You can get them from vork/rune dragons, you don't have to craft them.100kc at vork should net you a few hundered and its only 1 rune per 3 bone/ashes.
Prayer pots aren't scarce or worth going out of your way to save, but:

Personally, I was already using demonic offering on cerb for the extra prayer points and prayer xp as I am already using thralls and death charges, so it only cost one inventory spot.
This tech could effectively save you a ppot dose on every single kill and is honestly a huge trip extender. But by all means, go do another farm run if that's what you prefer.
As an iron you'll be doing farm runs forever. They're required. Pray pots will always be required.
I'm not arguing the point of "saving a pot" but saving time it takes to obtain a sustainable amount of wraths vs prayer pots.
You go kill vorkath every time you want to kill cerb though.

But if you are like me and own a ZCB and/or like killing Vorkath (I find it enjoyable with Serp Helm+Lance+DFS+BGS), you want to upkeed your Dragon Bolts somehow. You also profit many resources from a few dozen Vork kills, and a chance to andecebt looking pet. And the uniques are super cool too, even though they are mostly useless, at least for now.
As you may be aware, when you're at less than 30 prayer points, the ghost will take whatever you have remaining - you don't need the full 30 to avoid damage. Ideally you sit just above 60 prayer, so that when the ghost special happens you lose 30, then 30, then only 1 - 5.
OP is sitting instead above 30. He loses 30, then ~9 on the second ghost (bringing him to 0), then casts demonic offering for a single prayer point (it restores 1 prayer point per ash offered) which he promptly loses to the 3rd ghost. Thus instead of losing 60 - 70 prayer to the ghosts, he loses 30 - 40.
First ghost hits him from 40 to 10 prayer, second from 10 to 0, then he uses demonic offering which gives him 1 prayer point, then the third ghost hits him from 1 to 0. Not sure if it’s consistent, I feel like piety could drain that 1 point before the damage comes through
I just got off a cerb task and noticed that infernal ashes actually give 2 points each instead of the usual 1. It should remove the risk of running of that prayer before the ghost attacks.
It would but this method is nice because it “saves” one dose of prayer potion per use so it extends your trip. If you’re having trouble figuring out the timing you can look at your magic book to see when you can’t use thralls anymore and then switch prayers.That helped me figure out the timing
It’s definitely not the most efficient strat, but if you’re low on prayer pots or don’t want to deal with ghosts than it’s an option. Especially if doing cerb before a spectral. It was the difference between me skipping bloodhounds at early slayer levels.
It’s a method where you set a timer when you start the cerb kill, I set my timer for 56 seconds (from when she is able to be attacked and clicked) then you stop attacking and don’t bring her health under 400 until after the timer expires.
It means sometimes you have to wait there for 20-30 seconds until the timer expires if you get her too close to 400 health too early. So because of this downtime I bring a guthans set switch will do less damage but also heals you between kills while waiting for the timer.
This way you have slightly slower kills, but you use hardly any prayer and you get extended trips from the guthans heals and you never have to deal with the ghosts at all.
I suppose this may be useful for irons but considering the ashes from cerb are worth something like 4.5k each that's the cost of 2 doses of ppot pretty much.

Way more practical to stew boost from 90/91 RC and use scarred extracts to make thousands of wraths in one go.
I don't think any account having 90 rc is practical.
Or... Plant some Ranarr's and carry on with your day while Ppots zero time themselves.
