I have never seen a more uninspiring, boring and mediocre brand than Givenchy. And on top of that, they always seemed to dress aespa like old ladies and with clothes way too big for them.
You had these girls with this over the top futuristic concept and then Givenchy would put them in oversized suits and office heels for photoshoots. I’m so glad it’s over and that they all have their personal brand endorsements now.

the whole group was the face for clio for a while, so they had photoshoots for the brand, if you bought a product you would get a photocard. But it wasn't a good collab since clio wasn't a good brand
The main problem was a lot of stays received damaged products, apart from that Clio used to post phrases for each member and purposefully had typos for ChanLix since they are foreigners, this deal happened while Hyunjin was on hiatus and his photos weren't used (which in itself made the deal suck) but someone ended up getting and selling his Clio photocards which were not supposed to be on the market
seulgi with ferragamo omg in 2021 seulgi was getting so many love calls from many luxurious brands however it seemed like ferragamo wanted her the most and would constantly send her pr stuff and get sponsored ads by her. in late 2021 she finally chose them and she became the global ambassador. then suddenly all the stuff that she was receiving before had stopped and during her year long contract she got i think like 2 photoshoots. us seulmates were praying for the contract to end cause the brand didn’t do anything with her and was preventing her from interacting with other luxury brands. it literally seemed like they just wanted to bag her so she’d stop posting other brands lol. her contract finally ended in early/mid 2022 and immediately after she was back to posting other luxury brands and booked for photoshoots with them lol
It hasnt yet, but the day TXT is freed from the shackles that is dior i will throw a party. STOP SENDING THEM TO PLACES DRESSED IN THE MOST BORING OUTFITS POSSIBLE. They went from one of the very few groups doing different things in red carpets to the most basic, boring outfits ever.
I'M COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS. Not only does Dior dress them terribly but the kind of sponsored content they post as part of their contract is so...uninspired to me. Free them!!
I don't really like dior but I'm still surprised how much they screw up for txt 😭 dior aren't usually that bad and somehow they keep dressing them in some large suits or just cheap looking fits 😭
Dior seems to have no idea how to dress their men. The women ambassadors almost always look pretty elegant on the carpet but their fits for the men have been a miss 90% of the times. Like they really managed to make Cha Eunwoo and Jung Haein look unattractive.
i wouldnt say it was the worse but whenever idols like BP or even Wonyoung more recently sign with Samsung and you can clearly see them trying to cover any trace of Iphones they have in their daily lives and its just kinda "fun" but yeah with BP i was so glad it was over cuz it was so stressfull

JYP didn't even give the group the opportunity to present their concept in a pure way without the contamination of sponsorship.
They did the song “Zero” last year too, but I forgot entirely and was thinking about the “How Sweet” mv from last month that features Coca Cola. I just double checked to make sure I was remembering correctly. Quite honestly it's gotten to the point where I see a Chanel-esque tweed set and automatically associate with Jennie. I do think a lot of the outfits suit her actually, but was, like everyone, highly disappointed with the Met Gala showing.
I feel the opposite. I hate Chanel bags with a burning passion but I love the clothes. That being said, Chanel has been shit since Karl Lagerfeld died. The man was problematic but he knew Chanel.

I think we just didn't have enough time or looks to determine if it was a good match or not. Prada women is always hit or miss, but I thought the clothes Irene wore in the short term as HA were good. Prada was an odd choice for Irene though. Miu Miu or Chanel would have fit her image more.
I haven't experienced this era because the Monstas are feasting with brand deals from skincare and makeup lines that ACTUALLY SUITS THEM, but oml seeing their Tony Moly photos sends a shiver down my spine and not in the best way lol (specifically the lip tint swatches oml, but the shades weren't that nice to begin with). Their Urban Decay brand deal was one of their best imo, we were fed really well!

