The two I really would love to see at desert sessions are Jack white and Jonny Greenwood for sure. It’s one of those things that would be amazing just to happen once.
You may be right but they both said on Josh’s Alligator Hour that they would hang out a lot more if they weren’t living on separate coasts. I saw the LA Raconteurs show where they brought out Josh as a guest and it was killer, they all seemed like they had a blast. I know getting in the studio and actually recording is a whole other beast entirely though.
Paul McCartney. I loved Jack's rendition of "Mother Nature's Son"/"That Would Be Something" that he performed in front of McCartney. I think the two would sound great together.
Fr tho, that would be exciting and a nice way to bury the hatchet…but yeeeeah never gonna happen lol
FWIW my dream concert lineup would be Auerbach, White, and Brittany Howard (with any project they’re working with at a given time).
Yeah, Pat has produced one of Jack’s ex’s records lol but those two seem cool now. Jack and Dan…not so much? At a minimum, it seems like they just don’t deal with each other.
There’s obviously the stuff Jack emailed his wife about their kids attending the same school that became public during their divorce proceedings (ironically the same ex Pat produced a record for). The only thing I’ve ever heard Dan say about it — and he said so this year fwiw — is that a record exec from their label at the time invited him to join a recording session at Jack’s house for some band they had affiliations with and, while on his way, the exec called him back and said not to come because Jack didn’t want him there.
So I feel like beef is still simmering below the surface at least a little bit with Jack and Dan, but the beef always felt petty in the first place imo.
Edit for clarity: originally the exec said “Jack’s studio” which Dan didn’t realize was his house until the exec called him back telling him not to come.
Kevin Parker. They both quite frankly sing about love . “Slow rush “ and “Boarding house reach” are very similar with how experimental both albums are for Jack White and Tame Impala.! And both used bongos .
Eta : if SOPHIE was alive , would be interesting to see what the two would have come up with .
I feel like seeing a weird instrumental style project that highlights guitar riffs with him and Jimmy Page would be cool. It might get loud def put that idea in my head.
Me haha or…. seeing Jack White & Dolly Parton duet would be fun. i Love his version of Jolene. So let’s go to where the islands in the stream meet Lazaretto. ✨🤍✨
Beck.
Yes, I know about the song they did with Jack playing bass.
I want them to try again.
I'd also love to hear Jack's guitar playing with Fiona Apple's growl singing. I'd kill for that.
Also, St V because of course.
As big of a big rock (and just guitars) fan as I am, there NEEDS to be an Eminem/Jack White collab. Or at least get Jay-Z off his ass and collab with Jack like they had talked about a long time ago
Meg White
* cries * please don’t :(. Hope she is happy and doing what she loves .
Who is that?
His sister
That makes sense. It would be funny if she was his wife.
Ikr, it's not like they met at the Memphis Smoke
Josh Homme and Jack would be insane.
I'm really hoping Jack goes to one of Josh's Desert Sessions. That has been a dream of mine for a while.
I’d always thought a co-headlining tour would be the end-all show. But yeah, imagine him on DS.
Was literally going to comment this. I feel like Desert Sessions is the best opportunity for a Josh and Jack collab
The two I really would love to see at desert sessions are Jack white and Jonny Greenwood for sure. It’s one of those things that would be amazing just to happen once.
I've never considered Greenwood before, but I totally agree.
There’s so much cross pollination there already that he’d lock in pretty well imo.
This was my first thought. They already have shared custody of Dean Fertita, so getting Jack and Josh to collab doesn't seem like that big a stretch.
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/see-josh-homme-join-raconteurs-for-blue-veins-via-surreptitiously-fan-shot-footage-864600/
Josh did appear at the end of the Freedom at 21 video, if that counts!
Would love it, for some reason I think their egos would make it tough
You may be right but they both said on Josh’s Alligator Hour that they would hang out a lot more if they weren’t living on separate coasts. I saw the LA Raconteurs show where they brought out Josh as a guest and it was killer, they all seemed like they had a blast. I know getting in the studio and actually recording is a whole other beast entirely though.
Just pulled that up, can’t believe I’ve never seen that before. Just creamed my jeans, thank you.
That is what they’ve said. They tried it before and the clash of styles didn’t work out.
Really??? I was not aware of that, not unexpected but a bummer nonetheless
Totally agree. Not saying anything bad but they’re both alphas, that usually does not pan out
Speaking of Josh Homme are you familiar with the song he did for the movie Hot Rod under the moniker of Gown?
Dude yes! I remember seeing the movie like 7 years ago and almost dropping my drink when I saw him
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3Li9wi9lpEg Wish this was a full album
They've played together before
Playing together and recording together are very different things
This would be my guess, too. Both of these guys are very committed to their own vision.
They have worked together but Josh said it didn’t work out
My dream 🥲
Yeah it would be pretty sick
Saw him jam Blue Veins with the Raconteurs in LA
Ty Segall
1000% percent
Tom Waits
I would love this.
This would make me very happy
I think he would do something very good with Courtney Barnett
Orville Peck
Gary Clark Jr.!! Would be incredible to bring that much power to a track
St. Vincent, 100%
That's exactly what I was going to say. Love them both so much it could be such a cool collab
Michael Stipe. Tori Amos. Pavement. They Might Be Giants. Wilco.
Came to say Tori too! TMBG & Weezer would be fantastic as well.
King gizzard
Dolly Parton. Something acoustic and folky.
