Jokes aside that’s the shape that it takes when you authenticate with Face ID, I would suggest going into an app that triggers it, or just go into settings and passwords and that will trigger the Face ID authentication animation as well. If not a good ol restart will fix it

Computers are good at keeping track of information, but occasionally something just gets put in the wrong place and the system gets confused.