I’m glad they all have their own fashion brand deals now because some of them look ridiculous in LV.
Yoongi is damn good at promoting stuff, even sarcastically (most sponsors for Suchwita were hilariously shoehorned in but my man was still putting in work lol) but I do believe his loyalty to Samsung is pretty genuine. Or at the very least he's receiving a hefty bag for it, especially considering he has produced two ringtones for them that probably just make his relationship to them stronger than some of the other members.
NCT Dream and every Korean nugu brand they got especially Candylab and Blancdiva. I don't understand why SM keeps on giving shit nugu brand deals to Dream who don't even treat each member fairly. Products are very mid too LOL
Rosé and YSL. I don't know if it's a stylist problem or the brand but her looks are so simple and basically boring,the same color,the same style all the time. Every time I see her my first thought is "come on girl,give us nothing" she needs to change the brand (impossible) or her stylist asap.
BTS x LV - I really hated this collab 😭 I'm so happy they're free and have gotten more suitable brand deals, because
1) I felt like most of the members didn't really match LV's freak, and for events where they all wore LV, it felt like the suits were wearing some of the members rather than the other way around, or the outfits would take away from the members' beauty rather than emphasizing it.
2) so many of their LV outfits were like... unfinished? The pant legs were too long, the suits weren't ironed, suit jackets were too big/too small, etc. While not the end of the world, it made me really disappointed with a ton of their red carpet looks for a hot second.
I HATE LV and I agree with everything you said bc it seems like it's a common problem with many of their ambassadors, especially the men clothing! When felix was announced as an ambassador I was little nervous but so far it's great mostly bc Nicholas handles him lol.
Also I think a whole group brand deal is a bit tough bc for a group like bts each member just have different aura and I'm happy now each member is associated with different brands.
Hobi's fits with LV have been perfect and suit him so well (the bag photoshoot is 🔥🔥🔥). He really is the only one in the group that suits their aesthetic. And I completely agree the other guys are with brands that fit their styles so much better.
Yes!!! He looks so good in LV (the white Paris fashion week suit..... omg), and I'm happy he kept the deal and I'm looking forward to more fits in the fall..... LV don't let me down.
YES!! The white suit was sooo good. Also the maroon fit with the hat and elbow length gloves? I think it happened in tandem with the bag photoshoot. Their using their clothing in a way that showcases his personal style. Yeah, I need them to keep doing this.
Whole group fashion endorsement deals generally suck IMO. (Although obviously you have to be at a certain level for individual members to get endorsements, but BTS were surely there prior to the Louis Vuitton deal.)
Group members are generally chosen for their unique charms and abilities, so it makes sense that often one label’s sensibilities doesn’t maximize every single member to their fullest.
I think group deals are actually much harder to get, especially at BTS level, since they’re so expensive. Before that it was ot7 or nothing, which is really the only reason they insisted on group deals. I think there was some brand deal where they only wanted one member before but they made the brand sponsor all seven of them.
Yes, definitely. Much as I love SKZ the Tommy Hilfiger Met looks were … wrong. I’m not really a fan of the brand anyway, but the casual outfits were better. Seeing a whole group in very similar clothes is a bit cringe for me, but that’s where the money is
The 2022 Grammys were a mess. WTF was LV thinking? Those suits were horrible and the fabric looked incredibly uncomfortable … and then they immediately ditched them for the all black suits for the performance and didn’t bother changing back to the red carpet suits.
Hobi has been rocking LV but yea, when it’s all 7 - it can be a miss. While I say that, NGL I really liked their years old GQ shoots that were LV but again it seemed like each one wore the pieces they wanted to wear and not forced into something.
I think it’s harder for luxury brands to style groups because most pieces are meant to be unique and made in low quantities to drive the sales up. This makes it more difficult for each group member to have a similar look to tie them together as a group.
Also, there really isn’t much wrong with that 2022 Grammy look. I don’t like V’s suit and it doesn’t seem tailored well, and JK’s pants also look too big, but everything else is literally fine.
I wasn't a fan yet during this time. But as I've been catching up and looking back on their careers, I can see what a huge mismatch it was for the whole group. LV did not do them justice. What a huge miss for them when they had the whole group.
As a group, LV dressed them in some of the fugliest most boring shit I’ve ever seen with some of the worst being those matchy-matchy suits they wore to the Grammys and those stupid sweater with the sock monkey stuck on the front. On the other hand though, Hobi absolutely rocked everything he wore but that was more of a testament to his star power and skill as a dancer than it was to the actual clothes.
Hasn’t ended yet but LV for Le Sserafim I’m counting down the days until there contract is over, i’ve liked none of the clothing they’ve worn from the brand, especially for there Coachella I mean making them wear leather in a hot desert?
The LV women's division is led by Nicholas Ghesquire, who very much leans towards the avant garde even in their RTW. His red carpet looks are very very hit or miss, with mostly misses on account of very few ambassadors actually being able to pull off the often bizarre looks, and the clothes taking too much inspo from the runway, which as I have already established before tend to be more on the high fashion avant garde side. You know that the brand is difficult to style when Zendaya and Law Roach, the dream fashion team struggle to style the clothes in a flattering way. I always holler when I think of how Zendaya mostly wore vintage Marc Jacobs era LV for her Challengers promo tour. Sis said I will fulfill the contract on my own terms lol
LV men's on other hand was helmed by the late Virgil Abloh who incorporated a lot of street wear sensibilities to the clothes hence being more commercially viable and acceptable. He had some incredible RTW shows and I think that that is where he shined. Red carpet on the other hand I think wasn't his strong suit (pun intended), hence boring red carpet looks and way better casual/photoshoot looks. After he passed away, Pharrell Williams took over and he is mostly trying to make the LV Damier (check board) print a thing again, in which he has only been semi successful. Some looks have been pretty chic and others look Minecraft.
It depends on the individuals and the decision-makers. Some have managed to make LV look good, making the clothes look 👌. Not many, though. I guess it depends also on how much say the artist and their manager have in the decision-making.
Idk about that, Felix has looked 🔥 in every LV look. I wonder how the entire process works too because each group/entertainment company has stylists too. I believe for official group activities company provided stylists have a lot of say in what ambassadors wear - more so than LV themselves. LV - in those instances - would just provide clothes. I think LV stylists do more styling when it comes to actual LV events (fashion shows etc.).
Considering LSF and BTS are both a part of HYBE corp, it maybe more of a company issue, but idk 🤷🏽♀️, I have no idea how these things actually work. I’m just speculating.
I will say, however, Felix is always dressed well in his LV clothing, and other idols like Jackson Wang, BamBam, and Lisa always look great. So I might just be sticking to my theory.
While Jhope hadn’t been an LV ambassador for long before he enlisted I think he looked good in them. But when BTS as a group were styled by LV the looks were boring to me

