If you lay a flashlight horizontally on the ground and look at the carpet from that perspective it would be relatively easy to find something

I spend a lot of time repairing electronics in my home office and if I drop a tiny little piece that I don't have spares of and is difficult to replace, it is usually gone. I usually find it somewhere obvious around 2 weeks later when the replacement part from China arrives. Both of these tips will be used in the future.

I have laid down and looked along the surface like that as well, and sometimes if it is a small part and I have another I drop it to see where it goes as well. If it is something sharp your foot will find it sooner or later as well.

Stocking over the end of shopvac tube, all small things will be picked up and easily found

My grandmother taught me that trick. In 1965.

Don’t question it. Just say out loud, “Marco!” When you hear a response, you walk towards it and you’ll find what you’re looking for. 60% of the time, it works every time. Let me start it off for you. Marco!

If sharp in any way, the key is to use your foot. It'll find it quick.
