ATSS is probably in my five favorite Maiden songs. Beginning is a little too slow for most but the guitar melodies and solos are top shelf. Probably my greatest Maiden live experience was seeing their debut show of the Maiden England tour in 2012. They played ATSS out of fucking nowhere, one of those songs I figured I’d never get to see live.

Crusty_Loafer

Thats pretty cool. I love when a band whips out a deep cut out of nowhere at the live show.

I love Darkest Hour, but I'm going with Afraid to Shoot Strangers. I love the guitar melodies in that song and the absolute shredding solos. Amazing song.

Ordinary_Wasabi_8836

"Afraid..." Because it's one of the best songs from their last truly vital album from their classic days.

metal_acid

Would you like me to pick my favorite child as well?

System777

Yes.

ItsrealNate

Atss is so good, I love all these but the atmosphere atss has is amazing, great riffs and lyrics. I even love the blaze Bailey music video. Such an underrated song

mrgadd4

Wasting Love and Darkest Hour are both pretty lacklustre, boring and poorly written, in my opinion. ATSS is a very average song, but looks incredible compared to these two.

bbacconnn

I love the one about the introverted photographer

collin82202

ATSS, because it’s the only salvageable song here.

System777

:(

collin82202

Yeah I just do not care for the other two. Darkest hour is probably a bottom 3 post-reunion song, and nearly everything off FOTD is a stinky pile of poo in my opinion.

Skekdal

ATSS absolutely phenomenal song its great with Bruce and i like the Blaze version on visions of the beast. Great dual guitars on this, amazing solos and just an amazing song to be honest. Although i really like Wasting Love its a damn fine ballad except that god awful version on a real live one that is horrific.

charliezulu880

Afraid, two of the best guitar melodies maiden has ever had. Just. So. Good.

marlonizer

ATSS, amazing track. One of the best melodies, wonderful solo section and beautiful lyrics

Jobless_Monkey

It’s Wasting love for me. I have a special place in my heart for this song. It was one of my dads favorite maiden songs so it has that value for me.

GiaNcomo6669

I have to go with Darkest Hour because of its unique style and the lyrics are really emotional. And the solos are amazing (the lick from Coming Home too)

Doomguy1234

I really liked Darkest Hour but it’s probably not as good as Afraid To Shoot Strangers.

HotPotatoWithCheese

Darkest Hour is already one of their most underrated songs. For me it's the Senjutsu equivalent of Empire of the Clouds and WTWWB in that it gets me emotional. Might not be that important for people outside of the UK but as Brit Winston Churchill is one of my heroes despite his flaws. It's something me and Bruce have in common.
