Same. Oboe is my second instrument, and it’s really painful when I practice. When I just started playing it, I tried to play high E flat. Dumbest decision ever. It worked, but I passed out due to the lack of air…
depends how my day has been and how ive been feeling about my playing recently tbh.
if its been a really stressful time then i could easily get to like a 7/8 if im making basic mistakes that i just shouldnt be messing up on, but if im on top form and its been a good day then i just wouldnt really get frustrated at all and critique myself constructively
It depends. I'm a begginer, but sometimes I get really inspired even to play twinkle twinkle little star😭 There are other days that I feel really unmotivated and stop practicing earlier than I usually do, so I whould say 5. I try to practice harder to recover the two years I lost from laziness and desmotivation and it kinda haunts me tbh, I feel really blamed for this and I think that I whould be really better if I practiced in 2022 and 2023. Even when I feel like that, two set violin and specific pieces and songs make me feel motivated again, and im really proud of that (sorry for the random vent)
I used to get very frustrated with myself when I would make mistakes. But then I changed how I thought about practicing and decided that I can't learn/improve if I don't make mistakes.
It depends on the day. Most of the days, I'm not that much frustrated, and some days, I am more frustrated. I have a big dream for violin, and that's why I'm motivated and knowing why I need to study all the techniques,... I restarted very late for being a soloist or for being in a professional orchestra, but that's fine for me.
Now that I’m not in school, I don’t get very frustrated learning music for gigs unless I find that the music is way more complicated than I’m getting paid for.
About a 7/10. Sometimes it can be really annoying, and all you want to do is play the stuff you do know instead of working on the stuff that actually needs to be worked on. The most annoying thing is whenever you just can't seem to get a piece of music, y'know? Like, there was a competition that I was meant to be a part of recently, and I had to withdraw because I wasn't able to prepare two pieces over multiple months. I was at a REALLY low point after that, but as long as I keep practicing, I can keep going by knowing that I'll slowly get better and absolutely DECIMATE the next competition.
could be anywhere from 0-10. reality is it mostly just depends on how good your mental state is in the first place. if in a good mood you can have countless errors to slowly correct while still having fun and feeling patient. If you are in a bad place a single bad note can make you have to walk away to calm down.
It used to be around 7 or 8. When I was a kid, I actually cried during a lesson once because I was frustrated about not being able to play something right. Right now, it's about 3. I accept that failure is a part of progress, and that you will naturally improve with practice.
Maybe a 4 when I play piano because I really like the piano, I love practicing it, so I just can’t really get frustrated.
Oboe, 8. My lungs die every single time.
Violin, 6. It’s fun, but my fingers hurt when I practice too much.
1.5 - If I don't get it today, I still put in effort that'll reap something tomorrow or next week. Challenging material is fun, the sometimes-slow grind of practice is relaxing, and I end practice feeling good, even if it ends up being a session where little improvement is heard afterwards.
A solid 10 out of 10
Agreed. I don't know every instrument, but I think I have the most painful embouchure and fingerings.
oboe is soooo hard, like theres like 40 million fingerings for each note and the reed is so small. i respect oboe players
Thank you (:

5-7😇
You must be a professional
why?
I used to get very frustrated with myself when I would make mistakes. But then I changed how I thought about practicing and decided that I can't learn/improve if I don't make mistakes.
I have pushed through the frustration at this point so I wouldn't say I get frustrated anymore, but I'm constantly giving myself reasons to.

As a guitarist, 10 out of 10. I force myself to practice and ignore the pain especislly when I cant play the DANG F CHORD💀
It's not normal to feel pain. If you ignore it, it can cause injuries
2/10 I’m generally cool tempered tho-

5/10 depends on the day😭

6/10 if i avoid my problems: if it doesn’t work ill switch to another piece or instrument or just leave lol
Composition: 1000/10, instrument: π/10 - not much anymore but never ending
Yes.

depends. on a good day, 4. on a bad day, 8. no in betweens, tbh.
5*10¹⁰⁰⁰
Honestly around a 3 (i play piano), when I’m not achieving the results I want I know I just need to practice more/differently
6/10
Depends on the piece, averege 7.5/10
Please correct my grammar

probably like a 3 or 4. i honestly dont get frustrated that often with my music, especially during a lesson. and when i do, it's very mild annoyance
128?
