going on there. Against such a pretty room it's kinda spoiling it. Loooovee the wall color!
Maybe. Depends on the fabric. Some aren't really heavy enough to pull them straight, and the creases have been in them for soooo long. But you're not wrong that you could leave it for a while and if it steams, great. And if not, then whip out the ol iron.
I'd be so terrified to be seen using the toilet that my butthole would figuratively collapse like a dying star and then turn into a supernova.
It was much funnier in my head. Sorry about that.
Oh wow!! I never would have even thought to use black paint but that looks fantastic it instantly looks more modern and chic and I also love the new shower curtain and the lights and the picture! This group is fantastic! It’s so good to get other peoples opinions and suggestions!
Great work, but why did they design a bathroom with such huge windows at street level, you need to have the blinds down so much for privacy that you don't get the benefit of the light. So strange never really seen a bathroom in this type of location.
It looks amazing!!!! To offer some unsolicited advice, but there are blinds out there than can open from the top down, so you can have some toilet privacy (great call hiding it with the plant!) And steaming the shower curtains to get rid of the wrinkles will really clean it all up.
GREAT color choices all around! You have a fantastic eye!
I saw a few comments asking how to clean grout. Getting on the floor with a toothbrush and cleaner can kill your knees and back, not to mention it can take forever. An alternative is to call a carpet cleaning company and see if they clean grout. Lots of them do. They basically use a steamer like they do on carpets, and the results are wonderful.
Came out amazing !! Can you out the toilet seat down lol actually a Feng shui concept and it's considered bad energy flow to keep it up. All those greens are so inviting!!
This is SUCH a good change. Thank you for not painting everything white and gray, too. This looks both cozy and classy and the color really elevates the space.
What did you do to the floor, looks amazing! Did you go over the grout with a white paint pen or is this just scrubbing? Any products you recommend? Mine looks like the before and I’d love for it to look like the after lol
Looks much better, what a difference paint makes! I do prefer the before shower curtain though. And it'd be nice to see a different faucet and cabinet door knobs, they seem dated. And a new floor register goes a long way. Nice job!
Big difference with small changes, nice work.
Some ideas for next steps:
1) Changing sink is hard to do without changing counter as cut-outs can vary widely. You change counter, you mess with wall wainscot tile.. cue can of worms.
I'd update faucet instead to something a tad more modern that matches new pulls.
2) 1 sided mirror tint for windows is a great idea, and/or get cleaner looking top down/bottom up shades so you can customize privacy while still letting in light.. maybe roman style in natural linen.
3) Make some custom open shelves (with full back/sides) for the triangle cut out on right side, stained to match existing vanity. Good place for hand and bath towels or decorative baskets for extra storage.
4) The mirror could be smaller, make a frame for a plain piece of glass to match vanity while you're making the shelves.
Thank you for the suggestions. I meant faucet, not sink, my bad. Beyond that I’ve probably reached my limit with how much more effort and money I’m willing to spend on this (rest of house is a mess too and I’m about to have a baby) but I appreciate the ideas!
I have no idea why people always take photos with the lid up. The lid exists for a reason, when you are not using the toilet THE LID IS DOWN because nobody wants to see inside.
That's an amazing transformation from such simple changes. I would have thought you did a lot more than you actually did. I had to swipe back and noticed that most of what you had originally was still there but it looks really differently overall. Great job!
Same! Has the grout already been cleaned because it looks a lot whiter?!
The light beige might bring out the yellow/dingy tones in the tiles, whereas the darker color might distract from it
I cleaned one side of the room before getting paranoid about cleaning with chemicals cuz I’m pregnant so I stopped lol. In the last pic you can see that the grout by the sink is still dirty
What did you use to clean the grout? That’s an amazing cleanup!
Omg. That giant window right next to your toilet 🤣😅 Love the new colors, though. Looks so great with the contrast.
I would love that, I could be doing my business and still yell at my husband to use the basket when mowing the lawn (our biggest conflict these days)
LOL
Wow or Woah! A bay window in the bathroom! 🤣🤣
It looks great.
Wow that wall color completely changed the way those cabinets look!!! I had to double check that they were indeed the same. Amazing job!
Did the same with the tile. It looks so much better.
Love the dark green! This is a beautiful bathroom! Great job
I thought it was black paint. Either way, looks great! Very sharp.
Oops the black paint
It is a very dark green!
I absolutely 😍
Holy smokes it really pops and looks fresh. Great job.
Your bathroom is bigger than my apartment.
Haha. It’s not a good use of space in the house though. Eventually (in like five years) we want to make it into an office and build a smaller bathroom elsewhere.
