Any time I go to Toast (the PJ location), I get something that's not Pancakes. My wife and son always get the Pancakes, and I am filled with regret.
My wife got Red Velvet pancakes once, and it was one of the tastiest things I've ever tasted. They were a daily special that they don't make every time we're there. My son usually gets the cinnamon role ones, and they're amazing every time.
Love the pancakes at Toast, favorite location is Bay Shore. There is usually a seasonal special menu including seasonal pancakes. They are huge and delicious! Lots of flavors to choose from too.
Just saw this. 😃😃😃[pancakes Long Island.](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C1x9ZA6tAP0/?igsh=YjR6eGtiYXBrdWJh)
In case it weirds out.

Breakfast and lunch are the highest margins in restaurants. I’ve been to plenty of successful spots with those hours, opening even earlier than 8:30 more often
I would think a breakfast place should open much earlier. That place is right near the train, and most people take morning trains closer to 7. I feel like they’re missing out on a lot of business.
Crazy Beans in Stony Brook, Miller Place, or Greenport. They have awesome coffee too.
They have a pancake quesadilla that's hilariously delicious. Salty. Sweet. Filling.
Maureens is the most overrated place I've ever been to. Dont get me wrong, they are good. But, they arent THAT good. There are plenty of other breakfast places around now that are as good or better.
Breakfast for 90-100 dollars for 2 is ridiculous and overpriced. I always liked nappi’s nook in nesconset. Good pancakes for more than 1/2 of the price.
You said 90-100. It’s nowhere near that. If you think about it, anywhere is overpriced compared to making it yourself. Th thread is about pancakes, not price. GTFO
What are you getting that adds up to $100 lol. Maureen’s is expensive but even the specials are always around $19 max. Definitely worth going and the best pancakes imo but pretty unhealthy and wallet draining. Also, don’t go on the weekend unless you want to wait 1-2 hours for a seat
It includes a mandatory 20% gratuity. I have ate there. Eggs with some breakfast mean and pancakes pancakes coffee for 2 cost me close to close to 100. Is ridiculous. Plus the hours of operation is limited.
Are you saying you were charged mandatory gratuity, me and anyone I know have never had this happen and I’m sure people would be pissed if they started doing this. I am not sure how to interpret what you are trying to say but there’s no way 2 normal size people can eat $100 worth of shit at Maureen’s without exploding
Apollo Diner’s pumpkin pancakes are available year round and not on the menu.
Grand Stage Diner’s lemon-poppy pancakes are one of my personal favorites.
Terrace Diner had some of the best fresh blueberry pancakes I’ve had on the Island.
some other spots for good pancakes of the top of my head:
Cheesecake Factory (weekend brunch menu)
Hilltop restaurant in Syosset
Morning Rose cafe
Whiskey Down Diner / Restaurant
Maureen’s country kitchen
Chat Noir in RVC
Park Avenue Grill Amityville
Cornucopia Nosh also in Amityville
American Waffle House
Grandmothers kitchen in Farmingdale if you like huge pancakes.
I love the silver dollars at Imperial Diner in Freeport with powdered sugar!! Also Our Town Grille in Malverne, as well as Toast Coffeehouse of course <3 <3 <3
Nothing is going to beat what you are perfectly capable of making at home unless you like fluffy pancakes with no flavor. Then they are just carriers for syrup.
Not that the “light and fluffy” pancakes are bad by any means, but I like them a little dense, and there absolutely has to have a crisp edge, and if I can tap on the top of the pancake with my fork without it making a dent, 🤌🏻🤌🏻
glens dinette babylon
Glens is my favorite diner on LI
I second this
Been to Glenn’s tons of times and will give my honest favorite to premier diner in commack. Runner up is mundays in huntington.
Mundays is not a diner tho. It’s a good breakfast/ brunch spot, as is Toast around the corner.
Isn’t the question in regards to pancakes and mundays has really great pancakes lol

Whiskey Down Diner in Farmingdale. Morning Rose Cafe in Bellmore.
Good call, excellent pancakes
Not a fan of lemon infused pancakes personally. Everything else on this list is better, in my opinion, especially and including that other guys wife’s
The lemon blue stack is so damn good
I've only been once last summer. Their lobster roll was beautiful and delicious. Definitely getting pancakes next time I'm there.
Morning rose cafe
Just had them this past weekend! They’re what prompted me to ask this haha
Hatch. You can get a pancake “flight” of different flavors.
Huntington?
Yep!

