"Art"

TrifectaOfSquish

It's an attempt at nudging people to think about others and in this context to maybe offer a seat to someone less able to stand than you on the tube, it's been there for years

JamesSaysDance

What’s creepy? Are you okay? How is holding hands creepy?

Silvagadron

Their arms are oddly short. I guess that could be it.

AdjectiveNoun111

People with messed up ideas project them on everything they see

howlongwillthislast1

Do him for a hate crime I recon.

Nomad-BK

This is what zero social interactions does to a mf 😭

Broad_Airline450

It’s a heads up to expect little red people to start getting on the tube in the very near future.

Avenger1324

If it is meant to convey a message, it failed.

turbosprouts

if you look at the link in the u/Quick_Doubt_5484's post, you can see the source and what it's supposed to look like. It's supposed to look like the tube map, but with people holding hands as the lines. In cloth on the chair back, in a straight line, you can't see that — so it does look a bit odd.

Creepy_Fail_8635

It’s cute, I like abstract art and symbols

krisalyssa

Collaborative group goatse.

ear2win

Looks like you need to hang off the bars near the doors and grab other people to stabilise yourself and them

AsInLifeSoInArt

It does look like some kind of psychoanalytic diagram. Edit: hahaa! Someone downvoted this?!

Dan_Glebitz

More obscure advertising bollocks maybe 😒🤔 Increasingly I seem to see adverts etc where the the person designing it thinks they are being really clever but if I look at something and I does not give me the information straight away I walk on. I think the strategy is to design a poster etc that is bizzare / obscure it will make people investigate it thus achieving it's aim. Maybe I am just too old for all this psycological symbolism.

aBowToTie

At the risk of ire, I think it makes its point quite well.. It’s “six degrees of separation” (..on the width of a single seat; only two people fit). It says: “Be kind to strangers, because they might be loved by someone who is loved by you.” It’s: “love thy neighbour”

drtchockk

did you think this was some culture war bullshit?
