I thought it was amazing and I think that video is one of their best. Also sunflower 🌻 is so good!!!

meracdv

not my favorite bsides from them if i’m being honest, a little forgettable, but i do love the title track a lot (i enjoyed chill kill but it took a while to grow on me while this one immediately stuck) and yes, the m/v was gorgeous and all the midsommar references were very interesting

Cutecherryredruby

Love it especially bubble

onlyathenafairy

the harmonies are on point on that song !!

GoldenSunshine747

it’s such a great song

harry_nostyles

Beautiful mv for Cosmic. Seulgi looks VERY happy to sacrifice the girl and it's both funny and creepy lmao. The song itself is great. I feel like the chorus and the bridge are the best parts, the verses are just kind of okay. The bass line (?) saves them from being boring. 9/10 for the mv, 8.5/10 for the song Sunflower is very fun, I like it a lot. It has to be one of the best pure red songs they've released in recent times. 8/10 Last Drop is best appreciated while driving late at night. Listening to it during the day outside a car won't do it any justice. It's one of those songs. 7.5/10 Love Arcade is a bit meh. It doesn't do anything for me. It's not too bad but it doesn't blow my mind either. 5/10 Bubble is gorgeous. It fits the cover pic and those initial teasers really well, better than Cosmic. It has an air of mystery to it. It reminds me of driving on rainbow road in Mario Kart haha. 8/10 Night Drive is competing with Sunflower for my favourite b-side off this mini. It's another song to listen to while driving at night. It's beautiful and delicate, I love their vocals so much. But the chorus sounds a bit like Taylor's Lavender Haze to me😭. Not the instrumentals, just the way they sing that part of the song. That doesn't detract from it's beauty tho. 9/10 Overall score: 8/10 It's a solid mini album through and through.

Zoshi2200

As a reveluv who has been stanning them since debut, I think this song is a bit boring and safe. It's nice but I have already forgotten how the song goes. Also what's up with the sound mixing? They sound overly nasal in the chorus.

purpletulip12

I noticed the sound mixing too... (but I've been saying this about multiple SM songs the past couple years).

Zoshi2200

I noticed it a bit during feel my rhythm and chill kill but birthday was fine and their past releases as well. Not only Red Velvet indeed. Snsd's Forever1 was very nasal as well. And knowing their past releases, the girls don't sound like that together. Riize's impossible is like that too.

purpletulip12

FMR, I felt the instruments were over powering their voices. Forever1, I dislike the metallic effect they put on Taeyeon's voice at the beginning plus it sound like a filter. On the male artists, for me its Dream and RIIZE that sound like I'm listening to them through a filter. I can't distinguish their voices (yet).

TokkiJK

Oh wow damn. One of the things that stuck out to me about Dream is how distinctive all the voices were. Although I didn’t have faces and names to apply to the voice at first. I just remember enjoying their vocal colors.

Alto-cis

Cosmic is good, i like it. MV is fun to watch. They couldve made the chorus more catchy tho.. (they- producers, sound/music engr, idk what they are called 😓) I would still give 8/10 for the music overall, the blending of their voices, the adlibs, the bridge, MAJESTIC 🏰 10/10 for the MV.

keroppismacaron

I’m super happy with it! I think Cosmic might be their strongest title track in a long time, and the video looked gorgeous. Night Drive is probably my favorite b-side.

purpletulip12

My favorites are the last three - Love Arcade, Bubble, and Night Drive!

supermarket53

I loved it overall. Some of their recent comebacks I’ve had to take sometime to warmup to. However this one, it grew on me right away. As for the MV, I’ve always enjoyed their elegant, colorful, cheerful, yet creepy mix vibes with their videos. I’m glad they brought it back.

gh0stcat13

i think it's their best song yet. it's so musically interesting and that chorus is amazing, i can't get it out of my head

Successful_Snow_1875

I love the MV!!  The song is boring to me...

[deleted]

On the first listen , I was hooked to cosmic, night drive and last drop. But now , I can't choose. Also , it's made so well that if rv was gen 4 or 5, it could easily be AOTY. That's how much I loved it. The vocals and the instrumentals are on par and go well with each other , the vocals of each member being distinct yet harmonising so well , it just makes me fall in love with their voices. No wonder Irene told us to focus on their voices for this album

julie_killgore

I love Cosmic so much, Sunflower is also amazing. I enjoyed all the songs on the album but those two really stood out to me.

TheSunflowerSeeds

As far as historians can tell us, the Aztecs worshipped sunflowers and believed them to be the physical incarnation of their beloved sun gods. Of course!