I actually like Karina's brand deals with Converse, their collections are pretty solid. But yeah, aespa's group deal with crocs is something I want to forget along with Givenchy lol.
Any group luxury brand deal tbh. I’m talking lsf x lv, aespa x givenchy, txt x Dior. The outfits are always such a travesty and I never understood why companies go for it over solo ba for members.
I’m also pretty 50/50 on lv ambassadorships in general, since I like their street/airport style, am 50/50 on their stage looks and absolutely hate their red carpet and photoshoot looks.
Maybe it just depends on the person and the relationship they have with the brand. Felix and Nicholas Ghasquire (who runs the Women’s wear) get along really well and you can tell by how Felix always looks well styled.
I also think entertainment company provided stylists have a lot of say in official company activities, so this may play a factor.
Finally, I think it’s harder to style a group of people under one brand as opposed to individuals because you need to make sure the outfits are similar without repeating.

I agree with that but different brands have different strengths. For example lv is really good at streetwear but they famously bomb red carpets to the point they stopped sending people to the met.
Felix is low key a pretty good example of this, because I love his airport and more casual looks (especially when they lean into the skater boy vibe), but I find his red carpet and performance looks kind of boring (aside from that recent event in Japan with the cutouts that was great). I do think having a good relationship helps a bit since lv seems to choose things closer to Felix’s personal style (same with hyunjin and Versace), but I don’t think it really makes or breaks their styling since they either suit the brand or they don’t.
Also from what I’ve read about stylists when idols get brand ambassadorships, most work goes into looking cohesive with the group while incorporating the different contracts, since some leave more to the stylists while some have the brand or brand approved stylists in full control. Felix for example has his own stylist and hyunjin wears a lot of custom and unreleased pieces from Versace so it’s likely that a lot of their looks are determined by the brand. I think there was a similar case for txt and Dior since their Dior looks are very different to their previous styling.
I do think it’s harder to style full groups, which is why it confuses me that they keep doing it, especially with groups that could get solo deals. Like as much as I hated aespa x givenchy it at least made sense because they were rookies and now that they’re more established they’ve gotten solo deals. But it doesn’t make sense for groups like lsf and txt - like are we really pretending Sakura and chaewon and yeonjun and soobin can’t get solo deals? It doesn’t really work for boosting the profile of the group either since I find there’s way less attention on idols who attend events and cover magazines as a group then if they go solo.
I agree with most parts of your common outside of the LV streetwear v red carpet. A lot of male idols wear the Menswear line, but Felix is often in Womenswear due to his androgyny and unique relationship with Nicholas.
Honestly, LV making Pharrell a creative director was a terrible decision IMO, and I haven’t liked anything he has put out so far. I’m not sure who was the CD before him, but the men’s wear has never been that great.
I’ve seen Felix in a few suits and dress clothes that I am very jealous of because they look great. However, more often than not, when I do a quick search, it’s out of the women’s line.
But fashion is also a personal thing. One man’s trash always ends up being another’s treasure.
Fashion is absolutely subjective and people are free to like who they like! I’ll be honest a lot of Felix’s looks I haven’t really liked since I personally think they’re tailored slightly oddly, which could be either a stylist of brand problem. He has had some good looks with them and the brand treats him exceptionally well, I just personally think the best looks have been his airport looks, while the event/editorial/red carpet looks have fallen a bit short.
