Add to that that "anything under 5M" was parroted as being what a "fair/good deal" is for him, him signing for under 4M is pretty sweet.

I've heard whispers that Bertuzzi is pretty open to taking a lower deal than before to secure a spot on the team, but I think the Leafs were prioritizing securing Domi before Bertuzzi in any situation, probably rightly so.
