Yes, but they’re who is being paid to be out here, hence the statement. I’m aware the damage is realistically coming out of their, or their insurance company’s pocket
Were you as worried about the tax payer when the governor was shipping humans from Texas to other states? Atleast this is money staying in Florida lmao
We get it, you hate the gov. As someone who was a contractor, this will be entirely on them to pay and fix. And since it's right on the river, it'll go right back into the water table. I respect the fury, turn it on City Council though.
Where did I ever state that I hate the government? I have no particular hate towards the government as a whole. I don’t like some people in it but that’s not really relevant here, you’re really just making stuff up here.
Not sure but I dont think that's how the water table works. That water is going to flow into the St Johns and dump into the Atlantic a few miles down stream not replenish the aquifer, right?

Update photo of the street to support what I’m saying
What are they building here? I thought the Lerp statue and high rise building plans were scrapped and it was back to the drawing board? I figured it would stay a lawn for concerts and events for the near future…
Keep dreaming it’s the longest ongoing joke in this city they’ll do everything EXCEPT the logical attraction which is an AQUARIUM on the ONLY exit of the St John’s
Tax dollars are meant to support public infrastructure and community projects just like this. Accidents happen, and while a broken pipe is unfortunate, it doesn’t negate the overall benefits of the project. Criticizing the workers doesn’t help; they’re out there in tough conditions, doing a necessary job.
The contractor, Haskell, will be on the hook to repair the pipe, not taxpayers...

Feels like the contractor is to blame not necessarily the local government
If you know anything about contractors, they will try and do everything they can to recoup that loss by project’s end.
Kinda a silly statement.
Then why make a post with the headline about "tax dollars" other than to rile people up... makes no sense

This just took a crazy turn and is completely unrelated. If you must know I was very appalled by that, and in no way support Desantis.
The fact this got so many downvotes show how toxic Reddit is. The karma system is a joke
Thanks for making me feel less crazy lol
Watering Lenny’s Lawn
I guess they didn't call 811 before digging lol
Guess not…my work is losing water now from it
Shit happens
Not when the water is out
haha downvote
Haskell will find a way to change order it back to the city.

I mean you made a whole post hating on the government
Seeking accountability for taxes is not hating. You either don't pay taxes or don't know that taxes can be mispent.
It’s all public information this information isn’t being hidden from you
So if it's not a big deal HOW IS IT HATING lol
Because it isn’t taxpayer dollars fixing this. Are you new to government?
They better not let all that turbid water go straight into the river
I agree, however I expect the worst.

Oo
Just googled it, apparently this happened Sunday and was already fixed.
Considering I’m actively watching the street flood this is happening right now. I’m not aware of anything yesterday.

Odd... wonder what the hell they screwed up yesterday then. 🤣

It’s going to be a plaza/park area with a coffee shop in it last I saw from the city.
Hopefully it has more to generate revenue for the city than a coffee shop.
They probably gonna debate what it will be for the next ten years
Probably building up our hopes again. Guaranteed to get disappointed.
See even nature is proving we need an aquarium
I can’t wait for this! Super excited for the aquarium to come
Keep dreaming it’s the longest ongoing joke in this city they’ll do everything EXCEPT the logical attraction which is an AQUARIUM on the ONLY exit of the St John’s
What a bunch of morons.
Username checks out
Well, that's... uhh... that's construction. Shit happens.

So we are not supposed to say anything when people do dumb things anymore?
Is that where the landing was? I though they turned it into a park...what are they working on?
They are working on building the park/plaza thing
LERP becoming SLURP
Be lucky its not what happened in Atlanta last week.
Boyd Construction strikes again
You can't fix what ain't broken.
I believe it happened 6/10 around 3pm
Not to brag, but I can break things for free.
Is that one riverside? What site is that
If you can do better by all means grab a shovel and get at it… oh wait you would rather take photos of someones shit day
Homeless need green grass also
You never worked with your hands before have you ?
Nope, never used my hands once in my life. I work using telekinesis actually 🧠
That makes sense, carry on.
Someone didn’t call “before you dig”
Should've grabbed a couple buckets of water to maximize tax dollars lol