When I talk about lv and red carpet I’m more talking reputationally if that makes sense. LV and Nicholas get a lot of flack for how they dress their ambassadors (zendaya, Emma stone etc.) especially for red carpets and Nicholas especially isn’t particularly well liked by fans of his ambassadors. LV goes viral quite often for bad red carpet looks either conceptually or through poor fitting and tailoring (Emma stone). While I definitely think Felix gets the best out of the ambassadors from both the men’s and women’s lines, there hasn’t been many memorable looks that LV has given him (again fashion is extremely subjective, so it’s not a big deal if you love his looks!).
Stray Kids x Clio
First, they photoshopped their photos like crazy, to the point where their skin looked like plastic. The delivery service was terrible, it was common to see stays posting their eyeshadow pallets broken. And they were never clear if they are cruelty-free or not, which is a good indicator that they do test on animals or at least support so... happy that ended
I loved him in Miu Miu for the Vogue cover. I feel like Celine clothes fit him in his daily, casual looks. But for events I wish they’d give him something other than those ugly black clothes 😭
How I have scrolled down this thread hallway and not yet seen a BTS / McDonald's citation? They looked like they wanted to disappear in the ether when doing those ads. Im pretty sure it's a part of them referring to their disillusionment towards the last couple years when they did that last vlive.

jimin and tiffany/dior — their photoshoots/magazine fits were pretty good but any time they had to style him for an event they just fell incredibly short. iirc they only gave him a brooch to wear to one of tiffany’s events which is crazy considering jimin adores earrings & rings. + most of their styling choices when it came to accessories (some even in magazine shoots) involved a lack of earrings which was just pretty odd. clothes-wise they’d just opt for a plain black suit and it seemed so boring? admittedly i am not into high fashion at all so i’d be very open to change my mind if i heard an enlightened opinion

oh how i wish i could complain about this but my faves don't have any brand deals. tbh i don't want them to...like for chicken or beer or smth sure! but high brand fashion ehhhh no. . give them 치맥 and i couldn't be disappointed

I saw one clip of a male idol taking pictures with fans. It wasn't official, it seemed like some girls had bumped into him whilst they were out.
She offered him her iPhone so they could get a better angle, but he refused to hold it, and commenters pointed out he had a brand deal with Samsung and wasn't allowed to be seen holding phones in public.
I don't really know male idols, but I'd guess it was a member of BTS or Stray Kids?

aespa x Givenchy. I have never seen a more uninspiring, boring and mediocre brand than Givenchy. And on top of that, they always seemed to dress aespa like old ladies and with clothes way too big for them. You had these girls with this over the top futuristic concept and then Givenchy would put them in oversized suits and office heels for photoshoots. I’m so glad it’s over and that they all have their personal brand endorsements now.

the whole group was the face for clio for a while, so they had photoshoots for the brand, if you bought a product you would get a photocard. But it wasn't a good collab since clio wasn't a good brand
The main problem was a lot of stays received damaged products, apart from that Clio used to post phrases for each member and purposefully had typos for ChanLix since they are foreigners, this deal happened while Hyunjin was on hiatus and his photos weren't used (which in itself made the deal suck) but someone ended up getting and selling his Clio photocards which were not supposed to be on the market
seulgi with ferragamo omg in 2021 seulgi was getting so many love calls from many luxurious brands however it seemed like ferragamo wanted her the most and would constantly send her pr stuff and get sponsored ads by her. in late 2021 she finally chose them and she became the global ambassador. then suddenly all the stuff that she was receiving before had stopped and during her year long contract she got i think like 2 photoshoots. us seulmates were praying for the contract to end cause the brand didn’t do anything with her and was preventing her from interacting with other luxury brands. it literally seemed like they just wanted to bag her so she’d stop posting other brands lol. her contract finally ended in early/mid 2022 and immediately after she was back to posting other luxury brands and booked for photoshoots with them lol
Seulgi and Ferragamo was an odd choice too. Seulgi could have gone for a more edgier brand.

