Battery. Swelling battery, replace immediately as it is somewhat dangerous.
The most common reason I've found for this is the battery directly below the track pad is inflating.
I forgot to mention the battery is actually fine
I wasn't entirely sure it was since you can click. This track pad is before haptic feedback

I fogot to mention. Battery is fine and no signs of swelling since i replaced the battery just a couple years ago.
