To be fair it was a theory that they never got to test out. If they started the process and Kikyo thought it wasn’t going to work she would have just taken it back. Can’t blame someone for hoping this would literally end the corruption and evil the jewel brought on.

Woah, I thought it was a possibility at least, though I disagreed with her on the idea that the jewel would disappear afterwards. I had thought that, if it would have made him human, it would also have a negative flip side that would make him most likely to die, to like demons or whatever. It grants wishes so I think its plausible, just the jewel doesn't let the wisher... like, live happily. Like a Jin or evil Genie

Agree. I know she was a teenager and all, but she can't have believed that a jewel who only brought evil along with it would help Inu in a good way.