I think we just didn't have enough time or looks to determine if it was a good match or not. Prada women is always hit or miss, but I thought the clothes Irene wore in the short term as HA were good. Prada was an odd choice for Irene though. Miu Miu or Chanel would have fit her image more.
I haven't experienced this era because the Monstas are feasting with brand deals from skincare and makeup lines that ACTUALLY SUITS THEM, but oml seeing their Tony Moly photos sends a shiver down my spine and not in the best way lol (specifically the lip tint swatches oml, but the shades weren't that nice to begin with). Their Urban Decay brand deal was one of their best imo, we were fed really well!

If I remember correctly Joon and Yoongi actively use galaxy (Yoongi even promoting galaxy cameras for free) so I think they will stick around
Yoongi is damn good at promoting stuff, even sarcastically (most sponsors for Suchwita were hilariously shoehorned in but my man was still putting in work lol) but I do believe his loyalty to Samsung is pretty genuine. Or at the very least he's receiving a hefty bag for it, especially considering he has produced two ringtones for them that probably just make his relationship to them stronger than some of the other members.

Rosé and YSL. I don't know if it's a stylist problem or the brand but her looks are so simple and basically boring,the same color,the same style all the time. Every time I see her my first thought is "come on girl,give us nothing" she needs to change the brand (impossible) or her stylist asap.
BTS x LV - I really hated this collab 😭 I'm so happy they're free and have gotten more suitable brand deals, because 1) I felt like most of the members didn't really match LV's freak, and for events where they all wore LV, it felt like the suits were wearing some of the members rather than the other way around, or the outfits would take away from the members' beauty rather than emphasizing it. 2) so many of their LV outfits were like... unfinished? The pant legs were too long, the suits weren't ironed, suit jackets were too big/too small, etc. While not the end of the world, it made me really disappointed with a ton of their red carpet looks for a hot second.
I HATE LV and I agree with everything you said bc it seems like it's a common problem with many of their ambassadors, especially the men clothing! When felix was announced as an ambassador I was little nervous but so far it's great mostly bc Nicholas handles him lol. Also I think a whole group brand deal is a bit tough bc for a group like bts each member just have different aura and I'm happy now each member is associated with different brands.
Hobi's fits with LV have been perfect and suit him so well (the bag photoshoot is 🔥🔥🔥). He really is the only one in the group that suits their aesthetic. And I completely agree the other guys are with brands that fit their styles so much better.

YES!! The white suit was sooo good. Also the maroon fit with the hat and elbow length gloves? I think it happened in tandem with the bag photoshoot. Their using their clothing in a way that showcases his personal style. Yeah, I need them to keep doing this.
Whole group fashion endorsement deals generally suck IMO. (Although obviously you have to be at a certain level for individual members to get endorsements, but BTS were surely there prior to the Louis Vuitton deal.) Group members are generally chosen for their unique charms and abilities, so it makes sense that often one label’s sensibilities doesn’t maximize every single member to their fullest.
I think group deals are actually much harder to get, especially at BTS level, since they’re so expensive. Before that it was ot7 or nothing, which is really the only reason they insisted on group deals. I think there was some brand deal where they only wanted one member before but they made the brand sponsor all seven of them.
Yes, definitely. Much as I love SKZ the Tommy Hilfiger Met looks were … wrong. I’m not really a fan of the brand anyway, but the casual outfits were better. Seeing a whole group in very similar clothes is a bit cringe for me, but that’s where the money is
The 2022 Grammys were a mess. WTF was LV thinking? Those suits were horrible and the fabric looked incredibly uncomfortable … and then they immediately ditched them for the all black suits for the performance and didn’t bother changing back to the red carpet suits. Hobi has been rocking LV but yea, when it’s all 7 - it can be a miss. While I say that, NGL I really liked their years old GQ shoots that were LV but again it seemed like each one wore the pieces they wanted to wear and not forced into something.
I think it’s harder for luxury brands to style groups because most pieces are meant to be unique and made in low quantities to drive the sales up. This makes it more difficult for each group member to have a similar look to tie them together as a group. Also, there really isn’t much wrong with that 2022 Grammy look. I don’t like V’s suit and it doesn’t seem tailored well, and JK’s pants also look too big, but everything else is literally fine.
I wasn't a fan yet during this time. But as I've been catching up and looking back on their careers, I can see what a huge mismatch it was for the whole group. LV did not do them justice. What a huge miss for them when they had the whole group.
As a group, LV dressed them in some of the fugliest most boring shit I’ve ever seen with some of the worst being those matchy-matchy suits they wore to the Grammys and those stupid sweater with the sock monkey stuck on the front. On the other hand though, Hobi absolutely rocked everything he wore but that was more of a testament to his star power and skill as a dancer than it was to the actual clothes.

