Wow. I would just buy that kit off of Amazon. I have a similar one myself, and it’s been working perfectly fine for about half a year

The kits aren't long enough. My front door runs are 37in (93.98cm) whereas most of these are 29.52in (75cm).

The area you want to put these into is 37 inches? Or the whole door panel is 37?

The area I want to run. Basically from the inside of the door trim, up around a small panel, and then down, or the shortest single route I can find. 2011 Ford Focus SE if you want to check out what I'm working with.

You should look at Chris Mahers YT channel and try using WLED. Preferably through ws2811's. They are IC LED STRIPS, you can cut, solder combine etc. You can sync the lights together w different controllers. You can add a mic to the controller for like 2 dollars. The power supply, depends on you, which is why I chose to recommend ws2811 because it is 12 v and you can plug it into the cigarette lighter. Start-Up effect / color is available to set in WLED.

I appreciate the help, but unfortunately it looks like this project is going on my back burner. Considering this was a spur of the moment thing, it ended up being either too much money, or too much effort in finding ways to reduce cost. For example, just in LED's I am looking at $15 per run, and I would need to do 6, so I'm at $90 just in LED's with diffuser. I have a feeling I'll be able to find rolls of the diffuser extrusion for cheaper, but again it's turning into a large effort project at this point, much more than what I anticipated. I'll keep an eye on his YT channel though, if for no other reason than I thoroughly enjoyed the rabbit hole I was heading down. Thanks!