I audibly said, “Oh my gosh.” It looks amazing! Wow! The space really looks transformed.
Close the lid. Thank you. Great job.
Always with the open lid!!!! Drives me nuts.
Lol seriously why isn't this taught?? My mom didn't tell us about this and i only found out a few years ago that particles in the toilet get shot up when you flush, so now i always close it before flushing. So gross I see so many pics of towels put over the toilet or toothbrushes and all i can think of is poo particles on everything
It’s ok there are still poo particles on everything even if you close the lid and have the towel further away.
NOOOOOOOOOO
Love it! Love all the green accents. The contrast of the paint with the tiles looks very classy.
A little paint goes a long way
I’m stunned, strong work!
How to do the most with less 👍🏽 I dig it
Was this room previously a livingroom? The large bay window in a bathroom is very odd.
It is very odd lol. We want to make it into an office down the road. My understanding is this is part of an addition (which started out as a bathroom), which makes it even weirder.
I like it. It looks great! The bold dark really makes the white stand out.
What color is that on your walls? Looks great! You have a lot of interesting angles in there.
Black Forest Green from Benjamin Moore! One of my fav paint colors.
Love it!!!!
Forget the update. How did you get the grout so clean?!
I started using Zep grout cleaner and it was working very well but I stopped after doing just a small area (near the tub) but did not finish because I’m pregnant and paranoid about the chemicals
It looks a lot whiter though!
Yeah, the zep is very effective! If you look at the last pic you can see the grout on that side of the room (by the sink) is still very dark/dirty
Wow!! What a dramatic change, you have some hella style!!🌹❤️
This is great. Love that before cabinet color! Glad you kept it.
Why does everyone take pictures of their bathroom with the toilet seat up? Is there a reason?
Because it’s irrelevant to the before and after transformation.
It's only a seat if it's down, also, no one knows who 'went' before them
Love how your updates let the wood really shine
Looks amazing!
I actually think your first shower curtain would work super well with the upgrade. It’s cute and the colors tie in with the wall
Agreed, the creasing on the new one looks a bit cheap.
It is a cheap shower curtain lol might upgrade it eventually but not going back to the old one which was not my taste.
Genius
What an upgrade a little paint can cause!
Change the blinds maybe?
Wow!!!
Looks fabulous!
Wonderful and stately!

Looks great!
This is honestly the coolest bathroom I’ve ever seen, including the shape and the windows! Nice job!!
Change the floor grates out for new ones! Small change but it will make a difference here.
Wait one second here… the BATHROOM has a BAY WINDOW!? I’ve never seen this?
Looks great.. But I'd get some widow tint done, so you can see out nobody can see in since these windows look eye level... ;)
So pretty!
This is really great. You worked with what you have rather than against it, and it looks awesome!
Close the damn lid
K I'm gonna get nit picky because literally this is gorgeous. Iron your outer shower curtain. It's giving college dorm room curtain vibes with that just out of package creasing going on there. Against such a pretty room it's kinda spoiling it. Loooovee the wall color!
I use a steamer on my shower curtain. It always elevates the look.
Literally the only time you can get away without ironing is with a shower curtain. Those creases will steam out in no time.
Maybe. Depends on the fabric. Some aren't really heavy enough to pull them straight, and the creases have been in them for soooo long. But you're not wrong that you could leave it for a while and if it steams, great. And if not, then whip out the ol iron.
I wouldn’t iron it because it’s a little plasticky but I’m hoping it’ll decrease with use.
Wow, looks great! But I think my butt would collapse in on itself before going supernova if I had to use that toilet!
Fascinating
I’m confused lol what do you mean?
I'd be so terrified to be seen using the toilet that my butthole would figuratively collapse like a dying star and then turn into a supernova. It was much funnier in my head. Sorry about that.
Oh wow!! I never would have even thought to use black paint but that looks fantastic it instantly looks more modern and chic and I also love the new shower curtain and the lights and the picture! This group is fantastic! It’s so good to get other peoples opinions and suggestions!
It looks really good! The colors add dimension. Nicely done :)
Really nice, love the green color
Love the green walls but I miss the floral shower curtain. Green and gold would have been a beautiful combination. The mint is meh...
Love it! Love the transformation with just some paint! I also think your windows are amazing. Nice job!
Wow. Amazing what a good paint selection and few other things can transform a space!
This is some nice renovation. Kudos
Looks great! Good work.
beautiful 🤌🏽
Honestly this looks absolutely lovely amazing job. I would definitely spend a lot of time in my phone there 🤣 It’s so calming
Love!
It's beautiful
Super cute budget friendly reno!
well executed, though a bit more window that I would like in a bath
It's gorgeous! Great job.