The LV women's division is led by Nicholas Ghesquire, who very much leans towards the avant garde even in their RTW. His red carpet looks are very very hit or miss, with mostly misses on account of very few ambassadors actually being able to pull off the often bizarre looks, and the clothes taking too much inspo from the runway, which as I have already established before tend to be more on the high fashion avant garde side. You know that the brand is difficult to style when Zendaya and Law Roach, the dream fashion team struggle to style the clothes in a flattering way. I always holler when I think of how Zendaya mostly wore vintage Marc Jacobs era LV for her Challengers promo tour. Sis said I will fulfill the contract on my own terms lol LV men's on other hand was helmed by the late Virgil Abloh who incorporated a lot of street wear sensibilities to the clothes hence being more commercially viable and acceptable. He had some incredible RTW shows and I think that that is where he shined. Red carpet on the other hand I think wasn't his strong suit (pun intended), hence boring red carpet looks and way better casual/photoshoot looks. It depends on the individuals and the decision-makers. Some have managed to make LV look good, making the clothes look 👌. Not many, though. I guess it depends also on how much say the artist and their manager have in the decision-making.
Idk about that, Felix has looked 🔥 in every LV look. I wonder how the entire process works too because each group/entertainment company has stylists too. I believe for official group activities company provided stylists have a lot of say in what ambassadors wear - more so than LV themselves. LV - in those instances - would just provide clothes. I think LV stylists do more styling when it comes to actual LV events (fashion shows etc.). Considering LSF and BTS are both a part of HYBE corp, it maybe more of a company issue, but idk 🤷🏽♀️, I have no idea how these things actually work. I’m just speculating. I will say, however, Felix is always dressed well in his LV clothing, and other idols like Jackson Wang, BamBam, and Lisa always look great. So I might just be sticking to my theory.
While Jhope hadn’t been an LV ambassador for long before he enlisted I think he looked good in them. But when BTS as a group were styled by LV the looks were boring to me

It was apparently really cold and windy at coachella that night. The desert can get really cold at night. The outfits were pretty bad for the weather but not because of the leather. Converse and Karina makes sense to me but they definitely have some misses so I can see that.
I actually like Karina's brand deals with Converse, their collections are pretty solid. But yeah, aespa's group deal with crocs is something I want to forget along with Givenchy lol.

