There is a rear brake pad issue with these newer jettas. Get it checked out.

amenjah

Unfortunately this is majority the front area I’m hearing this sound. Funny thing is the first thing they did was replace the back pads, even though I mentioned more than twice before they did that it was my front that I was experiencing the problems. But yeah it is most definitely the front brakes area.

amenjah

Idk if the video is available to hear but it’s most definitely the front. Check it out if you can. I’ll accept any guidance here. I also have an appt for this on the 28th hopefully the sound can be duplicated by them

All you can do is take it back again or pay a 3rd party shop that knows VW to diagnose it. My brand new 24 sounds like shit when reversing if it's humid out. IMO these Jetta's just have shitty\\noisy brakes from the factory. Mine leaves crazy amounts of brake dust, especially on the rear.

That’s fucking insane, this makes me miss my 20’ R-Line 10 times more. I never once had a problem with it. All 33k miles I put on it, it was wonderful!

How often you drive this car?

amenjah

Everyday?

amenjah

To and fro work

ijuusst

i think brake calipers?

Take that shit right back to the dealership. Unfortunately Volkswagen dealerships aren't too good at diagnosing the issue as I've had 3 OCU modules failed in my car along with electrical issues galore. They try blaming that my dashcam is the issue which is non sense as my other friend with a 2019 Jetta has the same dashcam installation.

Agile_Black_Squirrel

I would try a different dealership if you have one even remotely nearby. Initiating a buy back will get Volkswagen's attention. They should be able to sort this out for you. It goes without saying that you need to document all communications with the dealership service departments. This will go a long way to getting it either repaired or your buy back.

lolitstrain21

Oh I already did file a buyback and Volkswagen declined it. That's why I went to the state to send out the vehicle defect notice (State of Florida) and now Volkswagen seems to be working now with me but it's definitely been very difficult. It's just been a huge shitshow for me and that's why I encourage everybody who has issues especially huge ones to keep everything documented and file lemon law.

Agile_Black_Squirrel

Not sure about Florida's lemon law, but most states allow you to charge the manufacturer for attorney's fees to resolve buy backs.

lolitstrain21

Yeah they do, I'm probably gonna end up getting my attorney involved. Didn't want to but definitely is probably going to happen. It's so unfortunate cause they could have just had this resolved months ago back in September when I bought it but they haven't solved it.

I’ve experienced the same situation with my 2021 SEL premium ever since I bought it fresh off the lot. Two different dealerships have tried to clean out the brakes, after being told “well…VW doesn’t use asbestos in the brakes anymore and the material is more eco friendly. Even porches make that sound”.

amenjah

That shouldn’t make a difference, it’s to the point where I don’t feel comfortable to drive it bc it’s just sounds like something is either about to clip off or grind to bits