Beautiful!!
Well done! Looks great!
wow. the new light choice is great. but also, jealous for the FLF position . it's going to thrive.
Love that you kept the cabinet color!
Gorgeous!!
this looks so nice!!
Its really nice. The posters were right. Whatever you used of their input is beautiful.
I like it! Brighter and spacious now
Very nice!
I would get rid of that trashcan, too. Big improvement.
This looks SO NICE
Love, love it. Never would have thought of it but WHAT AN AMAZING TRANSFORMATION!
I’m obsessed with the black and the green together
It’s actually a dark green!
Oh! Well it looks fabulous
it looks great. awesome job, well done!
I LOVE the black/white contrast. Wow!!! One of my favorite bathroom upgrades I’ve seen. Bravo 🎉
Total transformation! Very nice!
Awesome job
You got two windows in a bathroom? I’m jelly.
love all the windows and angles in your bathroom
Great job!
Awesome job
Love it.
Wow 🤩
Emerald green shower curtain
I LOVE it!!!
Nicely done!
Wish you would’ve put the before and after side by side, just sayin.
I like it. Can the plant go on the window sill?
The amount of windows in this bathroom is marvelous! So beautiful! Wonderful transformation!!!
Thanks for leaving the seat up. 🙄
I did it just to personally offend you
You nailed it with that dark paint colour! Wow!
Great work, but why did they design a bathroom with such huge windows at street level, you need to have the blinds down so much for privacy that you don't get the benefit of the light. So strange never really seen a bathroom in this type of location.
Yes it’s very odd!
So many toilet seats up on this site.
You have a fantastic eye!
looks like shit lol
oh so cozy!
Wow that looks so good 👏🏻 love what you did there, hellova upgrade 👌🏻
Not the reflection with the update 😂
Looks stunning

That was a wow update! Congrats!!
So beautiful! That is an amazing transformation!
Why have you got a lid on your toilet?
It’s gorgeous!
Absolutely gorgeous! Please share when it's done, I would love to see the final product!!
Came out amazing !! Can you out the toilet seat down lol actually a Feng shui concept and it's considered bad energy flow to keep it up. All those greens are so inviting!!
Looks great, plus I love all your windows.
The change in paint really makes the floor look better!
Bring back the old curtain!
This is SUCH a good change. Thank you for not painting everything white and gray, too. This looks both cozy and classy and the color really elevates the space.
Awesome. The stripe pops!
I really don’t like the black trend, but this is gorgeous and well-done.
It’s dark green actually :) but thank you!
That must be why I like it!
Love it.
1000% better. Congrats.
It looks so homey and cozy! I really love the plant, it’s perfect where it is
😍 Well done!
Great job. Looks like a brand new bathroom and it doesn’t look like you spent a lot of money.
This is great but instead of cleaning the tiles I would replace them with woodlook tiles. Tile floors in general tend to end up looking outdated.
Love seeing a transformation that compliments the features with character instead of working against it/tearing it out. Wonderful job
BRAVO! Simple and an amazing result!
What did you do to the floor, looks amazing! Did you go over the grout with a white paint pen or is this just scrubbing? Any products you recommend? Mine looks like the before and I’d love for it to look like the after lol
I used Zep grout cleaner!
Looks amazing!
You have done well!!!
I loveeeee it! Absolutely love it. Good job.
Bravo!
Ooh baby I love all that storage!
Styling note: don’t take pics with the toilet lid up
Huge improvement. It wasn't bad before but it looks amazing now.
I love your paint color! It looks awesome in this space!
This looks sooo good!
Looks fabulous!
That looks fantastic!

It looks so fresh now. 😍
Sweet!!! I love a dramatic bathroom!
This is crazy beautiful!! I don't know about the rest of you but I am absolutely sick to death of beige and tan. You did such a fabulous job!
Right?! And is that black paint?? So daring and edgy but BEAUTIFUL! Especially with the soft turquoise!
Beautiful changes! Alhumdulillah a completely new space.
I also love the plant
You changed the toilet seat, thank goodness. My first thought was gotta change that toilet seat lid pow go! It is a whole different vibe.
😍 L. O. V. E. 😍
I absolutely love the bathroom. Awesome job!!!
I don’t really like the change but you’re styles youre style.
Looks great, and you did some fine work here. But I’m sure I’m not the only one who came here to say… Please put the lid down when you take photos!
Very nice
That looks so nice!!
Beautiful!
It’s amazing!!!!😻
Wow, amazing job!
Amazing job, it looks amazing!
O love the green.
Nice!!
Looks great!! Totally changed the 'feel' of the room.
Wow. Thats an amazing difference.
Looks 90s
