Did you think **Lost** had a satisfying ending? I am wary of investing hours and hours in a series with a downer (like **The Third Charm**) or nonsensical ending.
It had a gorgeous ending. There are so many scenes in this drama that stick in the mind due to the cinematography and acting. This is one of them. It is not a fluffy ending, not bad ending, and now I don’t want to spoil it. Not many dramas nail the ending to fit with the drama. This did.
- When The Weather is Fine
- Navillera
- Dear My Friends
- Our Blues
- Do You Like Brahms ?
- Live
- The Best Moment To Quit Your Job
- Age of Youth
- Something in The Rain
Yes Dear my friends! A lot of dramas tend to use romance to push the plot forward but face it how many of us really get to experience kdrama romance.
Or use good looking pple
Dear my friends, depict old people, who has lived life and show what life is about
Some of my fav SOL are
\~ If you Wish Upon Me \~ I've watched almost all of JCW's works and this is probably my favourite
\~ The Good Bad Mother

Twenty Five Twenty One —— it is a very ~feels~ heavy show, I recommend watching all of it quickly without big gaps between episodes. Filmed in Jeonju, set in the late 90s early 2000s depicting the nostalgia PERFECTLY, you will get some small town vibes. Both leads are struggling, the plot is very realistic, no over the top bells and whistles, brilliant OST. Supreme writing, direction and acting. Sometimes you will feel like you’re watching a play live in front of you, the characters are fleshed out SO well everything feels 3D. Zero filler scenes, pacing perfectly done + top notch cinematography!! Been 2 years, haven’t come across a drama quite this great
I haven't seen it recommended here but Fight for my way was a great watch. I think it has a lot of the elements you're looking for. The FL has a dream but is directionless, the ML even more so, but they are charming and the supporting cast are great!
There are loads of recommendations here that I haven't seen so thank you everyone for filling out my list!
•The Good Bad Mother
It is a slice of life kdrama. You will definitely watch this. The cast, acting, was so good. Please give it a try. It's about mother-son relationships along with all other emotions.
I forgot to add it to my list because it's been awhile since I watched this but you are absolutely correct. If anyone is looking for similar recommendations about slice of life kdramas, they should definitely give this a try.
You will never be the same after reply 1988. It’s the ultimate people watching, slice of life drama across languages - if you like coming of age stories
I think I forgot to add it to my list but I already watched R1988, ONE OF MY COMFORT KDRAMAS!!!!! I haven't watched the other Reply Series though haha.
I tried watching it before but I wasn't able to get past episode 1, idky huhu. Will try it again later. Is it really good? Have you watched Welcome to Samdalri? Which do you think is better? I saw reviews that they find WTS better than HCCC, but I will find out for myself haha. Thank you for the recommendation 💗
Like Flowers in Sand - Netflix - slice of life in small coastal village where male lead having been a prodigy wrestler as a youth, finds success difficult as an adult, and decides to retire... until a mysterious woman comes to town. Here is a Rolling Stones magazine review - [https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-reviews/like-flowers-in-sand-review-k-drama-netflix-south-korea-ssireum-1234941701/](https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-reviews/like-flowers-in-sand-review-k-drama-netflix-south-korea-ssireum-1234941701/)
**Our Beloved Summer**
Basic plot is when ML/FL were schoolmates, they filmed a documentary together about a top and bottom student who often bickered. After the documentary, they somehow became a couple but eventually broke up and did not contact for 5 years. In current time, their old documentary resurfaced and got viral again. Now they are asked to film a sequel as adults.
This is a childhood friends/enemies/ex to lovers show which is my #1 trope. The show mostly depicts the unresolved feelings/tensions of ML/FL as they are forced to interact again.
**Lovestruck in the city**
Basic plot is ML/FL had a romantic encounter during a beachside vacation. But when they returned to normal life, FL ghosted/avoided ML for reasons. There's no big story as this is quite a character driven show, hence slice of life. There are 2 other secondary couples, all of them with fairly normal careers.
The show has a unique "interview documentary" format which may be off-putting to some, but I think you can just not over analyse the style but focus on the characters.

For simple 4 episode mini series, you can try **Soundtrack #1** and **You Drive Me Crazy**
Thank you! I already watched Like Flowers in the Sand, but I will definitely try When the Camellia Blooms. Is it a happy ending though? I don't want to cry because of a sad ending :((

3. Run on
4. Prison playbook

**Reply 1988** will always be the best slice-of-life Kdrama, for me. Heartwarming story of friendship and found family. You will feel like you’re part of them by the end of the series (may start a little slow for some people but will def have your heart by ep 6).
**Navillera** is also very heartwarming and good story about fulfilling your dreams even at a very old age.
Because this is my first life
So good! 😊
My mister. You'll never be the same after you watch it.
Yup, a masterpiece.
Happy Cake Day! 🎂
IU didn’t talk alot on this kdrama but you can really feel her emotions. She’s really a good actress
I need to watch this. Thank you for the reminder.
Be patient! It took me to episode 7 to be all in! It’s worth it! It really is! 😊
I started it a long time ago but thought it was going to be too stressful. I'll start it again.

Lost Lovestruck in the City.
Lost is my favorite K-drama - so beautifully written and acted. Jeon Do Yeon is such a chameleon.
My favorite too. Everyone in it did a good job, but especially the two leads. And the music and cinematography. Just brilliant.
