Eh, having just gotten a couple of Series 26 Space Minifigures, the printing on translucent pieces has gotten really good. Could see Lego making semi-translucent force ghost figs now
What a genius piece to bait a ton of people. Lego would most likely have a similar approach to this (or do what they did for Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter) if they ever do Force Ghosts

They used sand-blue as a base color and added other shades for printing/linework. Gives the illusion of a ghost while still inserting details for robes, wrinkles and similar stuff
Ah okay. Maybe this would work with some other blue colors for SW as the palette is much different from HP. Either way, I think the intent is to allow force ghosts without needing new figs
Yes, that concept and "fake leak" kept that in mind of reusing figures while providing a surface that would give that transparent effect. Personally, if they end up producing force ghosts, I think going the Moaning Myrtle route is optional (because you have that unique and singular style and you're able to have a design that is detailed enough)
There was a guy who made fake leaked pieces in early 2022 I think and it was just to prove how easy it is or something lol. He made a fake ucs landspeeder windshield too.
God, I forgot how well made this was. Too bad the guy was and is a total loser. I remember when he revealed it was fake, and at first it seemed like he had a point, but then it just devolved into him making lazier fakes for the same attention. I think most of what he did had to be for attention, his political posts got really, really radical once everyone stopped giving a shit about his leaks.

I honestly think there’s not any physical problem stopping Lego making force ghosts, they just never thought of putting them in a set that would make sense - the only option was the 2013 ewok village but that was very child play-focussed