Any group luxury brand deal tbh. I’m talking lsf x lv, aespa x givenchy, txt x Dior. The outfits are always such a travesty and I never understood why companies go for it over solo ba for members. I’m also pretty 50/50 on lv ambassadorships in general, since I like their street/airport style, am 50/50 on their stage looks and absolutely hate their red carpet and photoshoot looks.
Maybe it just depends on the person and the relationship they have with the brand. Felix and Nicholas Ghasquire (who runs the Women’s wear) get along really well and you can tell by how Felix always looks well styled. I also think entertainment company provided stylists have a lot of say in official company activities, so this may play a factor. Finally, I think it’s harder to style a group of people under one brand as opposed to individuals because you need to make sure the outfits are similar without repeating. Tough job all around.
I agree with that but different brands have different strengths. For example lv is really good at streetwear but they famously bomb red carpets to the point they stopped sending people to the met. Felix is low key a pretty good example of this, because I love his airport and more casual looks (especially when they lean into the skater boy vibe), but I find his red carpet and performance looks kind of boring (aside from that recent event in Japan with the cutouts that was great). I do think having a good relationship helps a bit since lv seems to choose things closer to Felix’s personal style (same with hyunjin and Versace), but I don’t think it really makes or breaks their styling since they either suit the brand or they don’t. Also from what I’ve read about stylists when idols get brand ambassadorships, most work goes into looking cohesive with the group while incorporating the different contracts, since some leave more to the stylists while some have the brand or brand approved stylists in full control. Felix for example has his own stylist and hyunjin wears a lot of custom and unreleased pieces from Versace so it’s likely that a lot of their looks are determined by the brand. I think there was a similar case for txt and Dior since their Dior looks are very different to their previous styling. I do think it’s harder to style full groups, which is why it confuses me that they keep doing it, especially with groups that could get solo deals. Like as much as I hated aespa x givenchy it at least made sense because they were rookies and now that they’re more established they’ve gotten solo deals. But it doesn’t make sense for groups like lsf and txt - like are we really pretending Sakura and chaewon and yeonjun and soobin can’t get solo deals? It doesn’t really work for boosting the profile of the group either since I find there’s way less attention on idols who attend events and cover magazines as a group then if they go solo.
I agree with most parts of your common outside of the LV streetwear v red carpet. A lot of male idols wear the Menswear line, but Felix is often in Womenswear due to his androgyny and unique relationship with Nicholas. Honestly, LV making Pharrell a creative director was a terrible decision IMO, and I haven’t liked anything he has put out so far. I’m not sure who was the CD before him, but the men’s wear has never been that great. I’ve seen Felix in a few suits and dress clothes that I am very jealous of because they look great. However, more often than not, when I do a quick search, it’s out of the women’s line. But fashion is also a personal thing. One man’s trash always ends up being another’s treasure.
Fashion is absolutely subjective and people are free to like who they like! I’ll be honest a lot of Felix’s looks I haven’t really liked since I personally think they’re tailored slightly oddly, which could be either a stylist of brand problem. He has had some good looks with them and the brand treats him exceptionally well, I just personally think the best looks have been his airport looks, while the event/editorial/red carpet looks have fallen a bit short. When I talk about lv and red carpet I’m more talking reputationally if that makes sense. LV and Nicholas get a lot of flack for how they dress their ambassadors (zendaya, Emma stone etc.) especially for red carpets and Nicholas especially isn’t particularly well liked by fans of his ambassadors. LV goes viral quite often for bad red carpet looks either conceptually or through poor fitting and tailoring (Emma stone). While I definitely think Felix gets the best out of the ambassadors from both the men’s and women’s lines, there hasn’t been many memorable looks that LV has given him (again fashion is extremely subjective, so it’s not a big deal if you love his looks!).

Stray Kids x Clio First, they photoshopped their photos like crazy, to the point where their skin looked like plastic. The delivery service was terrible, it was common to see stays posting their eyeshadow pallets broken. And they were never clear if they are cruelty-free or not, which is a good indicator that they do test on animals or at least support so... happy that ended
Nacific were so guilty of the over-editing too, could have been mistaken for Clio photos, Mahagrid were kinda the best ot8 brand deal

I think because it was an amazingly successful campaign. It sold a lot, people were crazy about it. Even the merch was completely sold out.

jimin and tiffany/dior — their photoshoots/magazine fits were pretty good but any time they had to style him for an event they just fell incredibly short. iirc they only gave him a brooch to wear to one of tiffany’s events which is crazy considering jimin adores earrings & rings. + most of their styling choices when it came to accessories (some even in magazine shoots) involved a lack of earrings which was just pretty odd. clothes-wise they’d just opt for a plain black suit and it seemed so boring? admittedly i am not into high fashion at all so i’d be very open to change my mind if i heard an enlightened opinion bts & lv — grammy fits.
His magazine styling is great but for events they literally gives him ill fitting clothes+ no earrings. What a wasted opportunity.

I saw one clip of a male idol taking pictures with fans. It wasn't official, it seemed like some girls had bumped into him whilst they were out. She offered him her iPhone so they could get a better angle, but he refused to hold it, and commenters pointed out he had a brand deal with Samsung and wasn't allowed to be seen holding phones in public. I don't really know male idols, but I'd guess it was a member of BTS or Stray Kids?
