iPad 10 is an excellent device. It is designed specifically for your use case. I would recommend getting it over the 9 since it has the new design and will likely feel newer for longer. USB C is really nice as well.
(My only regret is that I won't get Apple Intelligence on it. Since I only use it for reading, watching content, and taking notes, I think I'll be fine without it.)
Yeah I got the 10 too and wish it had Apple Inteliggence as well. But frankly i realized id be using AI more on my laptop (M1 Air) so im glad my laptop mafe the cut instead of my ipad or iphone tbh.
Although the new siri is more appealing on my phone tbf
Hey can you please tell me about the speaker volume of ipad 10. I Just got mine and its speaker output sounds low to me. It's in the same range as that of phone.
And when I lower its volume to 75 to 80% it's not that much audible.

The speakers aren't the top of the line or anything but they aren't quiet. If you have a place with iPad 10 on display, maybe try going there and testing them.
tbh, for your current use case, you won’t be missing out on much. You can expect it to last you a good 4-5 years but as you know, it probably won’t be getting much AI related, but the iPad 10 should serve you very well for what you described.

I think ipad 10 will be for u nice choice, u will get visible upgarde compared to 6 (9 will be in some ways too but its almost same design and i think some bigger screen, touch id on lock button, better reproductors..). So its like in middle between 9 and air models. I dont think basic user will notice so much difference between ipad 10 and air anyway. I owned 9 and now i have 10 (i give 9 to my mother).
The 10th gen is a great iPad and definitely will serve you well for the next 5 years, for the price difference you aren’t missing out on much, Apple AI, but that has already been delayed till next year anyway, and I figure eventually AI will trickle down to the non M series as technology gets better and trained, so I wouldn’t worry about the AI stuff, I know I love my 10th gen and it will get all the other iPad OS 18 updates
Only thing is having to plug the Apple Pencil in for note taking, which is mostly just a convince feature since the air has wireless charging for the pen.
