Your setup sounds similar to mine, I just posted this in another thread so I'll just copy/paste For our at-home practice area I purchased this speaker/monitor that allows up to 3 inputs [https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004VQDAQK](https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004VQDAQK) and 2 of these mics (get a couple 25 ft mic cables too) [https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00TTQM8Z6](https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00TTQM8Z6) Cables ([https://www.amazon.ca/AmazonBasics-Male-Female-Microphone-Cable](https://www.amazon.ca/AmazonBasics-Male-Female-Microphone-Cable)) I just pump the music through my tv that's connected to the stereo speakers and we get great sound. There are cheaper monitors and mics out there but this fit within our budget and is small enough to bring places for parties.

What I like about our mutual setups is that there is no lag since the speakers are exclusively taking the mic signal. I went with the Behringer model I did though because it's brand new, has the newest Bluetooth protocols and probably won't lag. My iPad doesn't have any audio out.