There’s a new place in Bellmore. Please try and report!!!! Twisted Fork Brunch Company.
I passed it on my way to morning rose cafe this past weekend, definitely put it on the list of places to try!

Their hours are 8:30 to 3:30. That doesn’t seem like a great business model.

Thomas’s Ham & Eggery
I agree with Thomas's being the best
Yea OP is just wrong, the pancakes are same.
Crazy Beans in Stony Brook, Miller Place, or Greenport. They have awesome coffee too. They have a pancake quesadilla that's hilariously delicious. Salty. Sweet. Filling.
Brownstones
I think Buttermilk’s nails it, fluffy with a nice little crisp on the outside, great depth of flavor
I mean, if you’re going to call yourself Buttermilk’s, you’d better have some pretty fucking good pancakes.
Where is Buttermilks?
Patchogue on Main Street
Ty!
Brownstones, Toast, Nappi's Nook, Buttermilks
The Mineola Diner on Jericho Turnpike
Maureen's Kitchen, Smithtown
Maureens is the most overrated place I've ever been to. Dont get me wrong, they are good. But, they arent THAT good. There are plenty of other breakfast places around now that are as good or better.
Overrated
Breakfast for 90-100 dollars for 2 is ridiculous and overpriced. I always liked nappi’s nook in nesconset. Good pancakes for more than 1/2 of the price.
No way breakfast for 2 is $100. I was there like a week ago and we were $50 for 2. Still expensive for breakfast but not $100
Didn’t say 100 I said close to 100.
you literally said 90-100 dollars for two
Seems like you’re just trying to slander them
Seriously. I just think for breakfast it’s over priced. Compared to other places.
You could just say that you know instead of lying about mandatory gratuity and saying the prices are double of what they really are.
You said 90-100. It’s nowhere near that. If you think about it, anywhere is overpriced compared to making it yourself. Th thread is about pancakes, not price. GTFO

I double the tax which is very fair considering it’s breakfast
How much were you planning on leaving for gratuity?
Maureen’s kitchen is the most overrated restaurant on the island outside of Robke’s in Northport
Javier's cafe on main street, smithtown
I had the rainbow cookie pancakes here once that i still dream about

Landmark diner
Blue monkey pancakes at Glenn’s dinette

The chocolate chip pancakes at Glen Cove Diner are pretty freaking good.

SO good! I've never had a bad meal there
Nothing beats homemade pancakes tbh
Nothing is going to beat what you are perfectly capable of making at home unless you like fluffy pancakes with no flavor. Then they are just carriers for syrup.
Ihop
You don't like IHOP?
Any McDonald’s..
The shed in Huntington. Only place I’ll go have breakfast outside of the city since moving to queens and working in LI

Nappi's Nook

Maureen’s kitchen or IHOP
There’s a diner on Hempstead Tpke. and 106 that had really good pancakes. Haven’t been there in a bit though.
Long gone
Lindenhurst diner and glens in Babylon
Brooklyn is still Long Island: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1\_5lYOUbh0g&t=3s
No it’s not, even know it is. 🤣
Connoisseur? Tell me how you like your pancakes.
Not that the “light and fluffy” pancakes are bad by any means, but I like them a little dense, and there absolutely has to have a crisp edge, and if I can tap on the top of the pancake with my fork without it making a dent, 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Not rocket science. 100% buttermilk, less baking powder than normal, slightly thicker batter.
Not sure if you know how to read or not, but I never asked how to make good pancakes. I’m looking to try other peoples good pancakes.
It's not LI, but the best pancakes I've ever had are at Sneakers Bistro in Burlington, VT.
Cool. OP asked about the best pancakes ON long island
Glenn’s dinette in Babylon is a staple
Morning Rose in Bellmore.
Glen's Dinette in Babylon
Honestly, the pancakes at Demi's Place in Island Park are hands down the best I have ever eaten.
My dad says the Peter Pan diner in Bay Shore. 🤷♀️
r/longislandeats