The Loretta Lynn album with Jack White produced was great. I think they had a duet on one song. Van Lear rose
Portland, Oregon. It's a fantastic song.
Agreed! So bad ass.
Arctic Monkeys and QOTSA
Brittany Howard, formerly of Alabama Shakes. I have always wanted to see them team up
That 1 guy
Weeeeeeeasel poooootttt piiiiiiiiie
Julian Casablancas, Dave Gahan and Nick Valensi
Omar Rodriguez Lopez tbh
Agree about these names, but how about Jack unleashing his weird side with Björk or PJ Harvey?
His voice with PJ Harvey's would sound great together but I don't think she would be interested to collaborate with him.
Les Claypool. Creative guys who are fantastic with their instruments. Tom Morello. Badass guitar for days. Seasick Steve. Slide guitar battle!
He collaborated with Seasick Steve as a part of the Dead weather. He was drumming. https://youtu.be/H6LeM4K3uOE?si=-WSlGGswcK2tA_Ug
Les would be awesome
Nick Cave
Kendrick Lamar (even tho they already kinda did on the final tribe album)
Might get some blowback on this one but Lana Del Rey
That would be a perfect fit
She desperately needs to collab with someone other than Jack A. Upgrade to Jack W.
As a fan of both, this would make me so happy. Maybe one day… 🤞
Same! She and Jack could do something like what Billie Joe and Norah did with Foreverly and I could die happy.
My dream collab!!
Buddy Guy, Tony Iommi, Cat Power, Frank Black, Martha Reeves, Bethany Costentino
Neil Diamond
Paul McCartney. I loved Jack's rendition of "Mother Nature's Son"/"That Would Be Something" that he performed in front of McCartney. I think the two would sound great together.
Tbh Dan Auerbach but we all know it’s never gonna happen
Fr tho, that would be exciting and a nice way to bury the hatchet…but yeeeeah never gonna happen lol FWIW my dream concert lineup would be Auerbach, White, and Brittany Howard (with any project they’re working with at a given time).
St Vincent
This, massively.
Jason Isbell.
Little Simz would be a dream
Jack Black
They did!
Isaac Brock/Modest Mouse
Birthday twins
Tom Morello. It’d be a hard day to be a Whammy pedal.
I just had a Guitar Hero flashback, lol
Dan Auerbach lol I bet it would be fire af tbh
If only right lol
Yeah this would be great. Black Keys and White Stripes. Too bad they do t like each other.
Apparently they’ve squashed the beef and Pat comes to Jacks studio in Nashville from time to time but I don’t think they’d work together
Yeah, Pat has produced one of Jack’s ex’s records lol but those two seem cool now. Jack and Dan…not so much? At a minimum, it seems like they just don’t deal with each other. Ray Davies of the KinKs.
Jesse Welles or Billy Strings
Meg White
I want to see Jack and Lana Del Rey to a cover album like Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones did.
Interpol
Esham, they are both Detroit legends. Also George Clinton, Danny Brown, Trent Reznor and Chino Moreno.
A Portugal the man collab would be crazy!
Spoon
My dream would be the doors. Musically they were so unique and I think the two styles would blend very well.
Jenny Lewis
Jeff Tweedy or Thom Yorke
John Paul White on like a blues/folk album.
Tame Impala
Patti Smith, John Paul Jones, John Cale
PJ Harvey. Mic Drop. 😂
Always thought it would be cool if he did something, anything with the legendary Buddy Guy
Cage the Elephant. Now has this not happened already
Kathleen Hanna, Findlay, Kacey Musgraves, Courtney Barnett or Doja Cat…
Meg White
Meg White.
Eminem
Butch Walker Pony Bradshaw Billy Strings
Brett Dennen. It’s a stretch for both, and that’s why.
Feist.
Kelly Clarkson and/or Pink
Omar Rodriguez Lopez
Hayley Williams/Paramore
Olivia Rodrigo
Mike Patton. I know they’re both extremely different but that’s what would make it interesting.
Newsboys
I feel like seeing a weird instrumental style project that highlights guitar riffs with him and Jimmy Page would be cool. It might get loud def put that idea in my head.
I think Two Feet would be a cool collab
Josh Homme. Cat power.
david lynch

Shirley Manson of Garbage… their voices would be perfect together
The Black Crowes
Shrek.
The Strokes
Brandi Carlisle
Natalia Lafourcade
Eminem
Eminem, especially since he randomly posted a picture of him on Instagram
St. Vincent, Janelle Monáe, Beyoncé again, Jason Isbell, Olivia Rodrigo, Arctic Monkeys, Frank Ocean
Jelly Roll, Billy Eillish, Eminem. Pretty much anyone who is totally different from his genre. I like to see collaboration between divergent acts.
Beck. Yes, I know about the song they did with Jack playing bass. I want them to try again. I'd also love to hear Jack's guitar playing with Fiona Apple's growl singing. I'd kill for that. Also, St V because of course.
Was there for that . It was so awesome . It was a great show too . Forewent a quiceñera to see the white stripes instead . Don’t regret it . \M/
Gorillaz feature
Due to Jack being good at repairs?
Phish
Pearl Jam at Bonnaroo 2016 which I was told was 110% going to happen until a storm rolled through a couple hours before
As big of a big rock (and just guitars) fan as I am, there NEEDS to be an Eminem/Jack White collab. Or at least get Jay-Z off his ass and collab with Jack like they had talked about a long time ago
More Beyonce, please.
Kanye