Low-Disaster-7175

I thought it was mid. It wasn't really my type of song

leggoitzy

Cosmic is great, their best title since Feel My Rhythm (which is ridiculously being underrated in hindsight).

EuEfOw

Riiiiighhhht???? People are sleeping on Feel My Rhythm 😭

Shreyreybe

I totally LOVED Cosmic! The verses with that funky bass line are so up my alley, but the pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, and that final chorus-outro section are pure MAGIC! This is so extra, but when Red Flavor came out I had this absolutely giddy feeling that I was in the presence of something incredible, and I felt the exact same with Cosmic. Wendy (my bias, sorry) sounds soooo incredible I almost cried in that high note that leads into the final chorus from the bridge. I would have added more Joy though, I felt like I didn’t hear from her enough this time.

buniyadi-kuttiya

just curious, where did the threads on uko go?

androth

I just gotta say that I love reading all the different opinions. It's not just a giant circlejerk disguised as an discussion where every new song is the "best song eveeeer" and if you disagree you are a hater. My personal opinion is that it's an album with good songs, but (again) unfortunately with no great song (s), which is super disappointing for me as this album pretty much commemorates their 10th anniversary and I expected a really really good title song.

Nightm4rePixie

I really liked it! I might be a little biased cause they're my ult group, but the concept is so fun and I loved the MV. My favourite B-sides as of now are Sunflower and Love Arcade.

AsheonStarstruck

The title track and b-sides were all solid but I thought Last Drop was an absolute banger. Initially felt a bit repetitive but Wendy's execution of that bridge was just exemplary (as usual), which just elevated it that couple of levels for me.

Accomplished-Tuna

Enjoyed it much more than Chill Kill. It feels like their counterpart soul sister where Chill Kill represents night and Cosmic represents day

LowraAwry

_(again, uko release threads solidarity)_ I listened twice to the TT and it is interesting. I suppose that's what a "change up" that doesn't need announcing sounds like? For some reason the very short instrumental intro reminded me of Hyo's picture chorus, which probably isn't related in the slightest but still I had to check. Anyhow, I kinda want to listen to Cosmic again to figure it out, the verses/prechorus seem to go one way, while the chorus another. It's not bad or out of this world, it's interesting and they sound very nice.

OkRoll4291

I think it is literally their best song yet honestly it is so beautiful especially when paired with the music video :)

[deleted]

Loved it from the first chorus. I loved Chill Kill, too, though

the1andonlyBev

I haven't really listened to them before and I decided to give this a listen and it blew me away tbh. The chords and vocal melodies are soooo satisfying and catchy. It's a definite repeat listen for me and I'm gonna be paying more attention to this group from here forward!

Nicekuun

The bridge had me crying the first time I heard it.

BloodAndTsundere

I liked it a lot. Much more than anything from Chill Kill. I love the video's classic Red Velvet cute murder theme.

imabouttadoitXXL

tbh, i kinda thought cosmic was a bit boring...for a (almost) 10 year aniversary song, i expected more, but its still solid. its bsides arent bad either.

DustAndFluff

While Cosmic the song is really good, I'm not really understanding the point that it's their best title track post-Psycho when they've also released Feel My Rhythm just 2 years prior (which, for me, is their best overall project hands down) This is also probably the first time I've never saved a Red Velvet b-side, as I felt like the songs were rather derivative of past Red Velvet b-sides Overall, I'm rather disappointed for Red Velvet's 10th anniversary project, and it really does feel like SM is sidelining them hard now, but at least we still have that beautiful music video to rewatch

Zoshi2200

My feelings exactly. The other albums felt so Red Velvet except this one. Feel my Rhythm is also a masterpiece. It's one of their best songs and I do like it more than this track.

Dramorian

FMR is a masterpiece? For me, it's a polar opposite. I don't even remember how it sounds, same for Birthday, Probably, the worst ones they released so far.

steven513cool

Love it

Steviesteps

I love it, and not related to liking it or not, the chorus reminds me of Bebe Rexha's Satellite (the spacey subject & the melody).

[deleted]

I really like the verse with its dark bass! I wish someone would make a full-song remix of just that part. The switch-up to the happier chorus just isn't doing it for me.

DefLuxurious

Maybe you're just not that big of a fan of bass. The contrast between the verses and chorus works.

chickenmeatgirl

i like the song its nice and catchy but unfortunetly i dont think red velvet would ever have their 'psycho' moment. like the song is good but i have a feeling that its not better then their past releases....

ladymacbethss

Why do you guys always compare their titles to Psycho? It's so annoying, my god. Give that song up to god.

esperterra

bro get over it

chickenmeatgirl

OKAY :)
